PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU
INSTALL OR USE THE GAME. BY INSTALLING OR USING THE GAME,
YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS.

1. PARTIES TO THE AGREEMENT

This agreement is entered into between:

and the end user (hereinafter “you” or “user”).

2. LICENSE

The Developer grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable,
revocable right to install and use the game “Shadow of Backrooms” exclusively for
private, non-commercial purposes.

3. RESTRICTIONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are expressly NOT permitted to:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute the game
- Sell, lend, or rent the game
- Decompile, disassemble,
or otherwise reverse engineer the source code or assets
- Modify the game or parts thereof and publish them as your own work
- Use the game for illegal purposes

4. OWNERSHIP / INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The game and all content contained therein (graphics, audio, code, text,
concepts) are the property of the developer or are used under applicable
licenses from third-party providers (see THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.txt).

5. MULTIPLAYER / ONLINE FEATURES

Shadow of Backrooms includes multiplayer features via Steam. Use of
these features is additionally subject to the Terms of Service of Steam
(Valve Corporation). The developer assumes no responsibility for the
behavior of other players online.

6. DISCLAIMER

The game is provided “as is,” without any express or
implied warranties. The developer assumes no liability for:
- Data loss or damage to your system
- Interruptions in gameplay
- Errors or bugs in the game

7. DISCLAIMER FOR UNREAL ENGINE (EPIC GAMES)

This game was developed using the Unreal Engine, a product of
Epic Games, Inc. (“Epic”). Epic Games is not a party to this agreement
and is not liable to you in any way for this game.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer
hereby expressly disclaims all representations, warranties, conditions, and
liabilities of any kind in connection with the Unreal Engine,
including, but not limited to:
- Express or implied warranties regarding the
Unreal Engine or its components
- Warranties of fitness for a particular purpose,
merchantability, or non-infringement of third-party rights
- Liability for errors, interruptions, or damages arising from the
Unreal Engine or related technologies
- Any terms or liabilities that may arise from the developer’s
use of the Unreal Engine
Epic Games, Inc. is a third-party beneficiary of this EULA and may
terms directly against the User to the extent they relate to the
Unreal Engine.

8. UPDATES AND CHANGES

The developer reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue the game at any time.
This EULA may also be updated.
The current version is always available in the game or on the Steam page.

9. TERMINATION

This agreement remains in effect until terminated. It terminates automatically if you
violate any of the terms. Upon termination, you must delete all copies
of the game.

10. GOVERNING LAW

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply. The place of jurisdiction is
Konstanz, Germany.
