END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“You” or “User”) and BLUE SCARAB ENTERTAINMENT AB (“Developer,” “We,” or “Us”) for the use of the video game titled “EQUINOX: HOMECOMING” (“Game”), distributed via Steam.
By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Game, You agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If You do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, do not install or use the Game.
1. Grant of License
We grant You a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the Game solely for your personal, non-commercial use on a device that you own or control, in accordance with this Agreement and the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
2. Online Multiplayer & Player Conduct
The Game includes an online multiplayer component that allows interaction with other users. By participating in multiplayer features, You agree to conduct yourself in a respectful and lawful manner.
Misconduct, including but not limited to harassment, cheating, griefing, hate speech, or any behavior deemed abusive or disruptive to the community or game balance, may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your access to online features, including a full game ban.
Decisions regarding player conduct and bans are at our sole discretion and are final. No refunds will be issued for accounts banned due to misconduct.
3. Ownership
You acknowledge that all intellectual property rights in the Game, including but not limited to all code, graphics, audio, and content, are owned by Us or our licensors. This Agreement does not grant you any ownership interest in the Game.
4. Restrictions
You may not:
Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game;
Distribute, sublicense, or otherwise make the Game available to third parties;
Use cheats, automation software (bots), or unauthorized third-party software.
5. User-Generated Content
The Game may allow You to create, upload, or share content such as text, images, audio, or gameplay modifications (“User-Generated Content” or “UGC”). By submitting UGC, You grant Us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, modify, and create derivative works from your UGC in connection with the Game and our marketing efforts.
You represent and warrant that your UGC does not infringe upon the rights of any third party and complies with this Agreement and applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove or restrict any UGC at our sole discretion.
6. Patches, Updates and Changes
You acknowledge and accept that from time to time, we may patch or update the Game for any purpose, including but not limited to resolving software bugs or other issues, rebalancing the Game or adding and/or removing features in the Game.
7. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any term of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Game and destroy all copies in your possession.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Game is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Game.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Kingdom of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
By clicking “I Agree” or installing the Game, You acknowledge that You have read this Agreement, understand it, and agree to be bound by its terms.
