GRIEFS Texture Ripper - END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you, the end-user (either an individual or a single entity), and Gabriel Hencz, operating as GRIEFS ("Licensor" or "GRIEFS") for the GRIEFS Texture Ripper software product (the "Software"), including any associated media, printed materials, and "online" or electronic documentation.
By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not install, copy, or use the Software.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE
Subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions of this EULA, GRIEFS grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to:
a. Install and use the Software on any computer or device owned or controlled by you, provided that such use is solely through your Steam account that lawfully acquired the license for the Software. The Software may only be run by the Steam account that holds the license. Each individual user, including those within a team or organization, must possess a separate, lawfully acquired license for the Software. You are expressly permitted to use the outputs generated by the Software (e.g., extracted textures) for commercial projects and redistribution within your own products, provided such use complies with all applicable laws and third-party rights.
2. RESTRICTIONS
You may NOT, and you agree not to permit others to:
a. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software.
b. Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software.
c. Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, rent, lease, lend, distribute, license, or sublicense the Software, in whole or in part, except as expressly permitted by this EULA. This specifically prohibits distributing the Software itself, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes, without explicit written consent from GRIEFS.
* Review: This is also very clear. Clause (c) effectively prohibits any unauthorized distribution of the Software itself. Good job adding the clarifying sentence.
d. Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the Software.
e. Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates this EULA.
3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Software is licensed, not sold. All right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including without limitation all copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights, are and shall remain the exclusive property of GRIEFS. This EULA grants you no right, title, or interest in any intellectual property owned by GRIEFS or its licensors.
4. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
The Software may include or be distributed with third-party components that are subject to separate open-source or other licenses (e.g., GPL, LGPL, Apache, BSD3). Information regarding these components and their respective licenses is provided within the Software itself in an "About" section and a separate "Licenses" files bundled with the Software. Your use of those third-party components is governed by their respective licenses, and this EULA does not limit your rights under those licenses.
5. NO WARRANTY
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. GRIEFS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOU ASSUME ALL RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & USER RESPONSIBILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GRIEFS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SOFTWARE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SOFTWARE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SOFTWARE; AND (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE, AND EVEN IF A REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE AND ITS OUTPUTS. GRIEFS HAS NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY CONTENT, DATA, OR IMAGES THAT YOU PROCESS, EXTRACT, OR CREATE USING THE SOFTWARE, OR FOR ANY USE OR REDISTRIBUTION OF SUCH OUTPUTS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE AND ITS OUTPUTS COMPLIES WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS, LICENSES, COPYRIGHTS, AND THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS.
7. TERMINATION
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this EULA will terminate automatically and without notice from GRIEFS if you fail to comply with any of its terms and conditions. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies of the Software and all of its component parts.
8. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the Czech Republic to resolve any legal matter arising from the EULA.
9. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and GRIEFS concerning the Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings, whether oral or written.
