End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement" or "EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Echo in a Void Games LLC ("we," "our," or "us") for the use of the video game Cats vs. Aliens ("the Game") available on Steam. By installing, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not install, access, or play the Game.
1. Grant of License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and play the Game on your personal device(s) through the Steam platform, subject to the terms of this Agreement. This license is granted solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment use.
2. License Restrictions
You agree not to:
• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Game, unless permitted by applicable law.
• Redistribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer any rights to the Game without our express written permission.
• Create derivative works based on the Game or use the Game in any way that violates any applicable laws.
• Use cheats, automation software, bots, hacks, or any other third-party software designed to modify or interfere with the Game.
3. Ownership and Intellectual Property
The Game and all related content, including but not limited to artwork, characters, storylines, music, sound effects, and code, are owned by Echo in a Void Games LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights in the Game to you.
4. Steam Platform
The Game is distributed through Steam, and you must comply with Steam's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy when using the Game. We are not responsible for any issues or obligations arising from your use of the Steam platform. 5. Updates and Patches
We may, from time to time, release updates, patches, or other modifications to the Game. These updates may be automatically downloaded and installed on your device through the Steam platform. You acknowledge and agree that updates and patches are a part of the Game and may include bug fixes, improvements, and additional content.
6. Term and Termination
This Agreement will remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the Game and ceasing to use it. We may terminate this Agreement if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Game and uninstall it from your device.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
• No Warranty: The Game is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Game will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.
• Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Game, including but not limited to damages for loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
8. Privacy and Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data directly from you beyond what is provided through the Steam platform. Your use of the Game is subject to Steam's Privacy Policy, which can be reviewed at Steam's Privacy Policy.
9. User-Generated Content
If the Game allows you to create or submit content (e.g., mods, screenshots, videos), you retain ownership of your content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Game. You agree not to submit any content that violates the rights of others or is unlawful.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement will be governed by the laws of Pennsylvania in the United States. Any disputes arising out of or related to this Agreement will be resolved in the courts located in Allegheny County, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
11. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
12. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and Echo in a Void Games LLC regarding the Game and supersedes any prior agreements or communications, whether written or oral, related to the Game.
13. Changes to This Agreement
We may update or modify this EULA at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Game after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Agreement.
