QUIETDETACH END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

Effective Date: August 13, 2026

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and LYU,YUN ("Licensor," "we," "us," or "our") for the Steam-distributed version of QuietDetach, including the software application, updates, patches, and related documentation made available through Steam (collectively, the "Application").

By downloading, installing, accessing, launching, or using the Application, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not download, install, access, launch, or use the Application.

This EULA applies only to the version of the Application distributed through Steam and supplements the Steam Subscriber Agreement as application-specific Subscription Terms. Your Steam account, purchase, billing, delivery, access, refunds, and Valve's processing of Steam platform data are governed by Valve's applicable terms and policies. If this EULA conflicts with Valve's terms on a Steam platform matter, Valve's terms control for that matter.

1. LICENSE GRANT

Subject to your compliance with this EULA and applicable law, Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use the Application through a Steam account or other Steam access mechanism authorized by Valve.

You may use the Application for personal purposes or for internal business purposes on Windows devices that you own, control, or are authorized to administer. Internal business use does not include resale, hosting, managed services, outsourced administration for third parties, or multi-tenant deployment unless Licensor separately authorizes that use in writing.

The Application is licensed, not sold. No ownership interest in the Application is transferred to you.

2. RESTRICTIONS

Except where this EULA, Valve's applicable terms, or mandatory law expressly permits it, you may not, and may not permit another person to:

- copy, publish, distribute, or make the Application available to others;
- sell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, host, timeshare, or provide the Application as a service;
- modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the Application;
- remove or alter copyright, trademark, proprietary, or legal notices;
- circumvent or interfere with licensing, DRM, access-control, integrity, security, or platform mechanisms of the Application, Steam, Windows, or third-party software;
- use the Application to bypass or interfere with anti-cheat systems, security prompts, protected processes, access controls, or other safeguards;
- use the Application to control software, devices, accounts, or systems that you do not own, control, or have permission to administer;
- use the Application to automate passwords, authentication codes, CAPTCHAs, UAC or secure-desktop prompts, purchases, financial transactions, license acceptance, legal consent, or other sensitive or high-impact actions; or
- use the Application in violation of law, third-party rights, third-party terms of service, workplace policies, sanctions, export-control rules, or other obligations that apply to you.

3. APPLICATION FUNCTIONALITY

QuietDetach is a Windows foreground-window automation utility. It allows you to create rules associated with an executable file and recorded window characteristics, select one or more user-interface controls exposed through Microsoft UI Automation, test those controls, and configure the Application to invoke them in sequence when matching windows appear.

When a rule is active, the Application may inspect visible top-level windows and their UI Automation properties, bring a matching window to the foreground, inspect its available UI Automation controls, and invoke a recorded control if the configured window, element identity, element position, rule order, and conflict checks match. Depending on the control you selected and the behavior of the target application, an invocation may dismiss, close, minimize, confirm, submit, or otherwise change that application.

During rule recording, the Application may temporarily capture a single selected window through Windows Graphics Capture so that you can identify the intended control. The Application does not save that captured image as part of the rule. Normal rule execution does not use screenshot matching, full-screen capture, OpenCV, simulated mouse movement, SendInput, or typed credential capture.

The Application does not inject code into target processes and does not grant you any right to access or automate third-party software. Your use of a target application remains subject to that application's terms and your authorization to operate it.

4. USER RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTOMATION RISK

You choose every target application, window, control, rule, and sequence. You are responsible for understanding what a selected control does and for the consequences of its invocation.

Before enabling a rule, you must test it in a safe state and verify that it targets the intended window and control. You should save work, maintain appropriate backups, and pause or disable affected rules after an update or configuration change to Windows, QuietDetach, or a target application until you have tested them again.

UI Automation metadata is supplied by Windows and the target application. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, duplicated, unavailable, or changed without notice. Window focus restrictions, privilege boundaries, application updates, localization, display configuration, accessibility implementation, timing, and other system conditions may prevent a rule from running or may change the effect of an invoked control. The Application's matching and conflict checks reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every intended action will occur or that an unintended action can never occur.

The Application is not designed for unattended safety-critical, medical, emergency, industrial-control, infrastructure, security, financial, or other use where an incorrect, delayed, duplicated, or omitted action could cause injury, death, physical damage, material loss, or critical service interruption. Do not use it for those purposes.

5. PERMISSIONS, LOGIN TASK, AND SYSTEM CHANGES

The Application normally runs in the signed-in user's interactive Windows session. If you enable "Run at login," the Application requests Windows administrator approval to create a current-user scheduled task that launches QuietDetach in the background at user sign-in with the highest privileges available to that user. This can allow the Application to interact with some elevated target applications.

The Application may request administrator approval again to remove or update that scheduled task. Disabling "Run at login" removes the task when Windows permits it. Updates or uninstall cleanup may also remove obsolete QuietDetach startup entries or Explorer integrations created by earlier versions.

You are responsible for deciding whether elevated startup is appropriate for your device and organization. Windows, security software, organizational policy, or account permissions may block or modify these operations.

6. LOCAL DATA AND PRIVACY

The Application stores its settings, rules, and rotating operational logs locally under the current user's Local AppData directory. Stored rule data may include rule and step identifiers, rule names, enablement and validation state, executable paths, executable product and company metadata, window classes and geometry, window style information, owner-window relationships, UI Automation control properties, accessible control names, and normalized control positions.

Operational logs may include timestamps, internal rule or step identifiers, operation names, matching or invocation outcomes, status messages, and error information. The Application is designed not to store captured window images, window titles, typed input, passwords, authentication codes, or the contents of text fields in its logs.

The Application's core local functionality does not automatically transmit its settings, rules, captured window images, UI Automation data, or operational logs to Licensor. Steam, Windows, target applications, and other third-party software may separately process data under their own terms and privacy notices. Valve's processing of Steam account, purchase, and platform data is governed by Valve's applicable privacy disclosures.

You are responsible for protecting access to your Windows account and local data. Uninstalling the Application may leave user-created rules and logs on the device so that they can be restored after reinstallation, unless you delete them separately.

7. UPDATES, COMPATIBILITY, AND AVAILABILITY

Licensor may provide updates, fixes, compatibility changes, feature changes, or migrations for the Application. Steam may deliver updates automatically under Valve's applicable terms. An update to the Application, Windows, or a target application may invalidate a recorded rule or require you to record or test it again.

This EULA does not require Licensor to provide any particular feature, update, compatibility result, support response, or continued availability except where applicable law requires otherwise. The Application depends on Windows APIs, UI Automation providers, Windows Graphics Capture, device configuration, Steam behavior, and third-party applications that Licensor does not control.

8. OWNERSHIP AND THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS

The Application and its intellectual property rights are owned by Licensor or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Licensor reserves all rights not expressly granted by this EULA.

The Application may include or rely on third-party libraries, runtime components, fonts, and platform services governed by separate terms. Applicable third-party notices are provided with the Application or its distribution materials. Those terms apply to the relevant third-party components and do not expand your rights in the Application except as they expressly provide.

9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS, GUARANTEES, OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS, GUARANTEES, AND REPRESENTATIONS, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, DATA PRESERVATION, SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY, AVAILABILITY, AND UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE OPERATION.

LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL RECOGNIZE EVERY WINDOW OR CONTROL, THAT A RULE WILL RUN AT A PARTICULAR TIME, THAT WINDOWS WILL ALLOW FOREGROUND ACTIVATION, THAT A TARGET APPLICATION WILL IMPLEMENT UI AUTOMATION CORRECTLY, OR THAT AN INVOKED CONTROL WILL HAVE THE RESULT YOU EXPECT.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SUPPLIERS, AND DISTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SIMILAR DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF BUSINESS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, UNINTENDED APPLICATION ACTIONS, SYSTEM INSTABILITY, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APPLICATION OR YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE IT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE APPLICATION OR THIS EULA WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APPLICATION THROUGH STEAM.

These limitations apply to all claims and legal theories to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in this EULA excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. MANDATORY CONSUMER RIGHTS AND REFUNDS

Nothing in this EULA limits refunds, statutory guarantees, withdrawal rights, repair or replacement rights, digital-content remedies, data-protection rights, or other non-waivable rights that apply under Valve's policies or mandatory law.

Purchases and refund requests made through Steam are handled under Valve's applicable Steam refund rules and any mandatory law that applies to you. Where mandatory consumer law restricts a disclaimer, limitation, termination term, or other provision of this EULA, that provision applies only to the maximum extent permitted by that law.

12. TERM AND TERMINATION

This EULA remains effective until terminated. You may terminate it by stopping use of and uninstalling the Application. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Licensor may terminate your license if you materially breach this EULA. When the license ends, you must stop using and uninstall the Application, except where applicable law or Steam platform functionality permits otherwise.

Changes to, suspension of, or termination of your Steam account or Subscription are governed by Valve's terms and platform processes.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including restrictions, ownership, third-party terms, disclaimers, limitations of liability, preservation of mandatory rights, and general provisions.

13. EXPORT, SANCTIONS, AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE

You are responsible for complying with export-control, sanctions, import, customs, and other legal requirements that apply to your access to or use of the Application. You may not use, export, re-export, transfer, or otherwise make the Application available in violation of applicable sanctions, embargoes, export-control laws, or other legal restrictions.

14. SUPPORT AND CONTACT

Application-specific support or legal questions should be directed through the support or contact channel provided by Licensor for QuietDetach, including the support contact shown on its Steam store page.

Valve is responsible for Steam platform matters only as described in Valve's applicable terms and support processes. Valve is not responsible for Application-specific support except where Valve expressly states otherwise.

15. CHANGES TO THIS EULA

Licensor may update this EULA for future versions of the Application or when reasonably required for legal, platform, security, privacy, or operational reasons. Where applicable law requires notice or consent, the updated EULA will not take effect for you until the required notice or consent has been provided. If you do not agree to an updated EULA, you must stop using the affected version of the Application, subject to any non-waivable rights you have.

No update is intended to retroactively remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be removed.

16. GENERAL

This EULA is the entire agreement between you and Licensor concerning the Steam-distributed version of the Application, except for Valve's applicable terms, applicable third-party notices, and any separate written agreement expressly issued by Licensor.

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The affected provision will be limited or interpreted only to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable where possible. Licensor's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign or transfer this EULA except as Valve's terms or mandatory law permits. Licensor may assign this EULA in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Application or related business.
