By clicking I AGREE, you confirm you have read and accept the terms below. If you do not agree, please exit the experience.
1. User-Created Content
VRRealms is a social platform where maps, avatars, and other content are created and uploaded by other users through Steam Workshop. We do not create, control, pre-screen, or endorse user content, and any views or material it contains belong to its creators — not to us.
2. Mature Content
Worlds and avatars may contain mature, offensive, or otherwise objectionable content that we do not actively moderate in real time. You enter community spaces at your own discretion. To control your own experience, use the built-in Hide and Mute tools to remove any player's avatar or voice locally at any time.
3. Reporting
Use the in-game Report function (bound to your keyboard) to report a player or content. Reports automatically include the reported user's Steam ID or IP address so we can investigate and take action. Submitting knowingly false reports may itself result in action against your account.
4. Zero-Tolerance Conduct
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors is strictly forbidden and results in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, and targeted abuse are not tolerated. Use common sense and treat others with respect.
5. Health & Safety
Virtual reality can cause motion sickness, dizziness, disorientation, or eye strain, and movement in VR carries a risk of physical injury. Play in a clear, safe space, take regular breaks, and stop if you feel unwell. You are solely responsible for your own health and safety, and we are not liable for any injury, illness, or discomfort arising from use of VRRealms.
6. Photosensitive Content & Seizures
A small number of people can experience seizures, blackouts, or other symptoms when exposed to flashing lights, strobe effects, or rapidly changing patterns, including in content created by other users. If you have a history of epilepsy or photosensitivity, consult a doctor before playing. Stop immediately and seek medical advice if you experience dizziness, altered vision, twitching, disorientation, or convulsions. You play at your own risk, and we are not liable for any seizure, injury, illness, or other harm arising from flashing or strobing content anywhere in VRRealms, including content we did not create.
Creators must warn players about photosensitive content. If your map, avatar, or other content contains strobing, rapid flashing, or intense flickering effects, you must say so in its Steam Workshop title or description, and where possible warn players inside the world itself before they are exposed to it. Content that does not carry this warning may be removed without notice, and repeated failures to label photosensitive content may result in your content being taken down permanently and your access to VRRealms being suspended or banned.
7. Hardware & Damages
We are not responsible for any damage to your headset, computer, peripherals, network, software, or data resulting from use of this application or any user content within it.
8. Security & Malware
User content is downloaded from third parties and could contain malicious or harmful material. We make reasonable efforts to filter and block malware, but we cannot and do not guarantee 100% security. You download maps, avatars, and other content and join sessions at your own risk.
9. Hacking, Cheating & Exploits
Hacking, cheating, exploiting, or tampering with the game, servers, or other users is prohibited and may result in a ban. We are not responsible for any damages, losses, or disruptions caused by such activity by you or others.
10. Eligibility & Age
You must have a valid Steam account and meet the minimum age required by Steam and by the laws of your country to use VRRealms. If you do not, you may not use this application. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising anyone in their care who uses it.
11. Video, Music & Streamed Media
VRRealms includes screens and players that can display video, audio, and other media loaded from links chosen by users. We do not host, select, review, or endorse that media, and we have no control over what any link plays — in the hub, in community worlds, in private homes, or anywhere else in the application. Responsibility for media rests entirely with the person who chose to play it. You must not display or share material you do not have the right to use, including pirated films, television, music, or live broadcasts, or anything illegal or in breach of the conduct rules above. We are not responsible or liable for any media displayed through the application, and we may disable, remove, or block any link, screen, or media feature at any time.
12. Voice Chat & Recording
Voice chat is live and is not monitored in real time. Anything you say may be heard by other players sharing that space, and other players may record or stream what they see and hear, including your voice and avatar. Do not share personal or sensitive information over voice or text chat. Use the Mute and Hide tools to control your own experience.
13. Player-Hosted Sessions
Many sessions are hosted by other players on their own machines rather than by us. We do not operate, monitor, or control those sessions, and we are not responsible for what happens in them. Connecting to another player's session may expose your IP address to the host and to other participants, as is normal for online multiplayer. Join at your own discretion.
14. Data & Third-Party Services
To operate the service we process information such as your Steam ID, display name, IP address, session and gameplay logs, and crash reports, used for matchmaking, moderation, safety, and diagnosing problems. VRRealms also relies on third-party services including Steam and Epic Online Services, whose own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. We do not sell your personal information.
15. Content You Upload
You keep ownership of maps, avatars, and other content you create, and you are responsible for holding the rights to everything you include in it. By publishing content for use in VRRealms you grant us permission to host, display, and distribute it within the application. Uploads are also subject to Steam Workshop's own terms. We may remove content that breaks these terms or that a rights holder asks us to remove.
16. Availability & Changes to the Service
VRRealms is provided on an as-available basis. Servers, hubs, sessions, and features may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued at any time, and user content may become unavailable without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and we are not liable for lost time, progress, content, or data.
17. Enforcement
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or permanently terminate access to VRRealms at our discretion, including for breaches of this Agreement.
18. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VRRealms is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the application, its content, or its community features. Nothing in this Agreement removes any right you have that cannot legally be excluded.
19. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated over time. Continued use of VRRealms after changes means you accept the updated terms. Where this Agreement is translated, the English version is the authoritative one.
