IMMERSIVE ENGLISH USER AGREEMENT
Effective Date: 18 December 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using the Immersive Languages, LLC (the "Company") products, Immersive English (the "Software"), you agree to be bound by the terms of this End User License Agreement ("EULA"), as well as the Steam Subscriber Agreement. In the event of any conflict between this EULA and the Steam Subscriber Agreement, the Steam Subscriber Agreement shall prevail.
2. License Grant & Scope
Immersive Languages, LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the Software solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to the terms and conditions of this EULA and the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
3. Restrictions on Use
You may not:
* Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software, except as expressly permitted by law.
* Distribute, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer the Software or any portion thereof to any third party.
* Use the Software to violate any law, regulation, or the rules of any third-party platform, including but not limited to game publishers’ or Steam’s terms of service.
* Use the Software’s process-pausing feature to cheat, exploit, or gain unfair advantage in any game or to interfere with the operation of any software in ways prohibited by any applicable terms or law.
* Use the recording feature to infringe on the rights of others, including copyright, privacy, or publicity rights.
This Software package includes certain third-party components licensed under open source licenses, such as the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). For such components, your rights and obligations are governed by the terms of their respective licenses, which are provided with the Software. Nothing in this EULA shall be interpreted to limit, restrict, or alter your rights under those open source licenses.
4. Software Features – Special Notices
4.1 Process Pausing
The Software allows you to pause game processes. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use does not violate any game publisher or platform policy. Immersive Languages, LLC is not responsible for any consequences, including crashes, data loss, account bans, resulting from use of this feature.
4.2 Video & Audio Recording
The Software allows you to record game and/or desktop audio and video. All recordings are stored locally on your computer. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the recording feature complies with all applicable laws and third-party policies.
5. Privacy
Immersive Languages, LLC values your privacy. By using the Software, you acknowledge and agree that:
Any words or text you look up using the Software’s word search feature will be sent to third-party websites for processing. Immersive Languages, LLC does not control, store, or process these queries.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
The Software and all related copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights are and shall remain the exclusive property of Immersive Languages, LLC and its licensors. This EULA does not grant you any rights other than those expressly stated.
7. No Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY FOR THE SOFTWARE. THE SOFTWARE AND ANY RELATED DOCUMENTATION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY PROPRIETARY RIGHTS. THE ENTIRE RISK ARISING OUT OF USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE REMAINS WITH YOU.
8. No Liability for Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEITHER THE COMPANY NOR ITS SUPPLIERS SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFIT, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS SOFTWARE, EVEN IF THE COMPANY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. BECAUSE SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. FURTHERMORE, THE COMPANY’S LIABILITY FOR DIRECT DAMAGES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LICENSE FEE, IF ANY, PAID BY YOU DIRECTLY TO THE COMPANY FOR USE OF THE PRODUCT OR ANY LICENSE FEE RECEIVED BY THE COMPANY FOR THE USE OF THE PRODUCT IF PURCHASED THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY.
9. User Obligations & Compliance
You are solely responsible for:
* Ensuring that your use of the Software complies with all applicable laws and third-party terms (including Steam, game publishers, and third-party websites).
* Keeping your Steam and system accounts secure and confidential.
* Notifying Immersive Languages, LLC promptly of any actual or suspected unauthorized use or security breach.
10. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this EULA will automatically terminate if you fail to comply with any term(s). Upon termination, you must uninstall and destroy all copies of the Software. Immersive Languages, LLC reserves the right to disable or revoke your license at any time for violations of this EULA.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to this EULA shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware, USA.
12. Updates to this EULA
Immersive Languages, LLC reserves the right to update or modify this EULA at any time. Material changes will be communicated via Steam or within the Software. Continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
13. Miscellaneous
If any provision of this EULA is found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and Immersive Languages, LLC regarding the Software, except as supplemented by the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
