It's The PC Gamer Show! For episode one, we talked to Tripwire Interactive about upcoming shooter Killing Floor 2, played a high stakes game of Nidhogg with serious embarrassment on the line, and got our hands on a new Samsung 4K monitor.

In this episode...

Act I: Evan chats with Tripwire Interactive president John Gibson about Killing Floor 2. Gibson talks about what the team has been working on since our Killing Floor 2 cover story, including motion captured reloads and gore that looks like BBQ chicken.
Act II: Wes and Cory take a break from deadline day to play Nidhogg, with high stakes. Guest starring PC Gamer mascot emeritus Coconut Monkey.
Act III: Tyler and Wes talk about the performance and drawbacks of 4K gaming after testing out the Samsung 590D 4K monitor.

The PC Gamer Show is a new and evolving project for us, and we want your feedback to help make it better. What kind of segments do you want to see? What games should we play and talk about? Who should we have on as guests? What's coming up next?

Shout at us in the comments below, or shoot us an email directly at letters@pcgamer.com. We're listening. And we'll see you in two weeks.

We are just about to release a required update for clients and servers that will bring Killing Floor to version 1060.

This update fixes the following issues:
  • Fix for some neon weapon skins not receiving on-perk bonuses.
  • Fix and additional checks to make sure Nitro Boost! achievement unlocks consistently.
  • Fix for possible progression stopper in KFO-Transit on dedicated servers.

We have also fixed issues earlier today (that did not require any client or server updates) that prevented the Potato Fools Day and Trench Warfare achievements from unlocking and a case where the new un-lockable character would unlock without players having properly obtained the right achievements.

Typical Central Line--headless people spraying blood everywhere.

Summer has arrived in London, and it’s pretty glorious all right. But I say that as someone on the third floor with a nice south-facing window and a cat dozing in the sunlight. Parts of London are today, I say exaggerating only an awful lot, Hellish. You hop on the Central Line during rush hour tonight and you’ll see. So where better to set a level in a co-op horror shooter?

Killing Floor‘s annual summer update has arrived, with goodies including a new Underground map and a new playable mutant-murdering lady. And, as they cannily do with big updates, developers Tripwire have also launched a few new paid DLC packs and put the game on sale.

On some servers, KFO-Transit will fail to continue after an objective is completed. We believe we know the cause and will be working on it tomorrow.

Update - We have a fix for this issue in testing (as well as several other issues). The Potato Fools day achievement and TrenchGun achievements should now be working.
