PAX AUTOCRATICA
END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
Effective Date: 08/10/2026
Last Updated: 08/08/2026
This End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Multiverse Entertainment LLC, a California limited liability company ("Multiverse," "we," "us," or "our"), regarding your installation and use of Pax Autocratica, including its software, content, updates, and related materials (the "Game").
Pax Autocratica is published and operated by Multiverse Entertainment LLC, which owns or controls the rights necessary to publish, operate, and license the Game.
By installing, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Game, and you may seek a refund through the platform from which you obtained it, subject to that platform's refund policy.
If you are above that minimum age but below the legal age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to this Agreement on your behalf where local law requires it.
You must be legally capable of entering into this Agreement. You must not install or use the Game if you are barred from doing so under applicable law, including trade sanctions or export controls.
Your use of Steam is also governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and Valve's other applicable terms. Where those terms conflict with this Agreement as between you and Valve, the Steam terms govern that relationship.
The Game is licensed, not sold. No ownership interest in the Game or its intellectual property is transferred to you.
This license continues for as long as you comply with this Agreement and retain valid access to the Game through your platform account or installed devices.
• Play the Game for personal entertainment.
• Capture and share screenshots and gameplay videos.
• Stream the Game and monetize streams or videos through ordinary platform advertising, subscriptions, donations, and creator-support features.
• Create non-commercial fan art, commentary, guides, and other respectful fan content.
• Create and share mods where technically supported, provided they comply with this Agreement and do not redistribute substantial portions of the Game.
Fan content and mods must not:
• Imply that they are official, endorsed by, or created by Multiverse.
• Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
• Include malware, scams, fraud, unlawful content, sexual exploitation, or any content involving the sexualization or abuse of minors.
• Use leaked, stolen, confidential, or unlawfully obtained materials.
• Sell or redistribute the Game, its files, or its assets as a substitute for owning the Game.
• Require payment for access to copied Game assets or functionality without our written permission.
• Damage the Game, its services, or other users.
This permission is revocable.
We may withdraw the permission in this Section, in whole or as it applies to specific content, where the content breaches the restrictions above or where withdrawal is necessary to comply with a legal or platform requirement. Where we ask you to remove specific fan content, we will explain why, and you may respond or appeal by emailing contact@multiverseinc.com. We will not withdraw permission for lawful criticism, review, or commentary about the Game or about Multiverse.
We may publish a separate Fan Content Policy later. If we do, it will apply in addition to this Section.
You represent that you have the right to provide the Feedback and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
We will not publish personal information contained in your Feedback. If we quote or reference Feedback publicly, we will do so without identifying you, unless you have separately agreed otherwise.
• Copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Game.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the Game's source code.
• Circumvent Steam, technical protections, access controls, or security measures.
• Use cheats, unauthorized automation, exploits, or malicious software to interfere with the Game.
• Access or attempt to access accounts, systems, data, or services without authorization.
• Use the Game or its intellectual property in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, or infringing.
• Remove or alter proprietary notices.
• Use the Game or any part of it to train, fine-tune, or develop a machine learning or artificial intelligence model, or to create a competing product.
Nothing in this Agreement limits rights that cannot legally be waived, including rights relating to interoperability, decompilation for error correction, security research, accessibility, or consumer protection under mandatory law. If you need to exercise such a right, you may contact us first at contact@multiverseinc.com, but you are not required to do so.
To develop, maintain, balance, or secure the Game, we may:
• Add, change, remove, or replace features and content.
• Change progression, balance, or save-data formats.
• Reset or migrate saves or progression where reasonably necessary.
• Change pricing or release paid downloadable content.
• Add online, cooperative, or multiplayer functionality later.
• End support for obsolete builds or technical configurations.
We do not promise any specific future feature, content, release date, or final scope. Statements about future plans are current intentions only and are not commitments. Your decision to purchase should be based on the Game as it exists today.
We will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary loss of progress and to give advance notice in patch notes before a change that we expect will break existing saves. We do not guarantee that all saves, features, content, or systems will remain compatible throughout Early Access.
If we decide to stop developing the Game, we will announce it on the Steam store page and our website, and will say clearly whether the Game will remain playable and available for download.
Nothing in this Section removes any mandatory refund, warranty, or consumer right that applies where you live.
We do not control the availability, operation, or policies of those third-party services, and we are not responsible for them. If a platform service becomes unavailable, related Game features may stop working.
Backers, playtesters, and certain eligible users may use an optional Multiverse account to access legacy purchases, keys, cosmetic items, recognition, or other rewards. Use of that account is governed by the separate Multiverse Account Terms.
If you use the Xsolla launcher, Xsolla's separate account and platform terms may also apply.
The Game collects optional gameplay analytics and technical crash and error reports to help us diagnose stability problems and improve the Game. When you launch the Game for the first time, you will be asked for your consent before any such data collection begins. The Game will only begin collecting this data if you provide your consent.
The Game also allows you to voluntarily submit screenshots, logs, save files, and other information when reporting feedback or bugs. Nothing is sent unless you choose to submit it.
Steam and other third-party platforms process information under their own privacy policies.
You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the Game and ceasing to use it.
We may suspend or terminate your license where we have reasonable grounds to believe that:
• you have materially breached this Agreement;
• fraud, chargebacks, duplicate reward claims, account sharing, or unauthorized access has occurred;
• security attacks, malicious conduct, or unlawful activity has occurred; or
• action is required by a legal or platform requirement.
Any suspension or termination will be proportionate to the issue. Where the issue is capable of being corrected, we will normally give notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct it. Immediate action may be taken for serious fraud, security threats, unlawful conduct, or risks to users or systems.
On termination you must stop using the Game and delete all copies in your control. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except where mandatory consumer law requires one.
We do not warrant that the Game will be available, uninterrupted, secure, compatible with every device, or free from errors, or that any error will be corrected.
All implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, are disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or of certain consumer guarantees. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and this Section does not exclude any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
Excluded losses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Multiverse Parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, save files, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the Game or this Agreement, whether based in contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Liability cap. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of the Multiverse Parties arising out of or in connection with the Game or this Agreement will not exceed the greater of:
(a) the total amount you paid for the Game and related paid content during the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim; or
(b) Thirty United States dollars (US$30).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Stop playing immediately and consult a doctor if you or anyone playing experiences seizures, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, disorientation, involuntary movement, dizziness, convulsions, or any other unusual symptom.
To reduce risk: play in a well-lit room, sit further from the screen, use a smaller screen, take a 10–15 minute break every hour, and do not play when tired.
Repetitive strain: Prolonged play may cause discomfort in your hands, wrists, arms, or eyes. Take regular breaks and stop if you experience pain, numbness, tingling, or stiffness.
If you have a medical condition that may be affected by playing video games, consult a doctor before playing.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
Subject to the consumer exception below and to mandatory local law, disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Multiverse consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give reasonable advance notice through the Steam store page, an in-game notice, or email where we have your address, and where required by law we will ask you to accept the updated Agreement before you continue to use the Game.
If you do not agree to a material change to this Agreement, you may discontinue your use of the Game and uninstall it. Nothing in this Agreement limits any refund or other rights you may have under applicable mandatory consumer law.
We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Previous versions are available on request.
17.2 Entire agreement: This Agreement, together with the documents referred to in Section 17.1 and the applicable Steam terms, is the entire agreement between you and Multiverse about the Game.
17.3 Severability: If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if that is not possible, severed. The remaining provisions continue in full force.
17.4 No waiver: A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later. A waiver is effective only if given in writing.
17.5 Assignment: You may not assign this Agreement. We may assign it to an affiliate, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, provided the assignee agrees to be bound by it.
17.6 Force majeure: Neither party is liable for a failure or delay caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including natural disaster, war, civil unrest, labor action, epidemic, government action, or failure of a public network, utility, or third-party platform.
17.7 No third-party beneficiaries: This Agreement is between you and Multiverse only. No other person or entity has any right to enforce any provision of it.
17.8 Notices: We may give notice through the Steam store page, an in-game notice, or the email address associated with your Multiverse account where you have one. You may send notices to contact@multiverseinc.com.
17.9 Language: This Agreement is made in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only, and the English version prevails in the event of a conflict, except where mandatory local law requires otherwise.
