Digitalmindsoft is working on a sequel to its real-time strategy-y tactical game Men of War: Assault Squad, publisher 1C Company announced today. Assault Squad 2 will bring the usual sequel stuff: better graphics, new modes, more maps, and whatnot.
The big list of improvements in the announcement includes "advanced multi-core support, advanced shader technology, interface and AI improvements, as well as added camouflage depending on season/map, fully updated inventory items with new graphics and updated vehicles, sound improvements, Steam multiplayer," and Steam Workshop support.
Assault Squad 2 also brings eight-player co-op and 8v8 competitive multiplayer, and single-player skirmishes ranging from "extreme tank combat to deadly sniper stealth missions."
Digitalmindsoft had tried to crowdfund a "spiritual successor" to Men of War named Call to Arms, but fell far short of its goal. So here it is, back on MoW, I guess.
Men of War: Assault Squad 2 is due to launch on PC between October and December this year.
