Code of Conduct

By playing our game you agree to the following code of conduct:
  • You will not use a team name that is defamatory, vulgar, offensive, hateful, harassing, threatening, illegal or otherwise inappropriate.
  • You will not include any personal data, advertising or anything that violates another party’s intellectual property rights within your team name.
  • You will not cheat or use any unauthorized software in connection with the online leaderboard server.
  • If we discover any leaderboard entries that violate against this code of conduct or any laws we will remove them.

Privacy Notice for our Games

Lena Voß, Peter Mentz, Sven Schäfer GbR also known as Pixel Beef Games is commited to protecting and respecting your privacy. This privacy notice will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you play our games.

1 What data do we collect?

We try our best not to collect personal data, but our games integrate and communicate with third-party services that distribute the games or provide in-game features such as leaderboards. These services may collect personal data.
We distribute our games via the Steam Store, an online platform by Valve Corporation. Steam collects and provides us some anonymized data about all players that own our games on Steam. This includes ownership status, achievements you have completed and other information needed to operate the game and provide support for it. These information do not make you identifiable.

We use anonymous online leaderboards in our game xDasher provided by brainCloud. To the best of our knowledge no data that can make you identifiable is collected unless you make it publicly available by including it in your teams name from within the game, which is prohibited by our code of conduct.

We collect anonymous gameplay data through a third-party service (Unity Analytics). This includes anonymized information such as device information (like IP address and device identifiers), as well as events completed or actions taken within the game, including which levels you played and how long you played. With the information provided to us we at Pixel Beef Games can not specifically identify you or your device.

We build our games with the Unity Engine provided by Unity Technologies, a Danish-American software company. Unity collects data automatically about every device that starts an applications build with the Unity Engine. When you play our game Unity will collect information about your device such as unique device identifiers; IP address; country of install; operating system and version running on your system or device; language; CPU information and graphics card type, vendor name and other information stated in Unitys Privacy Policy which is available at: https://unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy. We at Pixel Beef Games do not have access to this data.

2 How do we collect your data?

We automatically collect and process data with the help of the stated third-party services when you play our games.

3 Third-Party Service Providers

We contracted with the following third-party services to help us collect and process your data to maintain and improve our games.

4 How will we use your data?

We collect your data so that we can:
  • improve the gameplay of our games
  • monitor and maintain our games and provide support
  • provide online services included in our games (for example online leaderboards)

We do not sell your data. We share your information with our third-party service providers who help us operate our games.

5 How do we store your data?

To the best of our knowledge, we at Pixel Beef Games do not store any personal data or have the ability to de-anonymize the data the third-party services provide us. Data collected by our third-party providers may be stored and processed in the United States or in any other country where their affiliates, subsidiaries or service providers maintain facilities.

6 What are your data protection rights?

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request for copies of your personal data. This may costs a small fee.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request to correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request to erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request to restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request to transfer the data that has been collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

To the best of our knowledge, we at Pixel Beef Games do not store any personal data or have the ability to de-anonymize the data the third-party services provide us. So there is nothing we can delete, correct or access.

7 Our Policy on Information from Children

Our Services are intended for users ages 13 and older only. Accordingly, we will not knowingly collect or use any Personal Information from children that we know to be under the age of 13. In addition, we will delete any information in our possession that we discover originates from a child under the age of 13.

8 Links to Sites and Service Operated by Others

Our games may contain links to third-party websites such as the Steam Store, Social Media, or websites of our third-party service providers. Our privacy policy applies only to our games and services, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.
