Product Update - Valve
This patch lets you toggle the film projector effects in cutscenes and the in-game vignetting. These still default to on, but some players have asked for a way to turn them off. You can find the new options in the graphics settings page.

Updates to Left 4 Dead 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

- Next Mutation: Flu Season
- Removed a demo ConVar that was being used for an exploit

Dead Center 1:
- The lower windows should no longer be accessible (versus map grief).

Dark Carnival 3:
- Adjusted brush that was blocking a truck interior, to no longer block the truck interior.
- Adjusted the rollercoaster event start to make it more difficult to skip.

Hard Rain 2:
- Adjusted blockers on the pipe-hop shortcut to provide better coverage.

Hard Rain 1/5:
- Adjusted blockers to better cover the added box which itself covers an invincible spot.

The Passing 1:
- Added blockers for survivors along the railings in the upper areas to prevent them from leaving the map or getting stuck out of bounds

- The laptop in the avatars office is now only useable for share transactions. Statistics can be reviewed via the "statistics"-button.
- The laptop is deactivated during the first six missions of the game.
- Notifications have been added in case of the player trying to reach restricted areas.
- Resolutions like 1360x768 as well as 1366x768 are now supported by the game.
- When leaving the graphic options menu, without changing anything, will not result in an request to restart the game anymore.

We are happy to announce that now all players from all servers are able to participate in Global Map warfare on an even bigger scale. The Global Map becomes truly Global! There are 8 regions out of 9 opened, and all the clans from all our servers are transferred there. Clans from the US and European Server 2 are resettled in the new Beast Folk, Amazon, Barbarian and Dark Elf regions, while still owning the same number of similar provinces that they had before.

At the same time, the most mysterious and rich region, which is the center of the Global map, will still be hidden in the fog of war.

It's time for Turbocross! Our first new game mode has arrived for all you who want to try much faster, less strategic gameplay. The Rules Have Changed! Turbocross features rebuildable turrets, faster movement, higher lethality, and no passive power improvement with level. The objective remains the same as Super Crossfire; push bots, destroy the Moneyball!

We're also introducing more fan inspired content! Mustaches are now available as flair. There is a new slot of flair that goes on Pro's heads so you can mix and match your staches with your chest flair. We'd love to see pictures of your Pro creations!
