TOWERBORNE CODE OF CONDUCT

By playing this game, you agree the Towerborne Code of Conduct. Towerborne is a game for everyone. We made Towerborne to bring people together, whether on the couch or online. We continue to strive to create and maintain a community of positivity that grows with us.

This Code of Conduct applies to Towerborne and all Towerborne social spaces, including Discord. This Code of Conduct is subject to change. By playing Towerborne and using its associated online services, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.

We apply our content moderation policies diligently, objectively, and proportionately. Our platform services respect the fundamental rights of all parties involved, including your freedom of expression. Players are also subject to the Microsoft Services Agreement, Privacy Statement and the Xbox Code of Conduct, which are incorporated herein by reference.

PLAYER REPORTING

We want to ensure you know what options are available to you should you run into issues with other players in the game. Unfortunately, not all players behave themselves. Accordingly, we may take enforcement actions to uphold our Xbox Community Standards.

The two main options available are BLOCKING A PLAYER and REPORTING A PLAYER. In many negative player-to-player interactions, you might think that REPORTING a player is the right thing to do. However, this may not always be the case.

If you do not get along with someone but that player has not violated the Code of Conduct, then please use the BLOCK PLAYER feature for your gaming platform. Information on how to can be found at the following links for Xbox or Steam. This will prevent the blocked player from interacting or communicating with you within your gaming platform. If you reconcile with that player later, you can unblock them. This does NOT prevent the blocked player from interacting with you outside Towerborne, so remember not to share your personal information with people you do not know.

If you have witnessed or experienced another player or players violating the Code of Conduct, you can report them on the Towerborne website .

PLAYERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO:

  • Report Bugs - Anytime you see something that seems broken, let us know!

  • Be Respectful and Welcoming - Towerborne allows you to play your own way, so not everyone will have the same experiences as you and your friends.

  • Be Part of Our Community - We couldn’t make Towerborne without you, and joining us on social media allows you to see new stuff and engage with other players. Check us out on Discord, or follow us on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook!

PLAYERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO:

  • Discriminate- We do not tolerate unjust or prejudiced treatment against anyone. Towerborne is a game for everyone regardless of race, color, creed or religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age, disability, and genetic information (including family medical history).

  • Harass (Troll, Grief) - Another player uses words or engages in behavior that annoys, threatens, intimidates, or demeans a person

  • Behave Offensively - Players are not allowed to engage in behavior that is offensive to other players, including vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, misogynistic, prejudicial (racially or ethically) or otherwise objectionable

  • Use unauthorized hardware or software - Software or hardware that interferes with or disrupts gameplay, forums, Support, or any Stoic-owned entities, regardless of intention, is strictly prohibited.

  • --Please note that anyone who engages in conduct that is intended to disrupt and/or diminish either the experience or operation of the platform may be violating criminal and/or civil laws

  • --Intentionally accessing, attempting to access, or distributing services that are not public is strictly prohibited

  • Interfere with our services - Any actions that interfere with our services are strictly prohibited.

  • Exploit bugs in the game - Exploiting a bug for personal gain or to harm other players is prohibited. Please report any bugs directly here.

  • Promote, Spam, Advertise, or Troll - Please check with the Discord or forums pages for opportunities to promote someone else or yourself.

  • Share personal information - Other than display names, sharing personal information is never allowed. Threatening to share or the actual sharing of someone else’s personal information, real name, real-world location, or age is never allowed. This includes sharing your own personal information within Towerborne, the official Towerborne Discord spaces, or any other spaces owned by Towerborne.

  • Use another player’s account - The authorized or unauthorized use of another player’s account can result in one or both of your accounts being banned.

  • Sell or trade accounts - The selling and trading of accounts goes against Xbox’s Terms and Conditions. Please read further regarding the topic here.

  • Have Inappropriate Player Names - A player has a name that violates our Code of Conduct and/or promotes discrimination.

  • Bot or AFK Farm - You suspect another player of using or being a bot within the game–usually, these are used for maliciously farming in-game items or currency.
