How to Survive - 505 Games
PlayStation 3 fans can now test their zombie apocalypse survival instincts with today’s release of How to Survive on the PlayStation® Network. This third-person action adventure game tests players’ ability to stay alive in a world where the outbreak of an unknown virus has turned most of the population into ravenous zombies.

In order to make it through the day and night, gamers must learn to fulfill their most basic needs such as seeking food, water and shelter, as well as finding an incredible variety of items to combine into dozens of handmade tools and weapons - scrap metal, tubes, bolts, fertilizer, tires, harpoons, and empty bottles are just some of the many items scattered about, but how you use them determines whether you wind up dead, alive or undead.

In addition, the game’s Heatwave DLC set is now available – descriptions below:
  • Heatwave DLC single character – Purchase a new, fireproof suit for Abby, Kenji or Jack for and learn how to craft incendiary bullets -- $.99
  • Heatwave DLC three characters – Purchase fireproof suits for everyone and learn how to craft incendiary bullets -- $1.99
How To Survive is priced at $14.99 and has been rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB. Stay up to date with the latest survival techniques at https://www.facebook.com/HowToSurviveTheGame

How to Survive - 505 Games
We're disappointed to hear of this comment by the developer of ROAM. How To Survive has been in development for over two years, this was codenamed "Monster Island," which you can see on our website. Our director was also interviewed by Nintendo Everything a few weeks ago and talked about the history of the games development. For those interested here is the link - http://nintendoeverything.com/interview-how-to-survive-director-talks-games-lengthy-development-wii-u-version-and-more/“

You can find early videos on the internet, where you can already tell the development stage in late 2012 -http://raphaelbouchaud.wordpress.com/2012/12/19/monster-island/

We deeply regret such statements that question Eko Software’s work and feel we need to protect our honest labor to minimize the negative effects irresponsible comments are having on the game. We're pleased to hear the developer of ROAM has now retracted his comments and apologized for the mistake here - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/roam/roam/posts/643148

How to Survive - 505 Games
Fixes

Controls
  • Control problems ( keyboard & mouse issues, character moves by itself or not at all, unwanted buttons pressed, etc.).
Most of the problems come from the fact the game is able to dynamically switch from joypad to keyboard/mouse configuration and few devices installed on some PCs are recognized as HID devices. We have added an option to remove the autodetect controller function. To deactivate this function, access to the Configuration menu when you boot the game from Steam and check the “Disable AutoDetect Paddle / Keyboard” box. This will switch the control selection to manual allowing you to select the preferred control method in the in-game option menu.
Please note that if you experienced control issues, most likely the joypad/joystick you are using is not supported by the game. In this case we advise to stick to keyboard/mouse, or official Xbox 360 controller for PC, control method for the time being. A patch to add universal controller support will come shortly.

Game Stability
  • General stability has been improved.
  • Randomly some objects were not visible. Fixed.
  • Randomly some enemies were not moving. Fixed.

Thank you all for being patient as we continue to address additional issues.

The game is patched when the date displayed on the bottom of the title screen shows 24 Oct 2013 14:49:31.
