Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ - Frogsquadron
Hello, Dungeon explorers!

AmpliMath announced it two weeks ago, we showcased it last week during our livestream, now is time to delve a little more into the content brought by the Organic Matters update, available on November 24th for PC! This content is the result of G2G votes from the last few months.

NEW SHIP

The new Organic pod expands and takes hold in rooms as they are powered. As a result, rooms cannot be unpowered. Due to its living nature, it slowly damages (digests?) modules built into powered rooms. However, it also generates food per each powered room, as well as reduces drastically mob defense in these rooms. Give it a try and tell us what you think!

NEW HERO

Meet QV1819, also known as Rosetta, diplomatic robot on a mission. This adorable little critter seems weak at first, but hides a potential only unlocked when facing large groups of monsters.

NEW MONSTER FAMILY

These bad boys are actually quite harmless... until they're surrounded by other monsters. The smaller Vultu keeps modules busy without attacking. The larger one leeches stats off of your Heroes, and the largest, staying only temporarily before exploding, gives dust upon being destroyed... but you have to be quick about it! We expect these monsters to spice up your encounters quite a bit.

OTHER COOL STUFF

To keep in line with the living matter theme of the update, we're adding two minor modules that recycle destroyed enemies into industry and food!
We're proud of announcing that the game now supports Gamepad input! A standard X360 controller will do the trick, but fancier controllers should work too!
Finally, the game is now offering a long-awaited ending sequence, that ties in with the end screen. No more details on this, you'll have to exit the dungeon to see it!

That's all for today. Stay tuned for more on Dungeon of the Endless - Rescue Team!

ENDLESS™ Space - Definitive Edition - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Adam Smith)

Perhaps Amplitude’s award-winning strategy game really is> endless. A large free update for Endless Legend [official site] is due to land sometime today and there will be two cash-money chunks of DLC arriving alongside. The free stuff comes under the heading Forges of Creation and brings AI improvements, new modding tools, including compatibility with free map editor Tiled and the ability to reskin 3D units. There will also be Steam Workshop integration. The two purchasable packs contain new music, items and minor faction quests. More details below.

Dungeon of the ENDLESS™

A few months ago Amplitude announced Endless Space 2, but that doesn't mean the developers there (the "Amplidudes and Amplidudettes") aren't working on anything else. In fact, both Endless Legend and Dungeon of the Endless are due to receive updates later this month.

First, on November 19 (this Thursday), Endless Legend will get a free update the team is calling "Forges of Creation", which—as the name suggests—is related to modding. While modding is already available, this update connects it to the Steam Workshop and makes further improvements: "for example by adding compatibility to a popular Map Editor (bring forth your favorite fantasy worlds to Endless Legend!) or the ability to reskin 3D units". The update also makes improvements to the AI, which will carry forward to Amplitude's other games in future.

That's all free, but they'll also release a paid-for content pack called The Lost Tales that includes 20 quests related to Minor Factions. There's also Echoes of Auriga, a pack of seven musical tracks composed by FlyByNo, along with some related items such as the "Harp of Noby Fly".

On November 24, Dungeon of the Endless will also get a free update called "Organic Matters", which contains content that was conceptualised by players in competitions. It includes the Organic Spaceship, three new monsters, a new Rosetta hero, new minor modules, a new ending sequence, and a gamepad interface.

Dungeon of the Endless will also get a mini content pack called The Rescue Team that adds three Rescue Team heroes with "very unique skills", two new monsters, and a new major module. If you want to find out more, Amplitude will talk about the updates on Twitch on this Thursday November 19.
