Tired of seeing only quick flashes of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie? Here's 55 seconds' worth of Prince Jake running across rooftops, dodging arrows, and swinging from ropes for your viewing pleasure, courtesy of ComingSoon.Net.

This certainly seems to be the sort of trouble we'd expect the Prince to get into. Of course it also looks like the sort of action we'd expect from a live-action version of Aladdin, but I suppose that's unavoidable. Persia's just filled with dashing heroes running across rooftops, thwarting guards in dangerous ways. It's their national bird.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will be in theaters on May 28.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Jake "Chesty" Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton discuss the story behind Price of Persia: The Sands of Time, Disney's big-budget film based on the long-running gaming franchise.

Could this be the best video game to film adaptation of all time? All the pieces are in place. They seem to be following the story of the Sands of Time video game as faithfully as they can, given the medium. The special effects are reminiscent of those established in the game. The cast is filled with award-winning actors, and the footage we've seen so far is pretty damn spectacular.

Sure, it could still be a massive bomb. Maybe a sandstorm will hit the U.S. between now and next month's release, making sand unfashionable.

It could happen.

Here's the official trailer for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, which is a lot like the developer diary released early last month, only without developers inconsiderately talking over it so we can get to know this new/old Prince.

I'm wondering how the unrelated Disney film will color fan's perception of this game. After all, we've spent the past year poring over stills and trailers of Jake Gyllenhaal as the Prince. I suppose to some of us he's become the Prince, so to see the main character of this game, who isn't quite Jake or the Prince from any recent Ubisoft PoP games is a little bit unnerving. Who is this guy?

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is due out on May 18 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PSP, Wii, and DS. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time hits theaters on May 28th.
