HARWELL - END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement" or "EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "You") and Caleb Houlding ("Developer," "We," or "Us") regarding your use of the video game "Harwell" ("Game").

By installing, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Game.

1. LICENSE GRANT

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Game solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes in accordance with this Agreement.

2. RESTRICTIONS

You may NOT:

Copy, reproduce, or distribute the Game except as expressly permitted
Modify, adapt, alter, translate, or create derivative works of the Game
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code
Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer the Game to others
Use the Game for any commercial purposes
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Use cheats, automation software, bots, hacks, mods, or unauthorized third-party software
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Game's systems or networks

3. OWNERSHIP

The Game and all related intellectual property rights are owned by the Developer. This Agreement grants you only a limited license to use the Game and does not transfer any ownership rights.

4. UPDATES AND PATCHES

We may provide updates, patches, or modifications to the Game. These updates are subject to this Agreement unless accompanied by separate license terms.

5. TERMINATION

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically if you breach any terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Game and delete all copies.

6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE GAME.

8. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of this Agreement or misuse of the Game.

9. PRIVACY

We do not directly collect any personal information from players. All data collection is handled by Steam according to Steam's Privacy Policy. By playing the Game through Steam, you are subject to Steam's data collection and privacy practices.

10. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS

The Game is built using the Godot Engine and incorporates various third-party assets and libraries. These components are subject to their respective license terms:

Factory Asset Basic Pack by Blood Seller
Isometric Tiles City Buildings by Isotile Universe

DOS 88 Music Library by DOS88

Use of these third-party components is governed by their respective licenses, which are incorporated herein by reference. Full attribution and license information for these assets can be found in the Game's credits.

11. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding the Game and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.

14. CHANGES TO THIS AGREEMENT

We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Game constitutes acceptance of any changes.
