This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between you and Mirako ("Mirako", "we", "us", or "our") regarding your use of paper2galgame (the "Game").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Game, you confirm that you have read and agreed to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Game.


Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Mirako grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use the Game for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

The Game and its associated software, artwork, characters, stories, music, text, interface, and other materials are licensed, not sold. Mirako and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted under this Agreement.


You may not:

• copy, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Game except as expressly permitted by this Agreement;
  
• redistribute the Game or provide unauthorized access to it;
  
• circumvent security, account, authentication, or access-control measures;
  
• use cheats, automation, malicious code, or unauthorized tools that interfere with the Game or its online features;
  
• attempt to disrupt, overload, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Game, its servers, or another user's account;
  
• use the Game to violate applicable law or the rights of another person;
  
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with Mirako.

Nothing in this Agreement prevents you from exercising rights that cannot lawfully be restricted under applicable law.


Some optional online features may require a Steam account or another supported account.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity conducted through it. You must not sell, transfer, share, or misuse an account in a manner that compromises the Game, its services, or other users.

Mirako may suspend or restrict access to online features if an account materially violates this Agreement, applicable law, or the rights of others. Where reasonably possible, Mirako will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.

The Game may provide optional online functions, including document processing, account-related functions, content sharing, or Steam Cloud synchronization.

Online functions may be changed, temporarily suspended, or discontinued for maintenance, security, technical, legal, or operational reasons. Mirako does not guarantee that optional online functions will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Where reasonably possible, Mirako will provide advance notice before permanently discontinuing a material online function.


The Game may allow you to submit papers, documents, text, images, or other content ("User Content") for automated processing.

You retain all rights that you hold in your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Mirako a limited, non-exclusive license to receive, temporarily process, analyze, and transform that content solely for the purpose of providing the function requested by you.

Uploaded papers are processed temporarily on Mirako's servers. After processing is completed, the server-side copy of the uploaded paper is deleted and is not retained as long-term storage. Mirako does not sell uploaded papers or use them for advertising.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right and all necessary permissions to submit the User Content. You must not upload content that:

• infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, or other rights;
  
• contains trade secrets, confidential information, or personal information that you are not authorized to process;
  
• is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, hateful, or seriously harmful;
  
• contains malware, malicious instructions, or material intended to interfere with the Game or its servers;
  
• violates applicable platform rules or this Agreement.

Because uploaded papers are deleted after processing, Mirako may be unable to recover them. You are responsible for retaining your own original files and backup copies.

Mirako may refuse to process content when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the Game or other users, or enforce this Agreement.


You may create and share non-commercial modifications for the Game ("Mods"), subject to this Agreement.

Mods that use or depict paper2galgame characters, artwork, story elements, names, settings, or other Mirako intellectual property may not be sold, licensed for a fee, placed behind paid access, used to promote paid products, or otherwise commercially exploited without Mirako's prior written permission.

You must clearly identify unofficial Mods as fan-made or unofficial content. You must not state or imply that a Mod is an official Mirako product or has been endorsed by Mirako.

Mods must not:

• contain unlawful material, malware, or malicious functionality;
  
• include content copied from another person without permission;
  
• infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  
• interfere with the Game, its online functions, or other users;
  
• circumvent access controls or enable unauthorized access to paid or restricted content.

Mirako may revoke permission for a specific Mod if it violates this Agreement or causes material harm to the Game, Mirako, or other users.


You may record, livestream, and publish gameplay videos and screenshots of the Game.

You may publish such content through video or livestreaming platforms that provide advertising revenue, subscriptions, donations, or platform revenue sharing, provided that:

• the content does not falsely imply official endorsement by Mirako;
  
• you comply with applicable law and applicable platform rules;
  
• you do not separately redistribute substantial Game assets, music, character files, or other Game materials;
  
• you do not use the content in a misleading or unlawful manner.

This permission does not transfer ownership of any Game intellectual property to you.

Music or other content identified as belonging to a third party may be subject to separate restrictions imposed by the relevant rights holder.


Game settings, progress, generated results, and save data are stored locally on your device.

If you enable Steam Cloud, eligible save data may also be stored and synchronized through Steam Cloud. Mirako does not separately store your game save data on its own servers.

Data stored or synchronized through Steam Cloud is processed by Valve and is subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement and Valve's Privacy Policy.

If you use account or online processing functions, Mirako may process limited technical information necessary to provide, secure, and maintain those functions, such as account identifiers, authentication information, request status, error information, and security logs.

Uploaded papers are processed temporarily only to provide the function requested by you. After processing is completed, the server-side copy of the uploaded paper is deleted and is not retained as long-term storage.

Mirako does not sell personal data or use personal data for third-party advertising.

The Game, including its code, interface, title, characters, artwork, stories, music, sounds, and other materials, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited permissions expressly granted under this Agreement, you may not use Mirako's intellectual property without prior written permission.

Your ownership of original User Content does not give you ownership of the Game or any Mirako character, artwork, setting, or other intellectual property incorporated into or referenced by that content.


Mirako may provide patches, updates, corrections, additional content, or other changes to the Game.

Updates may be required for compatibility, security, online functionality, or continued access to particular features. An update may add, modify, or remove features where reasonably necessary.


The Game may be distributed through Steam and may use Steam platform functions such as authentication, achievements, or Steam Cloud.

Your use of Steam is governed separately by the Steam Subscriber Agreement, Valve's Privacy Policy, and other applicable Steam rules. Mirako is not responsible for the availability or independent operation of services controlled by Valve.

The Game does not grant you any ownership interest in Steam or any third-party platform.


To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Game and its optional online functions are provided "as is" and "as available."

Mirako does not guarantee that the Game will always be uninterrupted, completely secure, compatible with every device, or free of errors.

Automated results generated from uploaded papers may contain mistakes, omissions, or unexpected output. You are responsible for reviewing generated results before relying on, publishing, or distributing them.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.


To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mirako will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Game.

Mirako is not responsible for the loss of uploaded papers or local save data. You should maintain appropriate backup copies of important files.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including any mandatory consumer protections applicable to you.


This Agreement remains effective until terminated.

You may terminate it at any time by ceasing use of and uninstalling the Game.

Mirako may suspend online access or terminate the license granted under this Agreement if you materially or repeatedly violate this Agreement. Where appropriate and reasonably possible, Mirako will provide notice and an opportunity to correct or appeal the violation.

Upon termination, you must cease using and uninstall the Game, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.

Provisions concerning intellectual property, User Content permissions required to complete previously requested processing, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution will survive termination where legally applicable.


Mirako may update this Agreement to reflect changes to the Game, online functions, security requirements, business operations, or applicable law.

Material changes will be communicated through the Game, its Steam store page, or another reasonable method. Updated terms will apply from the stated effective date.

Changes to this Agreement will not reduce mandatory consumer rights provided by applicable law.


This Agreement is governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Mirako is legally registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections or dispute-resolution rights available under the laws of your place of residence.

Before commencing formal proceedings, you and Mirako are encouraged to attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting peter@mirako.cn.


If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Mirako's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to enforce that provision later.

You may not transfer this Agreement without Mirako's prior written permission. Mirako may transfer this Agreement as part of a merger, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Game, subject to applicable law.

This Agreement and any documents expressly incorporated into it constitute the agreement between you and Mirako regarding the Game.
