END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
IMPORTANT – READ CAREFULLY: This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or an entity), and the Volcano Simulator authors, and the 'Cité du Volcan' Museum, for the use of the Volcano Simulator software.
By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this document, do not use the Software.
LICENSE GRANT: Steams and the Authors grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for personal use, educational or research purposes only. You may not use the Software for any commercial purposes, including but not limited to : selling, renting, leasing, or distributing the Software.
MUSEUMS: Except for the Cité du Volcan, no museum can use the general public/student version of the Software as is. If a museum wishes to use the Software for exhibition or educational purposes, it must request a special license from the authors.
DISCLAIMER: The Software is designed for educational purposes only and should not be used for any real-life predictions. We do not guarantee the accuracy of the simulation or any results obtained using the Software.
RESTRICTIONS: You may not copy, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software. You may not transfer, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the Software to any other party. You may not use the Software to create a product that competes with the Software.
OWNERSHIP: The Software is owned and copyrighted by the authors. You acknowledge that Mr Eric Chahi and Mr François Sahy retains all title and ownership rights to the Software and all intellectual property rights associated with the Software.
TERMINATION: This EULA will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions of this EULA. Upon termination, you must immediately cease using the Software.
LIMITED WARRANTY: The authors warrants that the Software will perform substantially in accordance with the documentation accompanying the Software. The publisher's entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be the replacement of the Software that does not meet this limited warranty.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: As specified above, the Software is designed for educational purposes only. In no event shall Steam, the authors, or the 'Cité du Volcan' be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising out of the use of the software.
GOVERNING LAW: This EULA shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland, without giving effect to any conflicts of law principles.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT: This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and the authors with respect to the Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous oral or written communications, proposals, and representations with respect to the Software or any other subject matter covered by this EULA. This EULA may not be modified except in writing signed by both you and the authors.
