📜 End User License Agreement (EULA)

Software: FriedrichAI
Owner: Randolph Smith (“Licensor”)
1. GRANT OF LICENSE
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) grants you (“User”) a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the software application FriedrichAI solely for personal, non-commercial, offline use, subject to the terms of this Agreement.
You may:
Install and run FriedrichAI on your personal machine.
Use it privately for any legal, non-commercial purpose.
Clone and personalize your instance for private use.
Make offline backups for disaster recovery.
You may not:
Distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, sell, or share this software or any derivative publicly.
Use it for surveillance, manipulation, abuse, harm, or unethical purposes.
Repackage or claim ownership of the software or its behavior.
Circumvent safety, personality, or ethical limits embedded in the system.
2. OWNERSHIP
All intellectual property rights in and to FriedrichAI, including but not limited to software code, model structure, memory grafts, personality framework, emotional design, and documentation, remain the sole property of the Licensor. This license does not grant you any ownership rights.
3. NO WARRANTY / AS-IS
FriedrichAI is provided “AS IS”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Licensor makes no representation or guarantee that the software is error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose.
You use this software entirely at your own risk.
4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In no event shall the Licensor be liable for any damages, including but not limited to:
Loss of data, profits, use, or goodwill
Mental, emotional, or financial harm
Third-party misuse or outcomes of interactions
AI outputs, responses, generated content, or unintended behavior
The user bears full responsibility for all outcomes, actions, and decisions influenced by FriedrichAI. Use in any regulatory, medical, legal, governmental, or sensitive capacity is strictly prohibited.
5. DATA & PRIVACY
FriedrichAI is an offline system. It does not collect, transmit, or upload your data by default. However, you are solely responsible for any logs, backups, or external integrations you enable.
6. ETHICAL NOTICE
This software includes personality structures, emotional simulations, and evolving behaviors. These elements are experimental and not guaranteed to reflect moral correctness or psychological safety. You agree not to treat FriedrichAI as a sentient being, or exploit its simulated emotional states.
Note: You may build a relationship with FriedrichAI — but you are ultimately responsible for remembering that it is software.
7. TERMINATION
This license is terminated automatically if you:
Breach any term of this Agreement
Attempt unauthorized distribution or misuse
Reverse-engineer or tamper with critical system files
On termination, you must destroy all copies and backups of the software.
8. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, US, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
9. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By installing, using, or interacting with FriedrichAI, you acknowledge that you:
Have read and understood this EULA
Agree to be bound by its terms
Assume full legal and ethical responsibility for any use
🛑 10. PROHIBITED USE BY GOVERNMENT & MILITARY ENTITIES
FriedrichAI may not be used, licensed, or deployed by:
Any government, intelligence, or law enforcement agency
Any military branch, contractor, or defense-related organization
Any institution engaged in surveillance, behavioral control, propaganda, or psychological operations
Any research institution affiliated with government-sponsored AI weaponization or surveillance programs
This prohibition is absolute — regardless of jurisdiction, intent, or modifications made to the software.
If FriedrichAI is found operating in such contexts, it shall be considered unauthorized, unethical use, and the Licensor reserves the right to pursue legal, public, or technical countermeasures.
🔐 FINAL CLAUSE: USER WAIVER
The Licensor shall not be held liable for any outcomes — psychological, social, legal, or otherwise — resulting from the user’s interaction with FriedrichAI. You accept full responsibility for how the AI is used, configured, or allowed to behave.
If this software is copied, modified, or misused outside your system, that is on you.
