Please read this End User License Agreement ("Agreement") carefully before purchasing, downloading, or using Vektor Chess ("the Game"). By purchasing, downloading, or using the Game, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not purchase, download, or use the Game.

1. Grant of License

Boxfsh Software ("Licensor") grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use one copy of the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes on devices you own or control. This licence is granted solely through the Steam platform and is subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display the Game or any part of it;
Modify, adapt, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the Game;
Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer rights to the Game;
Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Game;
Use the Game for any commercial purpose without prior written consent from Boxfsh Software.

3. Intellectual Property

The Game, including all code, graphics, audio, text, and design, is the exclusive property of Boxfsh Software and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved by Boxfsh Software. "Vektor Chess" and "Boxfsh Software" are trademarks of Boxfsh Software.

4. User-Generated Content

Any screenshots, videos, or streams of the Game that you create and share publicly are permitted for personal and non-commercial use, including monetised content creation, provided they do not misrepresent the Game or its developer.

5. Updates and Changes

Boxfsh Software reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue the Game at any time. Updates delivered through Steam are governed by this Agreement unless a new agreement is presented.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. BOXFSH SOFTWARE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BOXFSH SOFTWARE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL BOXFSH SOFTWARE'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE GAME.

8. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination you must cease all use of the Game and destroy all copies in your possession.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
