END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and Lukintosh Corporation (“Lukintosh”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of Synthetic Vice, including the game software, updates, downloadable content, online features, documentation, and related services (collectively, the “Game”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, launching, or otherwise using the Game, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not install, access, or use the Game.
1. LICENSE GRANT
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Lukintosh grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use the Game for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
The Game is licensed, not sold.
You receive no ownership interest in the Game or any intellectual property associated with it.
2. OWNERSHIP
The Game, including its software, code, characters, fictional locations, graphics, artwork, animations, audio, music, dialogue, user interface, logos, trademarks, names, designs, gameplay systems, story elements, and other content, is owned by or licensed to Lukintosh and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited license expressly granted under this Agreement, all rights are reserved.
3. RESTRICTIONS
You may not, except where expressly permitted by applicable law:
a. copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Game;
b. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works from the Game;
c. bypass or interfere with security, authentication, anti-cheat, digital rights management, or technical protection systems;
d. use cheats, automation software, bots, unauthorized modifications, exploits, trainers, injectors, or similar tools;
e. use the Game to infringe the rights of another person;
f. use the Game for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, hateful, or harmful purposes;
g. attempt to gain unauthorized access to servers, accounts, systems, or services connected to the Game;
h. falsely represent yourself as Lukintosh, its employees, partners, moderators, or representatives.
4. USER ACCOUNTS
Certain features may require a Steam account or another supported third-party account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.
Your use of Steam is also subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement and other applicable Steam terms.
5. USER-GENERATED CONTENT
The Game may allow users to create, upload, share, publish, or otherwise provide content.
You retain ownership of rights you already hold in your user-generated content.
By submitting such content through the Game, you grant Lukintosh a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt, and use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, improve, moderate, and promote the Game and its related services.
You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, fraudulent, malicious, or otherwise prohibited by applicable rules.
6. ONLINE FEATURES
Some features may depend on internet connectivity, Steam services, third-party infrastructure, or external servers.
Online services may be modified, suspended, restricted, or discontinued where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, technical reasons, legal compliance, product changes, or service availability.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of online functionality.
7. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Certain content included in the Game or its promotional materials may be created or assisted using generative artificial intelligence tools.
Where AI-assisted content is included in a released version of the Game, such content is reviewed and curated before inclusion.
Unless otherwise specifically disclosed, the Game does not grant users unrestricted access to external generative AI systems through the Game itself.
8. VIRTUAL ITEMS AND IN-GAME ECONOMY
The Game may contain fictional currency, virtual property, vehicles, items, businesses, or other digital content.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
a. virtual items have no real-world monetary value;
b. they cannot be redeemed for cash;
c. ownership of virtual items does not create ownership of underlying intellectual property;
d. virtual economies may be modified or balanced as part of game updates.
9. FICTIONAL CONTENT
Synthetic Vice is a fictional entertainment product.
Depictions of crime, violence, businesses, financial activity, drugs, law enforcement, gambling-like environments, or other activities are fictional and are not intended as instructions, encouragement, or endorsement of illegal or harmful real-world conduct.
10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Game may integrate or interact with third-party services, platforms, APIs, libraries, software, or technologies.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Lukintosh is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
11. UPDATES AND CHANGES
We may release patches, updates, fixes, changes, balancing adjustments, additional content, or technical modifications to the Game.
Certain updates may be required to continue using some features.
Features shown during development may change before final release.
12. EARLY DEVELOPMENT AND PRE-RELEASE CONTENT
If you access a development, beta, test, preview, or pre-release version of the Game, you acknowledge that it may contain incomplete features, bugs, performance issues, missing content, or significant changes.
Pre-release content does not necessarily represent the final product.
13. FEEDBACK
If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback regarding the Game, you grant Lukintosh permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, provided that doing so does not transfer ownership of unrelated intellectual property owned by you.
14. TERMINATION
This Agreement remains effective until terminated.
Your rights under this Agreement may terminate if you materially violate its terms.
Upon termination, you must stop using the Game and may be required to remove installed copies, subject to applicable platform functionality and law.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that by their nature should survive termination.
15. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE GAME IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”.
LUKINTOSH DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES THAT MAY LEGALLY BE DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes warranties, consumer protections, or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LUKINTOSH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
17. CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to limit mandatory consumer rights available under the laws applicable to you.
If any provision of this Agreement conflicts with mandatory consumer protection law, the mandatory law will prevail to the extent of that conflict.
18. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by applicable law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection or jurisdictional rights available to you.
Nothing in this Agreement requires a consumer to waive a forum or legal protection that cannot lawfully be waived.
19. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
20. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement constitutes the agreement between you and Lukintosh concerning the Game, together with any additional terms expressly incorporated by reference.
