Hello all,

Firstly, thank you very much to everyone helping out with reports from the hotfix and continued support as we focus on ironing out the issues in Viking Conquest.

This patch fixes a large number of issues and provides a lot of improvements. It is savegame compatible but some of you who have saves from the first release version may encounter some errors. These should resolve themselves in time. They are simply related to our efforts to trim down resource usage and improve performance (this patch should do both).

Hello all,

Firstly, as Armağan has already stated on the TaleWolds forums, we would like to offer our apologies to anyone having errors with Viking Conquest currently. We are aware that many users are having problems and this is not the way we would like to release games now or in the future.

Regardless, we are committed to bringing the DLC to a the standards that we expect of ourselves and the standards that you should expect from us. Thank you to those who have faith in our ability to do this; we are determined to repay that with results and hopefully this fix is a start.

Patchlog:

-Fix for crashing on entering settlements
-Reduced memory uses, to help with general crashing

This patch was released on Saturday. We are posting it here to make sure everyone can see the announcement. We are working on more patches to fix the game even more and improve performance.

The patch is savegame compatible but not multiplayer compatible. We will be updating our servers to test multiplayer shortly.

Hey Mount&Bladers!

For those wondering about the minor updates the past couple of days here is a little changelog:-

ALL:
-Updated and improved Workshop support. Will gradually start making sure mods on the Workshop are working properly and engaging with modders to ensure the mods are properly usable through the Workshop (not via external links).

-Other minor fixes

MAC OS X:
-Fixed issue with config/mod changer.

LINUX:
-Fixed black textures in Napoleonic Wars

Hello all!

Mount&Blade Warband is now functional on OS X and Linux platforms and has enabled support for Module downloading with Steam Workshop. These features are only newly released and there might be a few hiccups. Just let us know in the Steam or TaleWorlds forums and we'll continue to fix and improve our support.

This is the reason for the patches occurring over the past couple of days. Happy Mount&Blading!

Good day Mount&Bladers!

Today we are very pleased to announce that Mount&Blade Warband is extending its supported platforms to OSX and Linux! Currently, this should just be seen as a beta test as there are known (and probably unknown) bugs to be resolved but those of you with OSX or Linux machines can play the game right now on Steam.

To try out the beta on your Linux or Mac computer with Steam just complete the following steps:

  1. Right click "Mount&Blade Warband" in your Steam Library and select "Properties".
  2. In the window that pops up, navigate to the " BETAS" tab and select "Mac/Linux beta" in the dropdown menu.
  3. Install the game and play!

Hopefully you all enjoy the game on its new platforms and let us know if you encounter any bugs! Though it should be functioning pretty well already and is certainly playable.

Note: Napoleonic Wars is not yet supported but will be in the near future.

Mount&Blade Warband has been patched to version 1.158

The changes for 1.158 and 1.157 are as follows. Steam should automatically update your game:

1.157 Changelog:

-Rebalanced in-game economy to encourage a range of propserity among towns (previously most towns became rich or very rich).
-Fixed bug with 'auto_select_weapon_mode' occurring too frequently.
-Fixed a visual error with attacks that are cancelled mid air.
-Fixed animation error with pikes.
-Fixed bug with shadows.
-Added new operations for modders and modified/fixed some existing operations.
-Fixed bug that caused slow movement in certain buildings and with certain scene props.
-Adjusted the way attack cancelling is handled while jumping.
-Added more options to module.ini.
-Bug fixed where throwing axe and throwing knife models would show on shields with the wrong rotations.
-Increased maximum number of different party member and prisoner stacks from 32 to 256.
-Changed netcode to fix a bug where animations would sometimes fail to load.
-Rebalanced Khergit multiplayer troops and added 'Khergit Infantry' class.
-Adjusted price of certain items in multiplayer based on faction (certain items now cost different amounts of gold depending on faction).
-Rebalanced several items to create proper price/quality progression balance in multiplayer.
-Other minor bug fixes.
-Adjusted equipment of Vaegir troops for balance.
-Adjusted stats of ranged troops for balance.
-Shortened string of server messages.
-Reduced cap on turn speed in multiplayer.
-All spears can now rear horses.
-Singleplayer fixes.
-Updated fonts.dss file to support the Lithuanian language characters.

1.158 Changelog:

-Fixed issue with multiplayer troop stat assignment. Values are now shown correctly in the module system with a workaround to prevent auto-assignment, at the same "real" values as 1157. With the exception that Vaegir and Sarranid Archers now have a riding skill of 1 instead of 2 and that Nord Huscarls have 0 Power Draw instead of 1.
-Resolved crashing when prop_instance_play_sound is used server side but not synced client side.
-Resolved issue where all spawned items play only blunt sounds in multiplayer.
-Fixed minor issue with Lend Companion quest.
-Fixed slow movement on certain scene props occurring after a fix in 1157.
