End User License Agreement (EULA)
1. Introduction
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Three Swords Studio for the game "Heretical," including all software, assets, and media.
2. License Grant
Three Swords Studio grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use "Heretical" for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to the terms of this EULA.
3. User Conduct
You agree to use "Heretical" in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and in a manner that does not harm, interfere with, or disrupt the game or its services.
4. Data Collection and GDPR Compliance
By playing "Heretical," you agree to the collection of certain data to improve the game. This data will not include personal information and will be used solely for game balance purposes. Three Swords Studio complies with GDPR regulations regarding data collection and privacy. The data collected will be anonymous and aggregated, ensuring that individual players cannot be identified. This data will include gameplay metrics, in-game choices, and system performance data to help us understand how players interact with the game and identify areas for improvement.
5. Proprietary Rights
All assets, media, and intellectual property within "Heretical" are the exclusive property of Three Swords Studio. You agree not to distribute any assets or media from the game without prior written consent from Three Swords Studio.
6. Permission for Streaming and Videos
You are permitted to stream "Heretical," create videos, and showcase the game on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. However, you may not distribute game assets or media without contacting Three Swords Studio first for permission.
7. Software and Plugins
"Heretical" uses the FMOD plugin for sound and the Unity Engine. By playing the game, you agree to comply with the terms of use for these third-party software components.
8. Limitations of Liability
Three Swords Studio provides "Heretical" "as is" without any warranties or guarantees. You use the game at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Three Swords Studio shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the game.
9. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this EULA will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the game and delete all copies of it from your devices.
10. Governing Law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Three Swords Studio is based, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
11. Updates
Three Swords Studio may release updates, patches, or new versions of "Heretical" to improve the game. You agree that these updates may be automatically installed without additional notice or consent.
