End User License Agreement (EULA) for Desktop Companion Copyright © 2025 Efess. All rights reserved.
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a legal entity) and Efess, the developer of Desktop Companion ("Software"). By installing or using this Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
1. License Grant Efess grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for personal, non-commercial use on a compatible Windows device.
2. Ownership You acknowledge that the Software is owned by Efess and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, or modify the Software.
3. User Content This Software allows you to add your own 2D and 3D models. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use any content you upload. Efess assumes no liability for user-generated content.
4. Workshop / User-Generated Content Disclaimer By submitting content to the Steam Workshop, you agree that:
a. Responsibility for Content You are solely responsible for any content you upload, share, or distribute through the Workshop. This includes but is not limited to models, images, text, audio, and other materials.
b. Prohibited Content You may not upload or share content that is illegal, offensive, infringes on intellectual property rights, or otherwise violates Steam’s Subscriber Agreement or Online Conduct rules.
c. No Developer Liability The developer of this Software does not endorse, monitor, or assume responsibility for any user-generated content submitted to the Workshop. All liability for such content rests entirely with the user who submitted it.
d. Moderation Rights The developer reserves the right, but not the obligation, to remove or request the removal of Workshop content that violates these terms or Steam’s rules.
By submitting content, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
5. Limitation of Liability This Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Efess shall not be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Software.
6. Governing Law This Agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside.
