This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Foreign Games (the "Team," "we," "us," or "our") governing your installation and use of Foreign Rim (the "Game"). By installing, accessing, or using the Game, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree to this EULA, you must immediately uninstall and cease all use of the Game.
1. About Foreign Games
Foreign Games is the unofficial designation of the development team responsible for creating and maintaining Foreign Rim. The Game is developed and operated by a group of independent enthusiasts as a volunteer project inspired by classic strategy gaming.
2. Grant of License
Subject to your compliance with this EULA, Foreign Games grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Game solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes on devices you own or control.
This license does not include the right to:
- Copy, reproduce, or duplicate the Game or any Game Content beyond what is necessary for personal use;
- Distribute, sell, rent, lease, lend, or otherwise transfer the Game or your license rights to any third party;
- Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the Game;
- Use the Game for any commercial purpose or in any way that generates revenue without our prior written consent.
3. Legal Responsibility and Compliance
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Game complies with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, regulations, and ordinances. You acknowledge that gaming services may be subject to legal restrictions in certain jurisdictions, and it is your responsibility to determine whether your use of the Game is lawful in your location.
You represent and warrant that you will not use the Game in any manner that violates any applicable law or regulation, including but not limited to laws governing intellectual property, data protection, consumer protection, export control, and obscenity.
4. Account Ownership and Data Rights
All accounts, game progress, statistics, ratings, achievements, user profiles, and other data associated with your use of the Game (collectively, "Account Data") are and shall remain the sole property of Foreign Games. The license granted under this EULA does not convey any ownership rights or proprietary interest in Account Data.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any account or access to Account Data at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, including but not limited to violations of this EULA or applicable law.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Foreign Rim, including all software, code, graphics, sound, text, user interfaces, visual interfaces, trademarks, logos, artwork, music, and all other content and materials (collectively, "Game Content"), is owned by Foreign Games and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
We reserve all rights to our intellectual property not expressly granted in this EULA. Any unauthorized use of Game Content may violate copyright laws, trademark laws, and other applicable laws and regulations. Nothing in this EULA transfers any ownership of Game Content to you.
6. User Generated and Custom Content
The Game may permit you to create, upload, or share custom content, including but not limited to custom scenarios, scripts, maps, configurations, and other user-generated materials ("User Content"). By creating or uploading User Content, you grant Foreign Games a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, modify, and create derivative works from your User Content in connection with the Game and our business operations.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit User Content and that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights. You further warrant that your User Content does not contain any illegal, harmful, offensive, or otherwise objectionable material.
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, review, edit, or remove any User Content at our sole discretion, for any reason or no reason, including User Content that we determine violates this EULA or applicable law.
Any copyright or licensing statements included with custom content have no legal effect and will be disregarded.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Illegal Conduct: Using the Game to engage in, facilitate, or promote any illegal activity, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, terrorist activity, or distribution of illegal materials.
- Unauthorized Commercial Exploitation: Using the Game for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent, including but not limited to selling accounts, virtual items, or game currency, or operating commercial gaming services using our Game.
- Supporting or Encouraging Violations: Assisting, encouraging, or enabling any other person to violate this EULA or engage in prohibited conduct. This includes sharing methods, tools, or instructions for circumventing game restrictions or security measures.
- Technical Exploits: Using, developing, distributing, or publicly informing others of any bugs, exploits, cheats, hacks, bots, mods, or third-party software designed to gain an unauthorized advantage, disrupt the Game, or interfere with other users' experience.
- Intellectual Property Violations: Using, reproducing, distributing, or creating derivative works of any Game Content or third-party content without proper authorization. This includes unauthorized use of trademarks, copyrighted materials, or proprietary information.
- Reverse Engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code, algorithms, or structure of the Game or any Game Content.
- Security Breaches: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Game, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Game through hacking, password mining, or any other means.
- Interference: Interfering with or disrupting the Game, servers, or networks connected to the Game, or violating any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations of networks connected to the Game.
- Harassment and Abuse: Harassing, threatening, stalking, or abusing other users, or engaging in any conduct that creates a hostile environment for other players.
8. Respect Intellectual Property
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. If you believe that any content available through the Game infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at foreignrim@gmail.com with detailed information about the alleged infringement.
Similarly, you must respect the intellectual property rights of Foreign Games, other users, and third parties. Any unauthorized use of protected materials may result in license termination, and may subject you to civil and criminal liability.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Game is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Game, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Modifications to This EULA
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update this EULA at any time, with or without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Game or our website. Your continued use of the Game after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new EULA. It is your responsibility to review this EULA periodically for changes.
If you do not agree to any modification of this EULA, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue use of the Game. We may, at our sole discretion, provide notice of significant changes through in-game notifications, email, or other reasonable means.
11. Service Availability
We strive to provide continuous and uninterrupted access to the Game, but we do not guarantee that the Game will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. The Game is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Game at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to maintenance, upgrades, security concerns, or technical difficulties.
We shall not be liable for any interruption of service, delays, failures, errors, or omissions, or for any loss or damage arising from such interruptions or unavailability. You acknowledge that access to the Game may be limited or unavailable due to factors beyond our control, including internet connectivity issues, server outages, or force majeure events.
12. Updates, Modifications, and Sunset
The Game is under continuous development, and we may release updates, patches, modifications, or new versions from time to time. These updates may add, modify, or remove features, content, or functionality. We reserve the right to make any changes to the Game that we deem necessary or appropriate for technical, operational, legal, or other reasons.
We reserve the right to discontinue operation of the Game (a "Sunset Event") at any time, with or without notice. In the event of a Sunset Event, this EULA and all licenses granted hereunder will immediately terminate, and you must uninstall and cease all use of the Game.
You acknowledge and agree that we have no obligation to provide ongoing support, maintenance, or updates for the Game, and that the availability of the Game is subject to change without notice or liability.
13. Your Responsibilities
As a condition of your license to use the Game, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account or communicating with us.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials and immediately notify us of any unauthorized access or security breach.
- Accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FOREIGN GAMES AND ITS TEAM MEMBERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
THE GAME IS PROVIDED AS A VOLUNTEER, NON-COMMERCIAL PROJECT. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU USE THE GAME AT YOUR OWN RISK.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
16. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your license and access to the Game at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, including but not limited to violation of this EULA. Upon termination, your license to use the Game will immediately cease, and you must uninstall and destroy all copies of the Game in your possession.
You may terminate this EULA at any time by uninstalling and ceasing all use of the Game.
Provisions of this EULA that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification obligations, and limitations of liability.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to this EULA or the Game shall be resolved through good faith negotiation between the parties.
18. General Provisions
This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and Foreign Games regarding the license to use the Game and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings. If any provision of this EULA is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of this EULA shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. No waiver of any provision of this EULA shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such provision or any other provision.
