ASKA DEMO VERSION - End User Licence Agreement

Heill, Vikings! We are Thunderful Publishing AB, based in Kvarnbergsgatan 2 411 05 Gothenburg, Sweden (“We”, “Thunderful”). Thank you for taking part in the ASKA (the “Game”) demo on Steam.
Before you lay claim to unspoiled lands and build your tribe, there are a few rules you should be aware of (the “EULA”):

(1) The Game is currently in its demo version so it will not be in a finished state – we’re doing demos to test the Game’s features, capabilities and performance. So, don’t be surprised if the Game contains bugs, or might contain features that we remove later on. Importantly, the game will be reset after each demo period, so your progress will not be saved! The Game is provided “as is” and we make no specific promises or representations in relation to it.

(2) Please don’t do anything that could damage the Game or be harmful to other players or rightsholders – e.g. no hacking, reverse engineering, infringing third party rights, cheating or harmful, illegal or offensive conduct. If you break the rules in this EULA (or we have reasonable grounds to suspect you have broken the rules), then we may suspend or cancel your access to the Game without prior warning.

(3) Our good friends at Sand Sailor Studio own all rights in the Game. We warmly welcome any feedback you’d like to share on your experience with the Game. If you do, we can freely use (or not use) any such feedback without any obligation or liability to you (financial or otherwise).

(4) We may make changes to this EULA – if we do, we will make reasonable efforts to update you about these changes. Please note, this EULA only applies to the demo for the Game.

(5) We only distribute the Game for private use. If you use the Game for any commercial, business or re-sale purposes, we will have no liability to you for any loss of profits or business. We are only responsible for loss or damage that is foreseeable where we fail to abide by this EULA.

(6) You and we agree that your use of the Game and this EULA (and any issues arising out of them) will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sweden, and any dispute regarding it will be under the jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden. This does not exclude any mandatorily applicable rules or remedies which would be available to you in a legal claim brought under the laws of your country of residence. We and you both agree to make reasonable and good faith efforts to resolve any dispute between us informally. Normally, we would suggest that this dispute resolution period lasts 30 days unless exceptional circumstances exist. You and we have the legal right to commence legal claims against each other if we consider it necessary.

(7) If you have any questions, concerns or feedback on the Game, please email us on: info@thunderfulgroup.com. Gọ̄der hēle!

ASKA DEMO VERSION – Privacy Information

Like a Viking jarl protecting their clan, Thunderful Publishing AB is committed to keeping your data safe and secure. Below we set out the purposes for which we will process your data.

The only information that we collect for the Game demo relates to your in-game play, such as player progress, preferred weapons, and gameplay time. We use this information on an aggregated basis only to ensure that the game is operating correctly and to understand how the Game is being played and where it can be improved – e.g., if we notice that many players are leaving the game at a certain point we will want to understand why that is so we can fix it (which seems pretty sensible for a demo, right?). We process this data on the basis that it is necessary to fulfil the contract we have with you and on the basis of our legitimate interests. We will only retain this data for so long as is necessary.

We are assisted by certain third parties. These third parties will be contractually required to process your data only on our behalf. If any third parties are based outside of the EEA, we will put in place adequate safeguards to keep your data secure.

Under data protection laws you have certain rights. You can learn more about these rights and how to exercise them in the ‘your rights’ and ‘how to contact us’ sections at the following link: https://thunderfulgames.com/privacy-policy.
