Arena: Run & Hit Terms of Use

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Use are intended to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users regarding the use of the PC online game "Arena: Run & Hit" and related services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by Awhi Studio (hereinafter referred to as the "Company").

Article 2 (Definitions of Terms)

1. "Service" refers to the "Arena: Run & Hit" game and all associated online services provided by the Company through the Steam platform.

2. "User" refers to a person who agrees to these Terms of Use and accesses and uses the Services provided by the Company.

3. "Account" refers to an identification unit granted by the Company for use of the Service based on Steam account information.

4. "Gold" refers to free in-game currency that can only be acquired through gameplay.

5. "Stars" refer to in-game currency that can be acquired in small amounts through gameplay or purchased with real money.
6. "Paid Items" refer to in-game items and features (e.g., experience boosters) purchased with paid currency such as Stars or provided for a fee.

Article 3 (Effectiveness and Changes to Terms and Conditions)

1. These Terms and Conditions shall take effect upon the user's completion of the consent process upon initial launch of the Service.

2. The Company may revise these Terms and Conditions, provided that such revisions do not violate applicable laws and regulations.

3. If the Company revises these Terms and Conditions, the Company will announce the effective date and the reason for the revision at least 7 days prior to the effective date (30 days prior in the case of significant or unfavorable changes) through an in-game notice or the Steam Community/Store page.

4. If the user continues to use the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms and Conditions, the user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms and Conditions.

Article 4 (Account and Information Management)

1. A Steam account is required to use the Service, and the user is responsible for managing their Steam account information.

2. The Company provides the Service using the account identifier and public profile information provided by Steam.
3. Users must not impersonate or use another person's account without permission.

Article 5 (Provision and Changes to Services)

1. The Company provides the following services to users:

1) "Arena: Run & Hit" game client and game server services
2) Game systems such as matching, ranking, and statistics
3) In-game store and in-app payment services
4) Other services additionally developed by the Company or provided through partnerships
2. The Company may change the contents of the Service according to operational or technical needs. Prior notice will be provided for any significant changes.
3. The Company may change in-game systems, statistics, item performance, etc. to improve service quality, expand or replace servers, fix bugs, and adjust balance.

Article 6 (Paid Services, In-App Payments, and Goods)

1. Payments for paid services and items within the Service are made through the payment system provided by the Steam platform. Steam's policies govern payment methods, refund policies, etc. 2. Gold can only be earned through gameplay and cannot be purchased directly.
3. Stars:
1) can be earned in small amounts as gameplay rewards,
2) can be purchased with real money through Steam in-app purchases.
4. Stars can be used to purchase consumable paid items, such as experience boosters. These items take effect immediately upon use or remain effective for a set period of time.
5. Stars and paid items can only be used within the game and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods under any circumstances.
6. If a user violates the Terms of Service or Operational Policy and receives account sanctions (suspension, permanent suspension, etc.), the Company is not obligated to provide any compensation or refund for any remaining Stars or paid items.

Article 7 (Cancellation and Refund)

1. Steam's refund policy takes precedence over the basic refund policy for payments made through the Steam platform. 2. However, in any of the following cases, subscription cancellation may be restricted to the extent permitted by applicable laws:

1) Items whose value has significantly decreased due to use or partial consumption (e.g., previously used experience boosters).

2) Consumable goods and items that are issued and applied immediately after purchase.
3. If a user is confirmed to have acquired goods through abnormal means (e.g., exploiting bugs, stealing payment methods, etc.), the Company may retrieve the goods and items or restrict the user's account. If necessary, the Company may cancel the payment and take legal action.

Article 8 (User Obligations)

1. Users must comply with applicable laws, these Terms and Conditions, operating policies, and notices.

2. Users must not engage in any of the following acts: 1) Theft or misuse of another's account information.
2) Obtaining unfair profits through bugs, abnormal systems, or third-party programs.
3) Harming other users, such as using profanity, abusive language, hate speech, or disseminating illegal information within the game.
4) Hacking or reverse engineering the game client, server, or network.
5) Infringing on the intellectual property rights of the Company or a third party.
3. If a user violates the above obligations, the Company may take necessary measures, including warnings, temporary suspensions, permanent suspensions, and retrieval of goods, in accordance with its operating policy.

Article 9 (Restrictions and Suspension of Service Use)

1. The Company may temporarily suspend service provision in the following cases: 1) Maintenance, inspection, replacement, or malfunction of service equipment.
2) Unavoidable circumstances such as power outages, communication failures, or server failures.
3) Force majeure, such as natural disasters, wars, or national emergencies.
2. If service is interrupted due to the reasons set forth in Paragraph 1, the Company will endeavor to provide advance notice. However, in urgent or unavoidable circumstances, notice may be provided after the fact.

Article 10 (Compensation for Damages)

1. Unless otherwise provided for in relevant laws and regulations, the Company shall not be liable for any damages suffered by users in connection with the free service, unless caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence.

2. If a user violates these Terms and Conditions and causes damage to the Company, the user shall be responsible for compensating the Company for such damages.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)

1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

2. In the event of a lawsuit arising from a dispute between the Company and a user, the court of first instance shall be the court of competent jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act, etc. Supplementary Provisions
1. These Terms and Conditions shall take effect on December 6, 2025.
