By using Wallpaper Animator ("the App"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.


We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or modify the App.

• Your account is tied to your Steam ID. One account per Steam user.
  
• The full App includes an AI generation allowance at no additional cost. Image creations are limited per day (currently 5, resetting every day at 00:00 UTC). Video animations use animation slots that accrue over time: a small one-time welcome grant, then one slot per day for your first two weeks of ownership and one per week after that, banked up to a small cap. The free Demo includes a single one-time image creation.
  
• Your allowance is consumed when you submit a generation request. Image generations are counted before the request is processed, including prompts that are rejected by the content moderator — this is intentional, to deter abuse of the moderator. Video animations are counted only after the source image passes moderation.
  
• Unused image allowance does not carry over to the next day. Unused animation slots stay banked up to the cap. The allowance is non-transferable between accounts.
  
• We reserve the right to modify the allowance amounts, accrual rates, or the allowance system at any time.
  
• If your Steam account is suspended or terminated by Valve, your access to the App may also be affected. We are not responsible for any such loss resulting from actions taken by Valve.

• Wallpaper Animator is a one-time purchase on Steam. There are currently no in-app purchases, virtual currency, or recurring charges — the generation allowance is included with the full App at no additional cost. If optional paid extras (such as additional animation slots) are ever introduced, they will be processed through Steam and these terms will be updated first.
  
• All payment for the App is processed by Steam. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
  
• Refunds: Refunds for the App purchase are handled by Steam under Valve's standard refund policy. Direct any refund requests to Steam Support.

• The App uses third-party AI services to generate images and videos based on your input: OpenAI's GPT-5.4 model family for prompt moderation, refinement, and image description; OpenAI's GPT Image 2 for image generation and editing (both via the OpenAI API); and Google's Veo 3.1 Fast (via Google Cloud Vertex AI, with fal.ai as a backup route) for video generation.
  
• AI-generated content is provided "as is" with no warranty of quality, accuracy, originality, or fitness for any purpose.
  
• You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content. Do not use the App to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others. Generating NSFW, adult, or sexually explicit content is strictly prohibited.
  
• The legal ownership of AI-generated content is uncertain under applicable law and may vary by jurisdiction. We do not claim ownership of content you generate, but we cannot guarantee that you hold enforceable intellectual property rights over it either. AI-generated content may also be subject to the terms and policies of the underlying AI providers.
  
• Generated images and videos include text metadata (PNG and MP4 tags) identifying them as AI-generated content, in line with the EU AI Act Article 50 transparency requirement for synthetic media. Removing or altering this metadata may put you in breach of that requirement when redistributing the content within the EU.

• Prompts you submit and images you upload as starting frames for video generation are checked by an AI content moderation model before processing.
  
• We may reject prompts or images that depict or attempt to depict: sexual or pornographic content, graphic violence or gore, real identifiable people, copyrighted or trademarked characters and IP, political figures or propaganda, or hateful content.
  
• Rejected image requests still count against your daily allowance (see §2) in order to prevent abuse of the moderation system.
  
• Moderation is automated and imperfect. We may update the moderation policy and the underlying models at any time.

• You may publish wallpapers to the community gallery, making them freely available to other users.
  
• By publishing, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute the wallpaper to other users of the App for as long as it remains published.
  
• By publishing, you also permit other users of the App to create and publish derivative wallpapers (edits and animations) based on your published wallpaper within the App. The App records the lineage of such derivatives and may display the original creator. Derivatives created while your wallpaper was published are not affected by you later unpublishing it.
  
• By publishing, you confirm that the content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
  
• You can unpublish your own wallpapers at any time, which revokes the above license going forward.
  
• We may remove any community content at our sole discretion, including content that is reported by other users or that we consider inappropriate. When we do so, we record the reason for the removal and, on request, will provide it to you together with information on how to contest the decision (this is the statement of reasons required by EU Digital Services Act Article 17).
  
• We are not liable for user-submitted community content.

• If you believe a wallpaper in the community gallery infringes your copyright or other rights, email us at hello@wallpaperanimator.com with: (a) identification of the work you believe is infringed; (b) the wallpaper's title, creator name, or another identifier that lets us locate it; (c) your name and contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, their agent, or the law; and (e) a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
  
• We review notices promptly and remove or disable access to infringing content. This procedure implements the notice-and-action mechanism of EU Digital Services Act Article 16 and serves as the notification process described in Section 512(c)(3) of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Our designated agent is registered in the U.S. Copyright Office's DMCA Designated Agent Directory.
  
• If your published wallpaper is removed following such a notice, we will record and on request provide the reason (see §6), and you may contest the removal by writing to the same email address with evidence that you hold the necessary rights.
  
• We terminate the community publishing privileges, and in appropriate circumstances the accounts, of users who repeatedly publish infringing content.
  
• Notices may also be sent by post to the address in §18.

• If you submit feedback through the App, you grant us permission to read, store, and act on that feedback. We may contact you via Steam in response.
  
• Feedback you submit is not treated as confidential, and by submitting it you agree that we may use suggestions or ideas it contains without compensation or attribution.

You agree not to:

• Use the App to generate illegal, harmful, abusive, or NSFW/adult content.
  
• Attempt to exploit, hack, or disrupt the App, its servers, or the content moderation system.
  
• Abuse the reporting system or community features.
  
• Circumvent the daily generation limits or authentication.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.


The App, its code, design, and branding are our intellectual property. Your use of the App does not grant you any ownership rights to the App itself.


The App relies on third-party services (Steam, OpenAI, Google Cloud, fal.ai, ByteDance, Tigris, Fly.io). Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and policies of these services. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party services.


Our collection and use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, available at: https://wallpaperanimator.com/privacy. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.


The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your expectations.


To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from AI-generated content.


Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain all rights granted to you under EU consumer protection law, including the right to bring claims before the courts of your country of residence, regardless of the governing law clause below.


We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be presented to you for acceptance through Steam the next time you launch the App. Continued use of the App after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.


These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
