We want to thank all the players who began their journey in Solisium during our Open Beta test. Your participation and feedback have been invaluable as we closely collaborate with NCSOFT to drive changes that reimagine THRONE AND LIBERTY from its original launch in Korea to our launch in Amazon Games' supported regions. Additionally, we’ve seen a surge of excitement from players surrounding the latest major patch in Korea, which introduced a variety of updates and systems. We are committed to delivering the best possible player experience at launch, and as a direct result of player feedback, testing efforts, and the reception to new features, we will be making key changes to the game.
Our team began work after the Open Beta, but fully implementing community feedback and integrating new systems will take additional time. To give our team the time needed to incorporate the most critical pieces of feedback and systems, we have decided to move the THRONE AND LIBERTY launch to October 1, 2024, with Early Access starting on September 26, 2024. Below you dive into the specifics of the updates we’re implementing to ensure THRONE AND LIBERTY provides the best player experience possible at launch.
Launch Game Updates
Updates Based on Player Feedback
Combat We will be working on combat updates that improve the early game combat experience for players, bringing it more in-line with the strong positive sentiment we received around the late to endgame combat. The improvements include:
Improved camera controls to remove smoothing (an optional setting) and increase camera movement speed.
Adjusting the skill acquisition timing to give players access to varied abilities and builds earlier in the leveling journey.
Improving the intuitiveness of tab-targeting.
Leveling / Progression We heard feedback from Open Beta participants that they felt overwhelmed by the amount of systems that they were quickly introduced to in the early stages of their journey when leveling and progressing. We’re adjusting the progression journey to better spread out the introduction of systems, allowing players to focus on their early questing experience and learning the ins-and-outs of their character and combat before diving into too many additional systems.
Guilds THRONE AND LIBERTY is better together. As a guild you can get more out of unique modes like Castle Siege, more confidently traverse the open world thanks to meaningful guild rewards, and better contend with hostile players. We’re expanding the tagging available to guilds so that players can more easily find guilds that align with their playstyles.
New Features
We’re excited to announce that we will bring forward some key changes from the existing Korean version of THRONE AND LIBERTY. The three systems listed below aren’t a comprehensive look at every change we’re including, but these updates are a few we know engaged fans are eagerly anticipating. There will be additional Quality of Life (QoL) and other changes included alongside these new systems, and even more will be added post-launch.
Skill Specializations
New skill specialization system will be implemented for launch in the regions supported by Amazon Games, allowing you to further customize your combat experience. Find a showcase of the new skill specializations below.
Lifeskills
Fishing and Cooking will be included for you to experience new lifeskill systems in THRONE AND LIBERTY. Cooking will include new recipes divided into attack, defense, life, and utility effects, while Fishing will introduce a new minigame allowing you to catch a variety of fish in the waters of Solisium.
Cooking Showcase
Fishing Showcase
Amitoi Expeditions
Amitoi Expeditions will be added, a new system allowing you to send your Amitois on adventures to collect rewards for you when they’re not accompanying you on your adventures in Solisium. It also includes the Amitoi House, your base of operations for Amitoi Expeditions.
Looking Forward
There are even more changes and updates that will arrive in THRONE AND LIBERTY in the future, and closer to launch we’ll have a team update that discusses the first two months of our roadmap and when you can expect certain content to release.
Once again, our team would like to thank you for your passion, participation, and support as we head toward releasing THRONE AND LIBERTY on October 1, 2024. We can’t wait to welcome you into Solisium.
Some details about the game settings are not easy to explain in the game (after all, the characters are already verbose), so I added a document to understand more game settings, as long as the game is cleared, you can view this document.
Awkward 2: The Party Game of Savage Secrets - florence.burchill
As you may have seen on the Awkward 2 Steam page, we have new capsule art!
As we continue our mission to tie together two themes that aren’t often seen together: ‘adult’ and ‘party’, we are working hard to show this unusual marriage of genres through the Steam page and other forms of advertising. We’ve added new Chibi characters (https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1682690/view/4363508865810825036) and we’ve also decided to change the Awkward 2 capsule art!
Here’s the previous one:
We loved this art that showed off the wicked Demi-God Wick surrounded by some beautiful illustrations of various other Gods but, in theory, this capsule art could be linked to any game genre and it doesn’t clearly enough demonstrate that this is a party game.
Here’s the new art:
In this image you can see Wick, Momus and the Egg of Destiny all emerging from the screen towards a group of friends who have gathered to drink and play together. Another bonus of this capsule art is that you’re able to see they’re playing with their phones as a controller which is a feature we really wanted to highlight!

There have been numerous audio improvements, as well as some additional audio in places. Overall, things should sound much more immersive.

Fixed issues that could happen when taking the headset on and off at different points in the game.

Structural Adjustments to Equipment and Hero Storage Systems: Significant changes have been made to the storage structure of both equipment and heroes. This update is currently in the testing phase. If no bugs are encountered, the system will allow for an unlimited number of items and heroes to be added, unlike the previous version, which had a limited shared capacity.
1.Sect Icons Added to the Map After 75% Exploration: Sect icons will now appear on the map once 75% of the area has been explored. Although the sect characters are already generated in the background, they are not yet visible to the player. This feature is also in the testing phase.
2.Town Access After 50% Exploration: Players can now visit towns after exploring 50% of the map.
3.New Save Files on the Map: The level range within the same continent has been significantly narrowed to between 1-5 levels.
4.Bug Fix: A bug causing equipment changes when manually saving the game has been fixed.
5.Some trees and buildings have been redrawn, and minor UI adjustments have been made.
Note: Version 1.70 is compatible with older save files. The two storage structures (old and new) are currently running simultaneously for stability testing. If no significant bugs are found, the new storage structure will be fully implemented, allowing for unlimited additions of both characters and equipment.
