Effective date: May 2, 2026
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and BURO OPS AS ("we", "us", or "our") for Voidline, including the game, desktop application, updates, online features, websites, services, and related materials (together, "Voidline" or the "Game").
By installing, launching, accessing, or using Voidline, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install, launch, access, or use Voidline.
Voidline is distributed through Steam. Your purchase, download, installation, refund rights through Steam, Steam account, Steam client, Steam overlay, Steam Cloud, achievements, reviews, and other Steam platform features are governed by Valve's applicable Steam agreements and policies.
This Agreement applies in addition to those platform terms. If there is a conflict about Steam platform functionality, Valve's applicable Steam terms control for that platform functionality.
Subject to this Agreement and applicable platform rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play Voidline for your personal entertainment on supported devices through Steam.
This license is not a sale of Voidline or any part of it. We and our licensors retain all rights not expressly granted to you.
Voidline, including its game code, design, artwork, audio, music, names, logos, user interface, gameplay systems, story, characters, worlds, online services, server code, data formats, and related materials, is owned by BURO OPS AS, Harald Roine / Voidline Team, or their licensors.
You may not use Voidline's names, logos, artwork, audio, or other protected material except as allowed by this Agreement, applicable law, platform rules, or written permission from us.
You may not:

• copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit Voidline except as allowed by law or written permission from us;
  
• host unauthorized servers, matchmaking services, relay services, or commercial services for Voidline;
  
• cheat, exploit bugs, automate gameplay, manipulate leaderboards, or interfere with other players;
  
• attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass access controls for Voidline's online services, except where applicable law expressly allows it;
  
• use join tokens, room tickets, authentication tokens, relay details, or other online-service data in an unauthorized way;
  
• remove, alter, or obscure copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
  
• use Voidline for unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful activity.

Voidline may provide solo play, online rooms, hosted multiplayer, leaderboards, saved progression, unlocks, rewards, Steam-backed authentication, anonymous identities, and other online features.
Online features may depend on Steam, SpacetimeDB, relay services, authentication providers, hosting providers, or other infrastructure. These services may be unavailable, interrupted, changed, reset, limited, or discontinued.
Display names, room names, leaderboard names, support messages, and similar text must not impersonate others, include contact details, reveal sensitive personal information, or contain unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, threatening, or otherwise abusive content.
We may remove leaderboard entries, reset progression, close rooms, restrict access, or suspend online features if we believe activity is abusive, fraudulent, harmful, unlawful, or damaging to the integrity of Voidline.
Content you submit through Voidline may include display names, room names, leaderboard entries, support messages, bug reports, feedback, gameplay telemetry, and similar material ("User Content").
You keep any rights you have in your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify, use, and process that User Content as needed to operate, secure, promote, support, and improve Voidline.
If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or feedback, we may use them without obligation to compensate you.
Purchases, refunds, payment processing, taxes, regional pricing, Steam account access, downloads, reviews, and other Steam store functions are handled by Steam under Valve's applicable terms and policies.
Unless a separate written promotion says otherwise, leaderboards, scores, rankings, unlocks, coins, rewards, and gameplay progression have no cash value and do not award money or prizes.
Voidline may process data needed to operate the game, provide online play, save progression, show leaderboards, authenticate Steam users, secure the service, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.
Our privacy practices are described in the Voidline Privacy Policy. Steam and other third-party services process data under their own privacy notices and terms.
Do not put real names, contact details, or sensitive personal information in public gameplay fields such as display names, room names, or leaderboard names.
Voidline is an evolving game. We may patch, update, rebalance, modify, add, remove, reset, suspend, or discontinue features, content, online services, servers, data formats, progression, leaderboards, rewards, rooms, supported platforms, or availability.
Some updates may be required to continue using Voidline or its online features.
Voidline may include or depend on third-party software, libraries, SDKs, infrastructure, or services. Those components may be subject to separate license terms or notices.
Nothing in this Agreement limits any rights you may have under open-source software licenses included with Voidline.
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate it by uninstalling Voidline and stopping use of the Game.
We may terminate or suspend your license or access to online features if you materially breach this Agreement, violate applicable platform rules, harm other players, attack the service, or use Voidline unlawfully.
After termination, you must stop using Voidline. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.
Voidline is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that Voidline or its online services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, free from data loss, or available in every region.
Nothing in this Agreement limits any warranty, refund, consumer, or other rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or unauthorized access arising from or related to Voidline or this Agreement.
Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Voidline's online services are not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 to use online features, or older if your local law requires it, unless a parent or guardian provides any consent required by law.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Norway, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve issues informally. Your mandatory consumer rights and local legal protections remain unaffected.
We may update this Agreement as Voidline changes. If we make material changes, we will make the updated version available through Steam, our website, or another reasonable method.
Continued use of Voidline after an updated Agreement becomes effective means you accept the updated Agreement, unless applicable law requires a different process.
