END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY. BY INSTALLING, COPYING, OR USING THE GAME "Harper And Lyre", YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (“EULA”). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE GAME.
1. LICENSE GRANT
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and play one copy of the Game on a device you own or control, for personal entertainment use.
You may not:
A. Sell, rent, or sub license the Game.
B. Reverse engineer or modify any part of the Game.
C. Use the Game to harass, abuse, or harm others.
D. Use cheats, bots, hacks, or unauthorized third-party tools for online play.
2. OWNERSHIP
The Game and all content included within it (art, music, animation, code, characters, story, etc.) are the sole property of Stormside Studio LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You only have the rights to a license to use it, this is based off steams game ownership policy's.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
A. Copy, distribute, sell, or sublicense the Game.
B. Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the Game.
C. Use the Game for any unlawful, defamatory, or harmful activity.
D. Circumvent or disable security features or usage limits.
E. Anything from subsection 1 A,B,C,D.
4. USER-GENERATED CONTENT (IF APPLICABLE)
If the Game includes tools for creating custom levels, mods, or other content, you retain ownership of your creations, but grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use and share them for promotional purposes.
You must not create or share content that is offensive, infringing, or unlawful.
We reserve the right to revoke or restrict permission to stream, share, or otherwise distribute content containing the Game if you:
A. Misrepresent the Game or developer
B. Promote illegal or hateful conduct
C. Violate our EULA or these Terms
5. UPDATES AND PATCHES
We may release updates, patches, modify, discontinue, balance adjustments, new features, or do bug fixes to improve the Game. These updates will be installed automatically or require manual installation. Continued use of the Game constitutes acceptance of such updates.
6. Online Features and User Accounts (if applicable)
Some features of the Game may require an online connection or account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
We may suspend or terminate access to online features for violations of these Terms or our policies.
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Game, including loss of data, lost profits, or interruption of service.
7. TERMINATION
Upon termination, you must delete all copies of the game. We may terminate, revoke, or suspend your license to use the game at any given time for any amount of violation of the terms of service or EULA. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Game.
8. NO WARRANTY
The Game is provided “AS IS,” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, licensor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with this agreement or your use of the game.
10. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United States of America. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia (or your country, if non-U.S.), without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. If we make any changes, we will notify users via our website, the game launcher, or in-game notice. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes your acceptance of these changes.
12. Streaming, Monetization & Royalties
We encourage the creation and sharing of content featuring HarperAndLyre, including Let's Plays, streams, reviews, and gameplay highlights, under the following terms:
By streaming content that features the Game on any platform in any way, you agree that you will not use the Game for any unlawful, defamatory, or harmful activity.
The Developer reserves the right to revoke streaming or monetization permissions for content that is misleading, harmful, defamatory, or violates applicable laws.
13. User-Generated Levels & Builder Tools
The Game may include features that allow users to create, upload, share, or distribute custom levels, maps, or other content (“User-Generated Content” or “UGC”).
By creating or uploading any User-Generated Content in or for the Game, you agree to the following:
Ownership: You retain ownership of your original content, but by submitting it through the Game, steam, or other platforms you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, modify, display, distribute, and sublicense it in connection with the Game and our promotional efforts.
Prohibited Content
You may not create or share content that:
A. Infringes on intellectual property or other rights of others.
B. Contains hate speech, pornography, excessive violence, or illegal material.
C. Promotes scams, malware, or unauthorized advertising.
Moderation: We reserve the right to review, remove, or refuse to host any user-created content for any reason, with or without notice.
No Commercial Use: You may not sell or monetize User-Generated Content made without prior written consent. This includes selling levels, charging access, or bundling them in paid products.
Reporting & Takedown: If you believe a level or UGC infringes on your rights or others, please contact us at Support@harperandlyre.com.
You are solely responsible for the content you create, share, and download using the Level Builder or related tools.

By installing or using the Game—including streaming it—you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this agreement.
Remember that this is a demo of the game, it will get updated for testing, however this is not the full release of the game. Understanding all of these rules with continued playing will be considered you accepting this agreement. If at any time you no longer accept the EULA then uninstall the game, do not play it anymore, and remove the game.
