End User License Agreement

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: By downloading, installing, or playing Bitroca, you agree to be bound by the terms of this End User License Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the game.
1. Agreement to Terms
This End User License Agreement ("EULA" or "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "Player") and Bitroca ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Bitroca game client, companion app, website at bitroca.com, and all related services (collectively, the "Game" or "Services").
By creating an account, downloading the game client, or accessing any part of the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
2. CPU Usage and Proof-of-Work Mining — Explicit Consent Required
THIS IS A CRITICAL SECTION. BITROCA USES YOUR COMPUTER'S CPU FOR PROOF-OF-WORK COMPUTATION. BY PLAYING THIS GAME YOU EXPLICITLY CONSENT TO THE FOLLOWING:
2.1 What Proof-of-Work Mining Means
Certain areas of Bitroca, including the Mining World, require your computer's central processing unit (CPU) to perform mathematical computations known as proof-of-work (PoW). This is a core, intentional gameplay mechanic — not background software or malware.
2.2 Your Explicit Acknowledgments
By entering any mining zone or enabling mining features, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
Your CPU will be used to perform computational work while the mining mechanic is active
This CPU usage may increase your computer's power consumption and electricity costs
This CPU usage may cause your computer to run warmer than usual
You have the right to set CPU usage limits within the game settings at any time
You can disable mining entirely by avoiding mining zones or disabling the feature in settings
Bitroca is not responsible for any hardware wear, electricity costs, or thermal effects resulting from voluntary participation in the mining mechanic
2.3 CPU Limit Controls
The game provides a CPU usage slider in settings allowing you to set your contribution level (e.g., 25%, 50%, 100%). You are encouraged to set a limit appropriate for your hardware. Bitroca recommends starting at 50% or below.
3. Forge Tokens and In-Game Economy
3.1 No Real World Value
Forge Tokens, and all other in-game currencies, items, assets, and rewards within Bitroca (collectively "In-Game Assets"), have absolutely no real-world monetary value. They are virtual items that exist solely within the Bitroca game environment for entertainment purposes.
3.2 Closed Economy
Bitroca operates a fully closed in-game economy. Forge Tokens and In-Game Assets:
Cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or converted for real money, cryptocurrency, or any real-world asset
Have no value outside of the Bitroca game environment
Are not property, currency, securities, or financial instruments of any kind
Cannot be transferred between accounts except through in-game mechanics we explicitly provide
3.3 Prohibition on Real Money Trading
You are strictly prohibited from buying, selling, trading, or exchanging Forge Tokens or any In-Game Assets for real-world money, goods, services, or cryptocurrency through any means outside of the official Bitroca game interface. Violation of this rule may result in immediate account termination without refund.
3.4 Bitcoin Standard Mechanics
Bitroca's in-game economy is modeled on a Bitcoin standard including but not limited to: a fixed token supply cap, block reward halving events, and dynamic difficulty adjustment. These are game mechanics only. Any resemblance to real cryptocurrencies is purely for entertainment and simulation purposes and does not create any cryptocurrency, financial product, or investment opportunity.
3.5 Economy Modification Rights
We reserve the right to modify any aspect of the in-game economy at any time, including but not limited to: token supply, mining difficulty, halving schedules, block rewards, and market mechanics. We are not liable for any loss of In-Game Assets resulting from economy adjustments.
4. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with this EULA, Bitroca grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the game client for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes only.
This license does not include the right to:
Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the game
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the game client
Use the game for any commercial purpose
Create derivative works based on the game
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Submit false, fraudulent, or manipulated proof-of-work solutions to the server
Use bots, scripts, automation tools, or modified clients to simulate CPU mining without genuine computation
Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the mining system or economy
Attempt to inflate your Forge Token balance through any unauthorized means
Harass, abuse, or harm other players
Cheat, hack, or use unauthorized third-party software
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or other players' accounts
Engage in real-money trading of In-Game Assets
Use the game in any manner that violates applicable laws
Violation of any prohibited conduct may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice or refund.
6. Accounts and Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@bitroca.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend any account at our sole discretion, including for violations of this EULA, fraudulent mining activity, or conduct harmful to the game or its community.
Upon account termination for any reason, all associated In-Game Assets including Forge Tokens are permanently forfeited with no compensation.
7. Age Restriction
Bitroca is intended for users aged 13 and older. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use this service and that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to this EULA on your behalf.
We do not knowingly collect data from or provide services to children under 13. If we discover an account belongs to a child under 13, we will terminate that account immediately.
8. Server and Service Availability
Bitroca is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the game or servers. We reserve the right to:
Take servers offline for maintenance at any time with or without notice
Permanently shut down the game or any portion of it at any time
Modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the game
In the event of a permanent server shutdown, all In-Game Assets including Forge Tokens will be permanently lost. You acknowledge that this is an inherent risk of online gaming and agree that Bitroca has no obligation to compensate you for lost In-Game Assets in such an event.
9. Intellectual Property
All content within Bitroca, including but not limited to the game engine, artwork, music, sound effects, game mechanics, world design, economy systems, and the Bitroca name and logo, are the intellectual property of Bitroca and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain no ownership rights over any In-Game Assets, your account, or any content generated within the game.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BITROCA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
That the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
That defects will be corrected
That the game or servers are free of harmful components
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BITROCA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Loss of In-Game Assets, Forge Tokens, or account progress
Increased electricity costs resulting from CPU mining participation
Hardware damage or wear resulting from voluntary CPU usage
Data loss or service interruptions
Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the game
In no event shall Bitroca's total liability to you exceed the amount you have paid to Bitroca in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Bitroca is operated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for violations of intellectual property rights.
You agree to waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits against Bitroca to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Changes to This Agreement
We reserve the right to update or modify this EULA at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the game launcher, in-game notification, or email to the address associated with your account. Continued use of the game after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Agreement.
14. Entire Agreement
This EULA, together with our Privacy Policy available at bitroca.com, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Bitroca regarding your use of the game and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
