END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)

INTRODUCTION
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement" or "EULA") is a legally binding contract between you ("User") and Dawid Pawełek ("Developer", "We", or "Us") regarding the game SCP: ReEnter ("Game").

AGE REQUIREMENT AND PARENTAL CONSENT: You must be at least 13 years of age to play the Game. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction (e.g., 18), you must review this Agreement with your parent or legal guardian. By using the Game, you represent that you meet this age requirement and, if applicable, your parent or guardian has read and accepted this Agreement on your behalf, especially regarding the use of multiplayer features and in-game purchases.

By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Game, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Game.

HEALTH & SAFETY WARNING (PHOTOSENSITIVE SEIZURES)
A very small percentage of individuals may experience epileptic seizures when exposed to certain light patterns or flashing lights. The Game, being set in the SCP universe, may contain dark environments, sudden jumpscares, and flashing lights (e.g., blinking mechanics). If you, or anyone in your family, have an epileptic condition, consult your physician prior to playing.

1. LICENSE TO PLAY
Subject to your agreement and continuing compliance with this Agreement, Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. This includes the right to download and play the Game on your device.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND SCP LICENSE (CC BY-SA 3.0)
The Game is based on the "SCP Foundation" universe (http://www.scp-wiki.net/). Accordingly, the intellectual property of the Game is divided into two distinct categories:

A. SCP Foundation Content (CC BY-SA 3.0)
  • The lore, concepts, texts, and any narrative elements directly derived from the SCP Foundation wiki are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License (CC BY-SA 3.0).
  • Under this license, you have the right to share and adapt these specific narrative materials, provided you give appropriate credit and distribute your contributions under the same license.

B. Developer's Proprietary Content
  • All original 3D models (such as environments, corridors, props, original characters), textures, animations, sound effects, music, source code, and proprietary engine mechanics are the exclusive property of the Developer.
  • These original assets are NOT covered by the CC BY-SA 3.0 license and are strictly protected by international copyright laws. You may not extract, rip, reuse, or distribute these 3D models and proprietary assets without explicit written permission from the Developer.

3. THIRD-PARTY AND OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE
The Game may utilize third-party libraries, plugins, or open-source software. These components are provided under their respective licenses (e.g., MIT, Apache). You acknowledge that these third-party components are subject to their own licensing terms and disclaimers, which do not alter your obligations under this Agreement.

4. CODE OF CONDUCT AND MULTIPLAYER
The Game features a multiplayer mode and communication tools (text and voice chat). When playing with others, you agree to abide by the following rules:
  • You may not use abusive language, hate speech, threats, or harass other players.
  • You may not use cheats, exploits, or third-party software that modifies the Game to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the experience for others (hacking).
  • We reserve the right to temporarily suspend or permanently ban the User's account in the event of a violation of these rules or any inappropriate behavior, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. This includes the right to apply hardware-level bans (HWID bans) to prevent circumvention of the ban via new accounts.

5. SERVER AVAILABILITY AND MULTIPLAYER SERVICES
The Game includes online multiplayer features.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to these services. Servers may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, hardware failures, or network attacks.
  • We reserve the right to permanently shut down the multiplayer servers or discontinue online features at any time in the future, without any obligation to provide a refund for the Game or any virtual content.

6. UPDATES AND PATCHES
The Developer may provide patches, updates, or upgrades to the Game that must be installed for you to continue playing. The Developer may update the Game remotely without notifying you, and you hereby consent to the Developer applying such patches, updates, and upgrades. These updates may modify the Game's features, mechanics, balance, or system requirements. The Developer has no obligation to make available or maintain older versions of the Game.

7. USER-GENERATED CONTENT (MODDING)
The Game may support user-generated content, such as custom maps, skins, or mods ("UGC").
  • By creating or uploading UGC, you grant the Developer a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your UGC within the Game.
  • You agree not to create UGC that contains illegal material, malicious code (viruses/spyware), or infringes on third-party copyrights. We reserve the right to remove any UGC at our discretion.

8. FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS
We welcome your feedback, suggestions, and bug reports. By submitting any feedback or ideas to Us, you grant the Developer a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, distribute, and incorporate such feedback into the Game or other products without any obligation, compensation, or attribution to you.

9. VIDEO POLICY (STREAMING AND CONTENT CREATION)
We encourage our community to create video content! You are permitted to record, stream, and share gameplay videos on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. Furthermore, you are fully permitted to monetize these videos through platform-provided partner programs (e.g., ad revenue).

10. VIRTUAL CONTENT AND IN-GAME PURCHASES
The Game may offer the ability to purchase virtual items, battle passes, in-game currency, or additional content (microtransactions).
  • All virtual content remains the property of the Developer. The User does not own these goods, but only acquires a limited license to use them within the Game.
  • Virtual content has no real-world monetary value, cannot be cashed out, and is strictly non-refundable, non-exchangeable for cash, and non-transferable outside the Game environment.

11. DATA COLLECTION, DRM, ANTI-CHEAT, AND PRIVACY

To ensure the proper functioning of the Game, protect the integrity of multiplayer services, enforce this Agreement, prevent fraud and cheating, and improve our services, the Game collects and processes certain technical and account-related information:

  • Account and Hardware Data: In-game username, platform identifiers (e.g., Steam ID), IP address, hardware characteristics, operating system information, unique device identifiers, and other technical information reasonably necessary for authentication, account security, fraud prevention, and anti-cheat enforcement.

  • Server Logs and Moderation: Text chat records, authentication records, moderation actions, and server event logs may be monitored, stored, and analyzed to investigate rule violations, provide customer support, resolve disputes, and ensure community safety.

  • DRM and Anti-Cheat Services: The Game utilizes a proprietary Digital Rights Management (DRM) solution together with Epic Games' Easy Anti-Cheat ("EAC") and other security mechanisms. These systems may inspect and analyze the Game's memory, running processes, game files, operating system configuration, registry information, execution history of software reasonably associated with cheating, licensing data, and other technical information necessary to detect unauthorized modifications, cheating, piracy, account compromise, or attempts to evade security or enforcement mechanisms.

  • Persistent Security Identifiers: To enforce bans, prevent fraud, and detect repeated attempts to circumvent security measures, the Game may generate, store, validate, restore, and maintain persistent security identifiers on your device. Such identifiers may utilize files created by the Game, operating system configuration, registry entries, or other system storage mechanisms solely for security, anti-cheat enforcement, fraud prevention, and maintaining the integrity of multiplayer services.

  • Telemetry: We collect crash logs, diagnostic information, gameplay statistics, performance metrics, and anonymous usage statistics to continuously improve the performance, stability, balance, and security of the Game.

By installing or using the Game, you acknowledge that these security systems operate automatically while the Game is installed or running, and you consent to the collection and processing of such information for the purposes described in this Agreement and the applicable Privacy Policy. You further agree not to bypass, disable, modify, interfere with, or tamper with the DRM, anti-cheat software, or any security mechanisms employed by the Game.

12. TERMINATION
This Agreement is effective until terminated by you or by Us. The Agreement will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with its terms and conditions (which may also result in account deletion/ban). Upon termination, you must uninstall the Game and cease all use of it.

13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE GAME IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE ERROR-FREE, VIRUS-FREE, OR THAT ITS OPERATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME.

14. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal and accounting fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Game, your User-Generated Content, or your violation of this Agreement.

15. EXPORT CONTROL LAWS
You agree to comply with all applicable import, export, and re-export control laws and regulations, including those of the United States. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

16. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under this Agreement will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Racibórz, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

17. CLASS-ACTION WAIVER
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you and the Developer agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

18. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from this Agreement, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

19. CHANGES TO THE AGREEMENT
We reserve the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time, for example, in connection with the introduction of new features (e.g., a microtransaction system). Changes will become effective immediately upon being published in a Game update. Your continued use of the Game signifies your acceptance of the new terms.
