By downloading, installing, or using Quadium 4004 Workbench (hereinafter referred to as the "Software"), you agree to be bound by the terms of this License Agreement entered into between you and Jaime Clot Brugueras (hereinafter referred to as the "Licensor"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

1. Grant of License

The Licensor grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to download, install, and use the Software solely for personal and non-commercial purposes on compatible devices via the Steam platform, subject to the terms of use of said platform.

2. Restrictions on Use and High-Risk Activities

Except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law, you shall not:

• Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Software.
  
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
  
• Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, assign, or distribute the Software or any of its components.
  
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or copyright labels on the Software.
  
• Develop or use cheats, unauthorized mods, automation tools, or any other software designed to alter the intended operation of the Software.
  
• Use the Software or its hardware communication features, COM ports, or USB bridge (USB I/O Bridge) in life-support systems, medical equipment, nuclear facilities, aviation, automotive systems, safety systems, industrial applications, high-voltage installations, or any high-risk environment where technical or communication failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe property damage.

3. Hardware Communication and USB Port Features

The Software includes optional and experimental features for serial/USB port communication to interface with external hardware devices (such as microcontrollers, development boards, peripherals, or laboratory prototypes).

The user explicitly acknowledges and agrees that:

• These features are intended strictly for educational, simulation, and hobbyist purposes.
  
• The Licensor does not control, supervise, or guarantee the proper operation of physical devices, peripherals, wiring, schematics, or circuits connected by the user to their computing equipment.
  
• The user is solely responsible for verifying compatibility, voltage levels, polarity, electrical isolation, and the safety of any component or circuit physically connected to the device running the Software.

4. Intellectual Property

The Software, including its source code, design, user interface, documentation, graphics, images, audio, text, and any other constituent elements, is protected by intellectual property laws and belongs exclusively to the Licensor or its respective rights holders.

This license does not imply any transfer of intellectual property rights other than the limited right of use expressly granted herein.

5. Updates and Modifications

The Licensor may release updates, patches, or new versions of the Software through Steam.

Furthermore, the Licensor reserves the right to modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue Software features as necessary for technical, legal, or maintenance reasons.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.

The Licensor does not warrant that the Software will meet your specific requirements or that its operation will be error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or any other loss arising out of the use or inability to use the Software.

In particular, the Licensor is completely exempt from liability for any direct or indirect damage caused to electronic components, development boards, microcontrollers, peripherals, USB ports, microprocessors, computer hardware, or electrical installations resulting from use, short circuits, overvoltage, insulation failure, programming errors, or serial/USB communication failures enabled through the Software. The user assumes all risks associated with physical external hardware connections.

Where applicable law does not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, such limitations shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Termination

The license granted under this Agreement shall remain in effect for as long as the user complies with its terms.

The Licensor may terminate this license if the user fails to comply with any obligation set forth in this Agreement, without prejudice to any other legal remedies available.

Upon termination, the user must immediately cease all use of the Software.

9. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

10. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the user and the Licensor regarding the Software and supersedes all prior agreements, communications, or understandings relating to its subject matter.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights granted by applicable local law.
