End User License Agreement (EULA) for Backrooms: Missing Persons
IMPORTANT – READ CAREFULLY:
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“You” or “Player”) and Damien Fuellbeck & Joerg Leusing GbR (“Licensor”, “We”, “Us”) for the video game Backrooms: Missing Persons (“Game”). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Game, You agree to be bound by this Agreement. If You do not agree, do not install or use the Game.
1. License Grant
We grant You a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment on compatible devices.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
Sell, rent, lease, license, distribute, or otherwise transfer the Game or any copies thereof.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game except as expressly permitted by law.
Circumvent or disable any copy protection, security, or anti-cheat measures.
Use the Game to infringe upon the rights of others.
Use cheats, automation software (bots), mods, or unauthorized third-party software that interferes with the Game’s intended operation.
3. Ownership
The Game is licensed, not sold. All title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Game, including all content, graphics, music, and code, are owned by Damien Fuellbeck & Joerg Leusing GbR or its licensors.
This Game is developed using Unreal Engine, © Epic Games, Inc. Unreal Engine and the Unreal Engine logo are trademarks or registered trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States and elsewhere.
4. Online Services
If the Game offers online features, You must have a valid account, an Internet connection, and may be required to accept additional terms. We may suspend or terminate Your access if You violate this Agreement.
5. User-Generated Content
If the Game allows You to create, upload, or share content, You grant Us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute such content. You are solely responsible for the legality and safety of anything You create.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE GAME IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME.
8. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/State], without regard to conflict of law provisions.
9. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically without notice if You fail to comply with this Agreement. Upon termination, You must uninstall and destroy all copies of the Game.
