1. Who we are & acceptance
DeckDEX (the “Game”) is operated by Source Byte Sp. z o.o., Warszawska 40 / 2A, 40-008 Katowice, Polska, registration number 386561446 (“we”, “us”). By signing in to the Game with Steam you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not sign in or play.
2. Age
The Game is intended for players aged 16 and over. By signing in you confirm you are at least 16 years old. The Game may contain mild language and player-generated content (including in chat features) that some may find offensive; such content reflects its authors and not us.
3. Your account
You sign in through Steam. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Steam credentials secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate the in-game economy, harass others, or use unauthorised tools.
4. Virtual items & the in-game economy
Cards, currency, packs and other in-game items have no real-world monetary value, are not your property, and cannot be redeemed for real money. We may add, change, re-balance or remove items, features and economy rules at any time. The Game is in active development (early access / playtest / demo) and may contain bugs, be reset, or change significantly.
5. Player conduct & user content
You agree not to break the law, infringe others’ rights, send abusive, hateful, harassing or illegal content, spam, cheat, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Game or its servers. We may remove content and restrict accounts at our discretion to keep the Game safe.
6. Feedback and ideas
If you send us feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports or other materials about the Game (for example through the in-game Feedback feature), you agree that they are provided voluntarily and non-confidentially. You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, modify, develop and commercialise them for any purpose, without any obligation, attribution or compensation to you. You confirm you have the right to send them and that doing so creates no obligation on our part to use them or to keep them confidential. This clause exists so we can keep improving the Game freely; we value your input and treat it respectfully.
7. Intellectual property
The Game and all related content, trademarks and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Game for your own entertainment. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or exploit the Game except as the law expressly permits.
8. Availability & changes
We provide the Game “as is” and “as available”. We may update, suspend or discontinue the Game or any feature, and we may change these Terms; material changes will be reflected by an updated date here and re-confirmed on sign-in. Continued play after changes means you accept them.
9. Disclaimers & liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of in-game items or progress, or service interruptions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including your mandatory consumer rights under Polish and EU law).
10. Termination
You may stop playing at any time and request deletion of your account (see Settings → Account, and our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access for breach of these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Questions? Contact admin@source-byte.com.
