Left 4 Dead 2 "Cold Stream" Campaign Coming to 360 in July

After being out for nearly a year on PC as a beta you'd think Xbox 360 gamers would have given up ever seeing a new campaign for L4D2 on their beloved console. But Valve is not one to make people wait any longer than they have to! /s

According to the L4D Blog, come July 24th, 360 gamers will finally get their hands on the "Cold Stream" campaign that has been in beta testing for PC and Mac users since March 2011. The DLC also brings with it updated versions of all the maps from the original Left 4 Dead, just to sweeten the pot.

Valve is also promising some "surprise" updates for all platforms so look forward to that as well. Hell, I might even jump back into L4D on PC if that wasn't the same week Dawnguard was coming out.

So, if you can round up three friends and an Xbox 360, you too can now experience the Left 4 Dead franchise in all it's gory glory.

We're Getting An Awesome Lego Portal Movie This Year (Unofficially)The amazing individual known as Kooberz, who brought us the brilliant stop-motion Lego take on Ghost Recon this past spring is—sorry, Ghost Recon—doing something cooler for his next project: stop-motion Lego Portal.

The short film will be released in two or three parts, with the first one scheduled for release later this year. For now, we have some terrific teaser posters...

Thanks to Kooberz for giving us the heads up and for reminding us that, if you like the idea of Lego Portal, there's still a chance that this fan initiative to get real Portal Lego sets made could still happen—though there seem to have been some pushback from the Lego folks.

Available from Valve's store, as you reach for your wallet, remember: you're about to pay $30 for a 13-inch balloon.

Half-Life

This Is Either Leaked Half Life 2: Episode 3 Concept Art, or Just Cool Half-Life ArtThe website ValveTime has posted a gallery of concept art that their source claims are leaked pieces of concept art for Valve's much-anticipated (and super long-in-development) Half Life 2: Episode 3. (I should add that the art is from an anonymous visitor from an unnamed source. So, grains of salt in hand.)

The art is described as being from "circa 2008," meaning that if they're real, they are truly just concept drawings. However, a number of things about them—the fact that the helicopter from the end of Episode 2 turns up crashed, the arctic setting, which holds with past rumors of the game's setting, and the fact that a Combine advisor is shown, all indicate that these could well be legit.

And hey, even if they're fake, some of these are still quite lovely. To see the images at full resolution (along with a bunch more of 'em), head over to ValveTime's gallery.

It ain't news about Half Life 2: Episode 3 (much less Half Life 3), but it's something.

Portal

Warning: The video above is more than a year old. But I only saw it for the first time last week when Valve's Yasser Malaika and Leslie Reed used it in a presentation about Steam for Schools.

I don't think Kotaku has ever posted this incredible interpretative Portal dance number. What makes me grin at the work done by the Ninja of the Night cosplay troupe is the way they bring the game's mind-bending moments to life on the stage. Everyone remembers the moment when first looked at themselves through one of the game's wormhole openings. The recreation of that revelation gets a big pop from the crowd and deservedly so. Great stuff.

Only One Game Could Inspire a 1:1 San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Sandwich Action FigureMeet the Sandvich, a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive piece of Team Fortress 2 history. ThreeA Toys' masterful creation is so limited you'll have to make an appointment to buy it.

That's right, one does not simply walk up to a booth and ask for Sandvich. Sanvich asks to see you, and only after you set an appointment for purchase at ThreeA's Bambaland Store starting at 9PM Eastern. You'll pick the day and time to meet Sandvich, and at the appointed time it will become yours.

How much is Sandvich? This is silly question. You cannot put price tag on such majesty. Not until 9PM.

Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2's Pyromania Heats Up with New Weapons and a City on FireA trio of heroes armed with powerful new weapons against the man (or woman) that would burn everything they've built to the ground. Day Two of Team Fortress 2's Pyromania update has me feeling the drama. I mean hell, just look at that still from "Meet the Pyro" up top. Oh yeah, I'm feeling it.

I haven't been keeping up with the lore surrounding Team Fortress 2 very well at all, mainly because I'm not particularly good at playing it. I'm not-too-shabby with the Scout and Soldier, but anything beyond that is also beyond me.

But when I see an image like this, I really want to get into it.

Team Fortress 2's Pyromania Heats Up with New Weapons and a City on Fire

That's the top of the City on Fire page linked in the Pyromania Day Two post on the Team Fortress blog. The writing accompanying the image describes Downtown Teufort, a city filled with sewage just ripe for a fiery cleansing.

The remainder of the update details new weapons for the Scout, Soldier, Sniper and Pyro, the latter getting a the flare gun seen in the "Meet the Pyro" scene above. I want to fire that in your face.

See? I'm in the spirit of things now.

That money can secure you one of 750 Portal 2 turrets upon their Q4 2012 release, packed lovingly in foam with a certificate that ensures that this is a high quality product and not something you made in shop class.

Just look at this thing. Are you not pleased to the tune of $300?

Perhaps you need to see a more detailed view. Did I mention the motion sensor activated light?

Still not convinced? What's wrong with you? You act as if you don't have $300 to toss about frivolously on video game paraphernalia.

I can understand that, so I won't even tell you about the Gaming Heads exclusive edition, which adds voices from the game to the statue for a mere $30 extra. It's limited to 350 pieces; you probably couldn't have secured one in time anyway.
