END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT: R.I.P.
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“User” or “you”) and the developers of R.I.P. (“Licensor,” “we,” or “us”) for the video game software titled R.I.P. (also known as R.I.P.: Rescue Inverted Protocol), including all associated media, printed materials, smart device binaries, and online or electronic documentation (collectively, the “Product”).
By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Product, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, do not install or use the Product.
1. LICENSE GRANT & STEAM SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT
The Product is licensed, not sold. Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, limited license to download, install, and use one copy of the Product for your personal, non-commercial entertainment use on a device that meets the Product’s system requirements. This license is subject to your prior and ongoing acceptance of the Steam Subscriber Agreement (SSA) provided by Valve Corporation.
2. UNREAL® ENGINE PROVISIONS AND DISCLAIMERS
The Product is developed using the Unreal® Engine. Accordingly, the following terms apply for the explicit benefit of Epic Games, Inc. (“Epic”):
A. Disclaimer of Warranties
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT USE OF THE PRODUCT IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND THAT THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO SATISFACTORY QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, ACCURACY AND EFFORT IS WITH YOU. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE PRODUCT AND THE UNREAL® ENGINE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
LICENSOR AND EPIC GAMES, INC. HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT AND THE UNREAL® ENGINE, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND/OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OF ACCURACY, OF QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS.
B. Limitation of Liability
TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR OR EPIC GAMES, INC. BE LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY, OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT OR THE UNREAL® ENGINE, HOWEVER CAUSED, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF LICENSOR OR EPIC GAMES, INC. HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
3. OWNERSHIP AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Licensor retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Product, including all copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, trade names, proprietary rights, patents, titles, computer codes, audiovisual effects, themes, settings, artwork, sound effects, musical compositions, and moral rights.
R.I.P. uses Unreal® Engine. Unreal® is a trademark or registered trademark of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States of America and elsewhere. Unreal® Engine, Copyright 1998 – 2026, Epic Games, Inc. All rights reserved.
4. RESTRICTIONS
You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code from the Product or any portion thereof, except as permitted by applicable law.
Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based upon the Product.
Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the Product.
Exploit the Product or any of its parts for any commercial purpose.
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices contained in or on the Product.
5. TERMINATION
This Agreement is effective until terminated by you or Licensor. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically without notice from the Licensor if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this Agreement. Upon termination of the Agreement, you must cease all use of the Product and destroy all copies, full or partial, of the Product.
6. SEVERABILITY AND GOVERNING LAW
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your country of residence, without giving effect to any choice of law principles.
