End-User License Agreement (EULA) for Basis Labs

1. License

This software is licensed under the MIT License. The terms of the MIT License govern the use, modification, and distribution of the software, except as expressly supplemented by this agreement.

2. Naming and Branding

The name "Basis" or "Basis Framework" refers specifically to the original framework and associated technology provided by the primary author.

The name "Basis Labs" refers specifically to the official showcase, testing ground, and companion application for the Basis Framework distributed by the primary author.

Derivative works or forks of the software should not use the names "Basis", "Basis Framework", or "Basis Labs", or any names likely to cause confusion with the original project.

This is a request intended to maintain a clear distinction between the official Basis project and any derivative works. It is encouraged that forks and derivative projects adopt unique and non-overlapping names.

The names "Basis", "Basis Framework", and "Basis Labs" may be protected as trademarks of the primary author. Unauthorized use of these names in ways that imply endorsement, association, or affiliation with the original project may violate applicable trademark laws.

3. Use of Third-Party Components

The software integrates with or depends upon Unity Technologies' products.

Unity License Notice: Use of Unity is subject to the terms and conditions of Unity Technologies' applicable licensing agreements. This EULA does not grant any rights, licenses, or permissions for Unity or its components. You must ensure compliance with Unity Technologies' licensing terms when using this software.

4. Limitation of Liability

The software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. As stated in the MIT License, the author is not liable for any damages or claims arising from the use, modification, or distribution of the software.

5. Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
