Please read this End-User License Agreement ("EULA") carefully before playing "Earth Online" (the "Game"). By downloading, installing, or using the Game, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not download or play the Game.
1. LICENSE GRANT
Galaxy Craft ("we," "us," or "our") grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes, subject to your compliance with this EULA and the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
2. PRIVACY AND DATA COLLECTION (INCLUDING LOCATION DATA)
By playing the Game, you acknowledge and consent to the collection and use of certain data:
Rich Presence & Location Data: The Game utilizes Steam's Rich Presence feature to display your in-game status to your Steam friends. This may include broadcasting your approximate geographical location or in-game coordinates. By using this feature, you consent to this information being visible to your Steam network. You are solely responsible for managing your Steam privacy settings if you wish to restrict who can see your Rich Presence data.
Leaderboards: We collect and display gameplay data (such as scores, progression, and statistics) on public leaderboards. We reserve the right to reset or remove leaderboard data at our discretion, particularly in cases of suspected cheating.
3. USER-GENERATED CONTENT (UGC) AND SOCIAL FEATURES
The Game may include communication features, such as "Message in a Bottle" (Drift Bottles), allowing you to share text, images, or other content ("UGC") with other players.
Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your UGC.
Prohibited Content: You agree not to post or share any content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, abusive, obscene, discriminatory, or infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
License to Us: By creating UGC, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, moderate, distribute, and display your UGC within the Game.
Moderation: We do not actively pre-screen all UGC but reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any UGC at any time without notice.
4. CODE OF CONDUCT
You agree NOT to:
Use cheats, exploits, automation software (bots), or unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the Game or gain an unfair advantage on the leaderboards.
Harass, threaten, or stalk other players using the Game's social features or location data.
Use the Game for any commercial purposes without our express written consent.
5. THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS (STEAM)
The Game is accessed through Steam. Your use of the Game is also subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement. We are not responsible for Steam's services, network availability, or data handling practices.
6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Game is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the Game, including any issues related to the disclosure of your location via Steam Rich Presence or interactions with other players.
7. TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Game, leaderboards, or social features immediately and without notice if you violate this EULA.
8. CHANGES TO THIS EULA
We may update this EULA from time to time. Continued use of the Game after updates indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
