Hey everyone! Thanks for joining the Tower Wars official group!
We'll be giving out beta keys starting Monday, July 9th! Starting then, we'll be rolling out keys on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and our official group here. You can play whenever you want, but in order to have a good group of people playing at the same time, we will have Tower Wars play events in which all the devs will be online and playing the game, and we hope you'll join us to help us test out our matchmaking and official servers.
We really want to try to create a community here, and your feedback is very important to us. We'll be using our official Tower Wars Steam forum so you can communicate directly with us and offer feedback and report any bugs you might find. Stay tuned for details on that.
Thanks for your support so far! We look forward to playing with you!
One of our interns has finished his slave labou-... I mean, his in-depth internship here at ISOTX! So of course we had to have an in-depth interview with him! Lucky for us, he's hanging around for a while longer. May we present: Eonfge!
What is your (nick-) name? Kevin “Eonfge” Degeling
How old are you? I’m 21 years old.
Tell us about your internship at ISOTX? Since the start of my internship in February, I’ve been working on all kinds of different things. I’m responsible for many raids in the Atelia Region, made all the smuggling-maps in the same region and I also had the option to add two new PVP maps to the mix. After I also built the entire quest line for the Atelia Region, featuring Lady Heresh, I went on with some extra Kolo quests and fixing numerous exploits and errors in existing maps.
What did you like about ISOTX? My whole internship was a great experience, and I have learned a lot from a production standpoint. One of the greatest things while working at ISOTX, is the good atmosphere and shared interests. All of us have a shared vision on games and we are all really motivated to make our games as good as possible.
What are you studying and what do you want to become after you’re done studying? I study Game Design & Development at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (Utrecht School of Art and Technology as it is known outside of The Netherlands). I hope to finish my study there within a year, after which I would like to keep working on Level Design.
What’s your favorite ISOTX game? Knowing ISOTX since the time they started with Mid East Conflict, it’s hard to point to their best game. Warlord is a cool title to play with a couple of friends, but IG:Marauders is also very challenging and rewarding.
What’s your favorite game in the world? That’s like asking me what my favorite food is. It changes based on what I’ve been eating for the past few days, how I feel at that given moment and how much it rains. There are a few all-time classics that have stolen my heart: Doom II and Quake from Id Software. Up until today, communities keep those games alive (and running on high-end rigs) and I’m happy to be a part of that.
Among the more recent titles, C&C Generals Zero Hour is an awesome game, but so is Skyrim, the first Bioshock and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. All in all, it’s possibly the hardest question to answer. Ask me again next week, and you’ll get a different answer.
Can you please show us some of your work? As a cheapskate, I can just ask you to play (or remember) the second batch of Kolo Quests, the Atelia Region Quests or an Atelia Raid map. This image shows you what my work looks like, as a part of a greater progress.

We have a new update for you this week, including a new Danger Mission, and two new Lockdown Maps!
Danger Missions are a class of Prestige Missions, denoted by a red skull icon next to the mission card: this means they are for skilled players, with a high degree of difficulty. But of course with great risk comes greater opportunity for rewards – venture forth, Knights!
Legion of Almire: Elite recon rangers battle their way through swarms of undead (is there really any other kind of undead?) towards the within of the Legion’s necropolis. That’s city of the dead, for you Knights with no proper Latin grounding. If you survive your battle into the heart of the Legion’s city of the dead, then you can take their stuff.
The undead, it is understood, have really nice stuff.
Of course, if that sort of danger is not your thing – if you are more interested in, say, bashing in the helmets of your fellow Knights (in the name of honorable sport, of course), we also have two new Lockdown PvP maps for you!
Stadium: Team-only barriers and bombshells contribute to the sense of sporting good fun as, in the spirit of competition, you charge screaming into the wide-open battlefield and attempt to lay waste to your enemies. Exchanging battered and bloody armor with Knights of the other team following a match is strictly optional.
Mines: Do battle in – wait for it – mines! Featuring the added strategic hitch of being able to blast your way through the very rock to get at your opponents or impede their progress. Or maybe you just like blowing up stuff. We won’t judge.
Notes

Danger Missions will begin appearing in your Prestige Missions at Rank 4-1, or once you have entered Tier 2.

Be on the lookout for a number of new monsters when fighting the Legion of Almire, including the Almirian Crusader, the Bombie (yes, what it sounds like) and Deadnaught (eh? Eh??).

Ironclad Games and Stardock Entertainment are pleased to announce the release of Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion v1.03 today. Now available through the Steam client for all registered customers, this patch includes a large number of balance changes, bug fixes and more.
