END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
Voidshift
Last Updated: 2027
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“You,” “Player,” or “User”) and Retro Ripple Studios (“Developer,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) regarding your use of the video game Voidshift (“Game”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Game.
# 1. Ownership of Your Copy
When you legally purchase Voidshift, you own your copy of the Game for personal use.
Retro Ripple Studios believes players should retain access to the games they purchase. This Agreement is intended to protect the Game’s creative work, intellectual property, and fair distribution — not to interfere with normal ownership, offline play, preservation, criticism, or discussion.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to remove your ability to play the version of the Game you legally obtained, except where required by law.
# 2. License Grant
Retro Ripple Studios grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
*Download and install the Game
*Play the Game on compatible personal devices
*Access updates, patches, and downloadable content where provided
*Create personal backups where permitted by applicable law
*Use the Game without always-online requirements unless explicitly stated otherwise
This license is provided for personal and non-commercial entertainment purposes.
You may play the Game indefinitely after purchase, subject only to applicable law and the limited restrictions described in this Agreement.
# 3. Player Freedom & Fair Use
You are free to:
*Play the Game privately or publicly
*Discuss, review, criticize, or analyze the Game
*Share screenshots and gameplay clips
*Archive your purchased copy for personal preservation purposes where legally permitted
*Use accessibility tools, reshade tools, controller remappers, or other personal-use software that does not redistribute or exploit the Game
Retro Ripple Studios supports preservation, criticism, speedrunning, modding discussion, and community engagement surrounding retro-inspired horror games and artistic media.
# 4. Streaming, Videos & Content Creation
You are explicitly permitted to:
*Record gameplay footage
*Livestream the Game
*Upload videos featuring the Game
*Create reviews, essays, retrospectives, commentary, lore analysis, or documentaries
*Monetize videos or livestreams featuring gameplay of the Game
*Create speedrun, challenge, or reaction content
No separate permission is required for normal content creation.
However, you may not:
*Claim ownership of the Game or its assets
*Upload standalone extracted assets for redistribution
*Reupload the full soundtrack or game files as standalone downloadable content unless legally permitted
*Misrepresent unofficial projects as official Retro Ripple Studios products
# 5. Modifications & Community Content
Personal modifications (“mods”) created for private use are generally permitted so long as they:
*Do not include stolen or illegally distributed assets
*Are not sold commercially without permission
*Do not redistribute substantial portions of the Game itself
*Do not contain malicious software or harmful code
*Do not falsely imply official endorsement by Retro Ripple Studios
Retro Ripple Studios reserves the right to restrict mods only where necessary to protect the Game, players, or applicable legal rights.
# 6. Restrictions
To protect the Game and its creative work, you may not:
*Sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Game files
*Upload the full Game or installer to unauthorized distribution sites
*Extract and reuse models, textures, audio, music, animations, code, or other assets in unrelated projects without written permission
*Reverse engineer or decompile the Game for commercial exploitation or unauthorized redistribution
*Use the Game or its assets to create counterfeit or misleading products
*Circumvent payment systems or illegally obtain the Game
These restrictions are intended to prevent piracy, asset theft, and commercial misuse — not to restrict normal gameplay, preservation, criticism, or community discussion.
# 7. Intellectual Property
Voidshift, Edenway Market, Retro Ripple Studios, and all associated characters, logos, names, environments, artwork, audio, music, dialogue, writing, code, and visual elements are owned by Retro Ripple Studios or their respective licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
All rights not explicitly granted in this Agreement remain reserved.
# 8. Third-Party, Licensed & Public-Domain Material
The Game may contain:
*Licensed third-party technologies
*Middleware tools
*Fonts
*Audio libraries
*Public-domain recordings or materials
*Open-source software components
Such materials remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to separate licenses where applicable.
Public-domain materials, where used, are believed to be used lawfully and in accordance with their legal status at the time of inclusion.
# 9. Updates & Future Content
Retro Ripple Studios may release:
*Patches
*Bug fixes
*Stability updates
*Quality-of-life improvements
*Additional content
Updates may modify gameplay systems, visuals, audio, balancing, or compatibility features.
However, Retro Ripple Studios does not guarantee future updates, online functionality, or continued support for any specific platform indefinitely.
# 10. Online Features
If the Game includes online, leaderboard, cloud, or community features, those services may change, be interrupted, or eventually be discontinued.
Where possible, Retro Ripple Studios intends for the core single-player experience of Voidshift to remain playable independently of online services.
# 11. No Warranty
The Game is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
While Retro Ripple Studios has made reasonable efforts to provide a stable and enjoyable experience, we do not guarantee that the Game will be completely error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every hardware or software configuration.
Use of the Game is at your own risk.
# 12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Retro Ripple Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from the use of — or inability to use — the Game.
This includes, but is not limited to:
*Data loss
*Hardware or software conflicts
*Corrupted saves
*Performance issues
*Interruptions of service
*Peripheral compatibility issues
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
# 13. Termination
This Agreement is intended to coexist with player ownership, not override it.
Retro Ripple Studios does not intend to revoke access to legally purchased offline copies of the Game except in rare situations involving unlawful distribution, fraud, or other serious violations of applicable law.
If portions of this Agreement are violated, the Developer may restrict access to specific services, official online features, or community systems where necessary.
# 14. Preservation & Legacy Access
Retro Ripple Studios recognizes the importance of game preservation, archival, and historical access to interactive media.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to prohibit lawful preservation activities permitted under applicable law, including personal archival backups or museum and research preservation where legally recognized.
# 15. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under applicable local laws and regulations, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
If any section of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining sections shall remain in full effect.
# 16. Changes to This Agreement
Retro Ripple Studios may update this Agreement periodically.
Updated versions may accompany future patches, updates, expansions, or rereleases of the Game. Continued use of the Game after material updates to the Agreement constitutes acceptance of those updated terms.
