Case #1472 - Privacy Policy
===============================================================================
Last updated October 1, 2022.
Being transparent regarding what data we collect from you, how we collect it,how the data is being used and how we secure it, is important to us. We also like to keep things simple, so below we have summarized everything in an hopefully in a straight forward understandable format. Feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions!
Third party services
In order to collect data to evaluate it we use certain "third party services". A third party service is a service or a system we don't directly control or host by ourselves, hence it is a third party service we use.
We do this because we want to learn more about the different people who are playing our games, such as where they are from, how they are playing our games, and in which way, so we can detect errors and improve the game experience. We use these third party services simply because they can do a better job than us to gather and visualize this data.
Some third party services are used in the client, as in what is installed and executed on your personal computer, while other services are used in our own backend systems. In order to help you understand which is executed where, we have annotated each service with either "Client" or "Backend". We might even use some services both in the Client and the Backend.
Through-out this document we will be mentioning which services we are using so you can get a better understanding why we are using them. Please also note that we use many more third party solutions in order to build and provide a game. The list below only contains the services that might collect data from you or about you.
Data collected
Collected data can either be Personal Identifiable Data or Anonymous Data. Personal Identifiable Data is data that can, or has the potential, to directly link or identify an individual. Examples of Personal Identifiable Data is full name, emails, social security numbers, etc.
Anonymous Data is data that is too vague or generic in order to specifically identify an individual. Examples of Anonymous Data are gender, country, age, etc. Anonymous Data is however still useful for us, as it can be used as part of aggregated data.
Below we have summarized what each service collects in regards to Personal Identifiable Data.
Broken at Release Game Studio (Backend)

- User Agent - Broken at Release Game Studio collects User Agent information in order to make sure our games are not being accessed in an invalid way, for example outside our clients.
Google Analytics (Client)

- User Agent - Google Analytics collects User Agent information in order to determine the device platforms of users.
Amplitude (Backend)
- IP address - Amplitude collects IPs in order to determine the geographical location (country and city) of users.
- User Agent - Amplitude collects User Agent information in order to determine the device platforms of users.
Rollbar (Client & Backend)
- User Agent - Rollbar collects User Agent information in order to determine on what platform an error occurred.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information a site can store in your browser. They usually just contain a random ID. They are almost an essential part of any site that wants to be able to identify the same user when they are visiting multiple pages. Cookies are for example used for user tracking for site analytics, but also to remember user login and logout states.
Like almost all sites and products, cookies are automatically created as soon as you visit the site. But you always have the ability to disable and delete any cookies saved in your browser, whenever you want to, by going into your browser's settings. However, by doing this, a user will not be able to login and remain logged in.
Since our software and services might be using web technologies, cookies might be used, even though you might not directly be aware of it.
More information about cookies can be read here:
http://ec.europa.eu/ipg/basics/legal/cookies/index_en.htm
Below we have summarized what cookies are created, by whom and how they are used.
Broken at Release Game Studio (Backend)
- We create a single cookie ("com-specialagentsqueaky-keystone-session") which is an auto-generated random ID per client. This helps us to set login state information for your client. Without this, users won't be able to login and remain logged in.
Google Analytics (Client)
- Google Analytics automatically generates cookies in browsers in order to identify you while visiting multiple pages, in order to generate analytics regarding how many visitors the site gets, what they do and how long they stay in the site.
Amplitude (Backend)
- Amplitude automatically generates cookies in browsers in order to identify you while visiting multiple pages, in order to generate analytics regarding how many visitors the site gets, what they do and how long they stay in the site.

Sharing
Any data collected by us, or any third party tools we have chosen to implement in our platform, is not sold or shared to anyone external. It is only used by us.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time in conjunction with an update of our products or services, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances.
Remember your rights
According to the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), European citizens have a bunch of rights to control their own data, including, but not limited to, update any incorrect data, restrict any personal data, ask for a copy of any data we have on them and even the right to be forgotten. We believe these rights are important, so we extend these rights to all our users world wide.
