End User License Agreement (EULA)

This EULA is a contract between you (“you”) and Mindoro Evolution (“we”). By installing, accessing, or using the software (“the Software”), you agree to this EULA.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on computers linked to your Steam account, solely under this EULA and Steam’s rules.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the Software to create, edit, and export images, sprites, tilesets, animations, and sprite sheets. You own your outputs/exports; any third-party rights in content you use remain unaffected.

3. Restrictions

You must not:

Resell, rent, sublicense, or distribute the Software;
Reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent technical measures except as expressly permitted by law;
Use the Software to infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or other rights of third parties.

4. User Content & Third-Party Rights

You are solely responsible for having all necessary rights to any images/references you import. We are not liable for content you provide.

5. Updates

We may provide updates, bug fixes, or feature changes; updates may install automatically. Features may change over time.

6. Data & Privacy

The Software collects no personal data. Licensing, purchases, and account management are handled exclusively through Steam. Any processing related to your Steam account is governed by Valve/Steam policies.

7. Intellectual Property

The Software is protected by copyright. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Mindoro Evolution. Notices for third-party components are provided in the “LICENSES.txt” file or within the Software.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software.

10. Termination

This EULA remains in effect until terminated. It terminates automatically upon material breach. Upon termination, you must cease use and delete all copies.

11. Refunds

Refunds are provided solely under applicable Steam policies.

12. Export Controls & Sanctions

You will not export or provide the Software to countries or persons subject to sanctions or export restrictions.

13. Governing Law

This EULA is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Mandatory consumer protection rights of your country of residence remain unaffected.
