END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA) FOR STEAM PLAYTEST
IMPORTANT – READ CAREFULLY: This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“User” or “You”) and [Your Studio Name] (“Developer”) regarding your participation in the playtest of the video game titled “[Game Name]” (“Game”) through the Steam platform.
By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Game, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, do not install or use the Game.
1. License Grant
Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Game solely for the purpose of evaluating and testing the Game during the Steam Playtest period.
2. Ownership
All title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Game are owned by the Developer. This Agreement does not grant you any ownership rights in the Game.
3. Restrictions
You agree not to:
Distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise make the Game available to any third party.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game.
Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Game.
Use the Game for commercial purposes.
Share screenshots, videos, or other media of the Game unless explicitly permitted by the Developer.
4. Feedback
You may voluntarily provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Game (“Feedback”). By providing Feedback, you grant Developer the unrestricted right to use it for any purpose without compensation or credit to you.
5. No Warranty
THE GAME IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
6. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME.
7. Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Game and destroy all copies in your possession.
8. Confidentiality
You acknowledge that the Game may contain confidential or proprietary information. You agree not to disclose any information about the Game to third parties without prior written permission from the Developer.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/State], without regard to conflict of laws principles.
By participating in the Steam Playtest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms of this EULA.
