Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Grimrain, an online massively multiplayer online role-playing game (“MMORPG”), including the game client, servers, websites, forums, APIs, and any related services (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, downloading, accessing, or playing Grimrain, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. About Grimrain
Grimrain is an online multiplayer role-playing game in which players create characters, interact with other players in a shared persistent world, participate in gameplay systems, and communicate via in-game features. The Service is operated by us or on our behalf.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service.
- You confirm that you are aged 13 or over.
- If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account used by a person under 13.
3. Account Registration and Security
- You must provide accurate and up-to-date registration information.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out using your account.
Accounts must not be shared, sold, transferred, or assigned. We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorised access caused by your failure to protect your credentials.
4. Licence and Permitted Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and play Grimrain for personal, non-commercial use only.
- No commercial use or monetisation.
- No real-world trading of accounts, characters, items, or currency.
- No bots, automation, macros, or scripts.
- No cheats, exploits, hacks, or unauthorised software.
- No reverse engineering or modification of the client or servers.
5. Acceptable Use and Technical Restrictions
You must use the Service only in the manner intended and authorised by us.
- You must not modify, adapt, patch, translate, or create derivative works of the game client.
- You must not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code.
- You must not intercept, emulate, or modify network traffic or protocols.
- You must not connect to the Service using unauthorised clients, tools, or software.
- You must not operate or connect to private servers, emulated servers, or unofficial services.
- You must not bypass authentication, security, or integrity checks.
- You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to servers or infrastructure.
Any attempt to interfere with the normal operation, integrity, or security of the Service may result in immediate suspension or permanent banning.
6. Chat, Communications, and Moderation
Grimrain includes in-game chat and communication systems.
- Chat messages and communications are not private.
- Chat logs may be monitored, reviewed, and retained for moderation and safety.
- Action may be taken based on chat content, player reports, or automated systems.
7. Enforcement and Account Sanctions
We may take enforcement action at our discretion, including:
- Warnings
- Temporary suspensions
- Permanent bans
- Removal or reset of characters, items, or progress
8. Online Safety and the UK Online Safety Act
Grimrain is operated in accordance with the UK Online Safety Act. We take reasonable and proportionate measures to protect users, particularly children, from illegal and harmful content and behaviour.
- We assess and mitigate risks relating to harassment, abuse, and harmful communications.
- We provide systems for reporting players and content that may be harmful or unlawful.
- We may take proactive moderation steps, including automated and manual review.
- We may remove content or restrict accounts to comply with legal obligations.
Users must not use the Service to create, share, or promote content that is illegal, harmful, or contrary to the protections intended by the Online Safety Act.
9. Virtual Items and Game Data
All characters, items, currency, and game data remain our property. Virtual items have no real-world monetary value and may be altered or removed at any time.
10. Availability and Changes
The Service is provided “as is” and may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of data, characters, or progress.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected from all players in Grimrain. By using the Service, you agree to follow these rules.
1. Respectful Behaviour
Players must treat others with respect. The following behaviour is prohibited:
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or stalking
- Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language
- Threats of violence or encouragement of self-harm
- Targeted abuse or sustained harassment
2. Appropriate Content
- No explicit sexual content
- No obscene or offensive language intended to shock or harass
- No sharing of illegal or harmful material
3. Fair Play
- No cheating, exploiting bugs, or abusing game mechanics
- No use of bots, automation, or third-party tools
- No attempting to disrupt servers or gameplay
4. Impersonation and Deception
- No impersonating staff or other players
- No misleading others for personal gain
5. Enforcement
Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in temporary or permanent bans, without warning. Enforcement decisions are final.
