Dropzone - Deckard
Greetings Commanders! This week's patch will release on July 20th and is a bit of a game changer! Cross-Mode queue is finally here and as you might have seen on some of our other broadcast channels, the broken transmission we mentioned the other week was from our new Sniper pilot, SHRAPNEL! See below for all the details!

Gameplay Notes
  • One Queue to Rule Them All
    • Our Cross-Mode Multi-Queue system is here!
      • 1v1 and 3v3 queues have been combined for Standard (Unranked) games
      • Players now have the option to seek for games where they control 1, 2, or 3 rigs
      • Players can match up with other players of different combinations. For example, a player controlling 3 rigs can match with three players controlling 1 rig each, or even one player controlling 1 rig and one player controlling 2 rigs
      • Ranked play modes remain at 1v1 or 3v3
      • Ranked queue tab also lists your current REP per mode
    • Party Restrictions
      • Parties of 3 are only able to seek for 1 Rig control
      • Parties of 2 are able to seek for 1 Rig and/or 2 Rig control. If only 2 Rig is selected by the initiator, 2 Rig control is given to the initiator and 1 Rig control is given to the party member. If both are selected and a third player is not found in a reasonable time comparative to MMR, the above rules follow, otherwise the third player joins the team and all three players control 1 rig each
  • Masteries
    • 3 Rig Mastery has now been renamed to Multi-Rig Mastery. Any quests or scenarios in Multi-Rig Mastery can be completed using 2 or 3 rigs

Miscellaneous Notes
  • The Multi-Queue UI has been changed and cleaned up to support the Cross-Mode addition
    • Standard and Ranked modes have their own tabs
    • A checkbox to allow searching both Standard and Ranked at the same time has been added
  • The Pilot grid in the Builder now had tabs for 1 Rig, 2 Rigs, 3 Rigs and are connected to how many rigs are present on your dropships:
    • This release will default the selection to 1 Rig as most players play with 1 Rig
    • Defaulting to 1 Rig will also help train new players, letting them discover 2 and 3 rig control when they are more comfortable
  • Hovering over a pilot in the Builder now shows their animated full portrait
  • The Watch menu has been updated to include “Unranked”, “1v1 Ranked”, and “3v3 Ranked”
  • Team vs Team in Custom Lobby now has “Ranked Style Draft” support

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Mastery data record system for 1 Rig and 3 Rig was inverted
  • Fixed an issue where Turbine’s Special Move was only reducing his health by 4HP/sec instead of 22HP/sec
  • Fixed an issue where Surge Amplifier was not triggering Cortex’s passive
  • Fixed an issue where using Paradigm Shift on a flying Sniper while over a chasm would render the Sniper stuck
  • Fixed an issue where Hives that were casting spells where not maintaining the aggro of its target during the full spell cast
  • Fixed an issue where Infestation waves would start and end within a second or two if the user was idle
  • Fixed an issue where the Boss’s chain-lightning attack was attacking enemies outside of its range
  • Fixed an issue where Laser Lens was doing no damage if the projectile was released and the rig was killed before the projectile impacted the enemy
  • Fixed an issue where the gear card for Atomic Welder did not state that it heals 5HP per slag stack
  • Fixed an issue where hitting ESCAPE as the Watch menu was loading would overlay the Main Menu on top of the Watch screen and eventually in Draft
  • Fixed an issue where AFK or Abandoning players were unable to chat in post-match results chat. We allow this to give a player a chance to explain themselves if desired
  • Fixed an issue where Solo matches that were interrupted and auto-saved, where no getting accurate gear level data sent to them when resuming the saved game
  • Fixed an issue where the new HUD was not being hidden properly in Replays when unticking the HUD checkbox or when holding down the hotkey
  • Various localization fixes
Known Issues
  • Locking Observer slots in Custom Matches only works when both slots are empty
  • The Private Match setting only works when the game is already created, so someone can join in-between
  • Hive Link does not have a cast ring around hives to show where the ability can be cast
  • Global Chat does not reflect your changed name until you have restarted the game
  • Due to the new leveling system, older replays will be using observer information that is out of date. A replay wipe will be in the near future, so we suggest video capturing any replays you would like to save

So there it is! Lots of juicy changes and a bunch of new gear with our newest Sniper. Remember, Sniper 3 comes out pretty soon as well so be on the lookout.

As always, please let us know what you think of these changes/additions and if you have any bugs or balance feedback, post about it in the Steam forums or on the Dropzone Nation discord. We love hearing from you all

See you on Europa, Commanders!

Attention, Commanders!

In the course of the day we'll be rolling out a fix that will add queue penalties to players resigning a draft.

Your Dropzone Team
Dropzone - Deckard
Greetings Europa! This week's patch will release on July 5th. It's a relatively light one, but there are some nice nuggets for you.

Also... we recently received a broken transmission in the clear. It's very garbled and missing some data. We have our team working to clean it up, but the one word we have been able to understand so far is.... "shrapnel". Could be a distress signal, could be a debris clean-up crew. Unsure at the moment. We will keep you posted when we know more.

For now, here are the patch notes for Wednesday's release!

Gameplay Notes
  • Test Loadout Sandbox now supports unowned pilots
    • One of your biggest request is finally available!
    • Simply click on any unowned pilot in the Builder to add that pilot to your dropship, then click Test Loadout and you’ll be taken to the Sandbox where you can use their default gear to get a feel for them before purchasing
    • You cannot “Save” your loadout when you have an unowned pilot on your dropship
  • Sideboards for Ranked play have been removed from the game
    • This change is in direct response to Sideboards not fulfilling a balance function for counter-picking pilots
    • This removal is also preparation for a different change coming in a few weeks that will address the counter-picking that players will be doing for Ranked matches, now that the new leveling system is gear-focused instead of rig-focused
    • Any gear contained in your sideboard will automatically be returned to your inventory
    • Ranked play is still gated at player level 10 and needing to own 6 pilots
Miscellaneous Notes
  • Revamped in-game HUD and Builder UI (WIP)
    • To go along with last week’s in-game leveling changes we have slightly modified our in-game HUD to be sleeker and more screen-space efficient:
      • Squad level and Squad XP bar are shown in upper left and right corners, directly next to the new team banner, as well as directly underneath the new Command Grid
      • Team banners now replace having three player icons stacked per side
      • The scoreboard is the new location for the main overview information of all 6 pilots in the match. Respawn timers are visible for all 6, but health bars are only visible for your own team. Hovering over your teammates gives you their gear unlock/cooldown status
      • The Command Grid has been rearranged and is still WIP. When playing 3rig control (1v1 style) you’ll have an extra set of buttons on the left side of the Command Grid to cycle through your three rigs via tab, or mouse click
      • The Inspection Window has also been given a slight redesign
    • Builder UI changes
      • Gear/Software tabs have been added to the Gear window. Clicking on the tabs will automatically move the slot selection on the Builder Command Grid to the corresponding gear/software category for easier equipping
      • “Test Loadout” and “Save Loadout” buttons are now placed under the Pilot list
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the Surrender UI was not scaled properly for 4k resolution
  • Fixed an issue where chat messages from Draft were overlapping new chat messages once the game began
  • Fixed an issue where the Inspection Window was appearing on mouse button down, instead of mouse button up
  • Minor localization fixes
Known Issues
  • AVG antivirus software may incorrectly flag the Dropzone client as malicious. We have reached out to them to whitelist the client. In the meantime, you should be able to manually allow your antivirus software to allow the Dropzone client to run
  • There are known issues with words bleeding outside of their bounding boxes for every language other than English. Fixes are on the way
  • Locking Observer slots in Custom Matches only works when both slots are empty
  • The Private Match setting only works when the game is already created, so someone can join in-between
  • Hive Link does not have a cast ring around hives to show where the ability can be cast
  • Global Chat does not reflect your changed name until you have restarted the game
  • Due to the new leveling system, older replays will be using observer information that is out of date. A replay wipe will be in the near future, so we suggest video capturing any replays you would like to save

That about wraps up this week's changes! Thanks for reading and as always give us your feedback in the forums!

See you in the drift, Commanders.

Attention all Commanders!

As most of you have already seen in our Patch Notes release yesterday, build 2301 has a huge change to our in-game leveling system. If you haven't tried it out yet, or you've played with it but want to learn more about it, our very own Andrew Auseon has put together a short video explaining the change, how it differs from the old method, and why we decided to go this direction.

Also, if you look close enough, something not yet released is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the video. Can you find it? ;)

It's been awhile, Commanders! We are happy to report this week's patch will deploy on Wednesday, June 28, and boy is this a big one. We have a SIGNIFICANT change to the way our in-game leveling works, so please read the details and give us your feedback once you start playing a good amount of matches with it!

Gameplay Notes
  • New Rig/Gear Leveling System
    • To the bridge the gap between 1v1 and 3v3 play styles we have made a comprehensive overhaul to the way players use their level-up points for upgrading:
      • 1v1 and 3v3 will now use the same rule set
      • Players can now reach Squad level 15 in all game modes
      • Rigs no longer have a personal upgrade level, but share the total Squad level
      • Respawn times are now tied to the Squad level, starting at 30s and scaling to 50s
      • When you gain a squad level you get one point to spend on each rig you control
      • Points are spent on the individual active gears of each rig, instead of the rig as a whole
      • ALT + 1, 2, 3 are still viable shortcuts for quick upgrading, but now follows a lowest-to-highest, left-to-right upgrade order
      • ALT + Q, W, E are additional shortcuts added to quick upgrade the specific gear slot you want to put a level-up point into
      • Each gears’ unlock level determines how many points are spent in that gear slot to unlock it
      • Each gear slot, locked or unlocked, provides stat bonuses per upgrade, as seen by a “[STAT] UP!” bubble text above the Command Grid. Spending points on gears that are already unlocked provides extra stat bonuses of that slot:
        • Weapon Slot = DPS
          • DPS used to scale with rig level, but now scales with points spent in the Weapon slot
        • Body Slot = HP
          • HP used to scale with rig level, but now scales with points spent in the Body slot
        • Utility Slot = SPD
          • SPD did not previously scale with rig level, but now scales with points spent in the Utility slot, making rigs faster than ever before
      • All Special Moves unlock at Squad Level 10
      • All software is unlocked at level 1 and level scaling has been removed
      • All software has been reworked to adjust for this change. Please see details below in the Gear Changes section
    • This is a huge shift in the way we want players to approach their strategy before and during the battle
    • This change puts focus on the gear itself, when to unlock it and why, and also this put focus on what kind of stat buff you want to put into your rigs as you play, depending on the changing needs of the battle
    • We understand this is a huge difference from the way Dropzone has normally been played and we look forward to all your feedback on this new style of upgrading
  • 3v3 Ranked
    • 3v3 Ranked now allows parties to match with parties/non-parties of different sizes
      • Any combination totaling no more than 6 players will properly match, except for three parties of 2, as we do not want to divide up a party to complete a match
  • Inspection Window
    • Players can now left-click on any Kavash, friendly/enemy rig, or summoned unit to see all statistical information for that unit, including but not limited to HP, Armor, and buff/de-buff statuses
    • This information is only updated if the player has vision of the unit that is clicked on. Old information will persist if the selection is on a unit that is out of vision
    • Left-clicking anywhere else on the map will close the Inspection Window
  • Onboarding missions have been slightly reworked to account for the new leveling system

Pilot Changes
  • Cortex:
    • Default Sensor SW has changed from Intelligence Grid to Hive Imaging
  • General Vex:
    • Default Sensor SW has changed from Intelligence Grid to Satellite Network
    • Default Propulsion SW has been changed from Velocity Ramp to Turbo Pistons

Gear Changes
  • Combat Rush
    • Auto-attack damage bonus switched to 2% per stack rather than a flat damage bonus
  • Frag Rounds
    • Increased the explosion damage from 35 to 50 to be a little more competitive w/ Inferno Rounds
  • Plated Conduits
    • Armor from +5 to +3
  • Radar Mapping
    • Removed scaling, base sight range bonus from +15 to +30
  • Resolute Stand
    • HP Regen increased from 2.5% to 3.5%
  • Logic Rerouter
    • Lowered base CD from 40s to 30s and removed scaling
  • Linked Sensors
    • Base sight range bonus from 10m to 15m
  • Isolation Suite
    • Increased bonus armor vs Kavash from +7 to +9, removed HP bonus
  • Robust Circuits
    • Removed scaling. Now grants a flat +150 HP bonus
  • Heart of the Pack
    • Now triggers on Rig/Hive/Alpha/Boss kills rather than just Alpha kills
  • Velocity Ramp
    • Now grants bonus speed when there are no other rigs nearby
  • Reinforced Circuits
    • Now grants the Rig bonus armor when it is at or below 33% health
  • Satellite Network
    • Grants the Rig vision of Cores on the ground
  • Intelligence Grid
    • Grants the Rig temporary vision of a random enemy Rig every 15s
  • Emissive Controller
    • Now grants a permanent +SPD bonus on Rig/Hive/Alpha/Boss kills, similar to Amoeba Protocol
Miscellaneous Notes
  • Two additional “First Time Ever” penalty tiers have been added:
    • First offense ever gives you a message warning you that repeated offenses will increase your penalty
    • Second offense ever gives you a 2 minute queue penalty
    • Once these are both triggered all future offenses will be met with the already known Daily penalty tier
  • Holding down ALT when viewing a gear card will expand it to a more robust informational mode
  • The Test Loadout Sandbox now has a Jump Pad and an Uplink. Alpha position has been shifted
  • Game Action Updates field no longer displays level-up or uplink complete statuses
  • Metin 2 Promotional tab has been removed for all players who did not achieve level 10 before the promotion had completed
  • Gear card backgrounds are now more opaque, for ease of reading
  • Quickmatch checkboxes and labels now have a larger hit area, making them easier to click
  • Some additional hover-over SFX have been added to the Masteries page
  • The Boss power-up icon and Boss buff FX have been visually updated
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where party members were seeing their local game mode and region selection instead of the game mode and region selected by the party member who initiated the match seek
  • Fixed issue where an AI-controlled Pandora would use Litany of Plagues on her own friendly summoned units
  • Fixed an issue where the attack range of Plutus’ Lapse Generator was 17.5m instead of 20m, like normal Lapse Generator
  • Fixed an issue where the Sniper’s walk animation failed to loop after rig was stunned
  • Fixed an issue where the Health pickup in Emergency Evac did not loop its animation properly
  • Fixed an issue where the minimap's camera-view trapezoid on Styx was missing its bottom line
  • Fixed an error message that would appear when attempting to seek a match while partying with a player that was under a seeking penalty
  • Fixed an issue where Snipers transforming from Flight to Walk mode while hovering over a Jump Pad would not burn their transformation cooldown
  • Fixed an issue where the Jump Pads in STYX would play their launch SFX twice
  • Fixed an issue where in-game music would randomly stop and not play the next track
  • Fixed an issue where Kavash health bars at full health were not showing slagged status
  • Fixed an issue where the hover-text for Alpha Strike was stating the objective was worth 2 points instead of the normal 4
  • Fixed an issue where the 3rd player of a team was not getting proper visual feedback when calling or participating in a Surrender vote
  • Fixed an issue where Custom Lobby members would still appear in the lobby if they ALT-F4ed out of the game
  • Fixed an issue were it was possible to start Custom Lobby game with an offline player in the lobby
  • Fixed an issue where creating a Custom Lobby, then clicking Exit Game did not destroy the lobby
  • Fixed an issue where the Landfall SFX would play twice if Landfall was interrupted just before it took off
  • Fixed an issue where no artwork or scenario name was displayed for the loading screen if you clicked Retry for Emergency Evac I
  • Fixed an issue where changing your Player icon did not immediately update for the Match Rewards screen
  • Fixed an issue where the ambient SFX for STYX would still play even if Dropzone was not the top window

That's it for this week everyone. Let us know what you think in the forums and remember, Snipers 2 and 3 are less than a month away!

See ya, belters!

Dropzone - Deckard
Greetings Commanders!

Apologies for the lack of an update this week. Time flies when you're having fun, or at least working hard to include some big changes for the next release! Same thing, right?

As usual, we will provide all the details in our Patch Notes next week, but for now here is a small list of what you can expect:
  • Parties will be able to match with non-partied players for 3v3 Ranked
  • Left-clicking friendly and non-friendly units will open up an "Inspection Window" providing robust details about that unit
  • A large overhaul of our leveling up system to bridge the gap between 1v1 and 3v3 play styles
We have also been working on and balancing Sniper 2 and 3, as well as making changes to the Builder, Draft, and in-game HUD, but these changes will come at a later date, so stay tuned!

Thanks so much for your patience. We're looking forward to getting these changes to you as soon as possible. Expect a lot more to come! See you on Europa!
Dropzone - Deckard
Commanders, this week's patch will deploy on Wednesday, June 14.

Gameplay Notes
  • Queue Penalty Improvements
    • Abandon and Surrender options have been added to the in-game options menu
    • Getting kicked from a game due to AFK detection, disconnecting from a game, and choosing the abandon option in a match with 2+ human players is considered toxic behavior and will be subject to a queue penalty
    • Gracefully resigning, Team Surrender, and choosing to resign in matches with one remaining human player on the team is considered acceptable behavior and will not be met with a penalty
  • Surrendering
    • Surrender voting replaces Resign in matches with more than one human player on the same team. If a vote passes, all players on that team concede the match and the match ends. The player who calls the vote is automatically voted 'for' surrender. Players who call a vote cannot call another vote for 5 minutes
    • After Minute Y (5+ min), a team can vote to surrender, both in ranked and unranked. Voting is counted among all connected humans players on the team, abstaining from the vote counts as 'don't surrender'. The vote must be unanimous to pass
    • After Minute Z (10+ min) a surrender vote can be passed with a majority vote, instead of a unanimous vote
    • Gracefully resigning treats AI teammates as a non-vote
  • Achievements
    • To address the recent change where Achievements can no longer be earned in Custom Lobby or Challenge matches, the 2v2 specific achievements have been changed
    • Double Humiliation
      • This achievement is now called Humiliation
      • The new achievement objective is to team Wipe the entire team in a 1v1 match
    • Easy Pickings
      • The new achievement objective is to destroy each Hive on the map at least once in a 3VAI or 3V3 Match
  • Daily Bounties
    • Any Daily Bounties that have a requirement of completing matches are not rewarded or counted towards in the following scenarios
      • Dropping or resigning from the match before it was completed
      • Being kicked from a match due to AFK detection
    • However, if a match ends due to the opponent player/team resigning before the match ends, those matches are counted as complete matches
  • Objectives
    • Alpha Strike is now an objective on the Styx Map
    • Changes have been made to ensure players will not receive Eradicate and Max Eradicate objectives in the same match
Miscellaneous Notes
  • Top Right UI Improvements
    • Upcoming rewards are now displayed when hovering over the Player XP and Level
    • The progress bar has been updated to be more noticeable / less subtle
    • The Blueprints button has been removed – a Crafting button is now located in the Builder under the gear/software selection list
    • Hovering over the Player Portrait now produces a quick navigation menu with all the menus located in the Player Profile (Change Portrait, Overview, Rewards Timeline, Masteries, Collections, Match History, and Account Settings)
  • Masteries Polish
    • A Masteries option has been added to the Main Menu for easier navigation
    • Crate Graphics within the Masteries Page have been improved
    • Background art has been added for each Mastery
    • Font sizes have been changed to improve readability – other improvements have been made to make completed masteries more noticeable
    • Mousing over stars will now show rewards, similar to how mousing over crates shows rewards
  • Rewards Sequence Polish
    • Specific gear is now shown rather than a generic crates screen
    • Now that the rewards are automatically surfaced, crate rewards will be placed in the Collections menu rather than the Crates menu
    • Improved the timing and responsiveness of rewards screens (you can now click anywhere to advance animations faster)
    • Improvements have been made to distinguish between blueprints and crates and gear
    • The XP amounts are now shown with a bar in all of the UI
  • Shop Improvements
    • The improved Crate Shop that was previously only accessed through the Builder and Crate Opening screens is now available in the Shop

  • Added pagination mousewheel scrolling to the Rewards Timeline and the Match History page of the player profile

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where connecting Knockout’s Haymaker special to a flying Sniper over a chasm would teleport the Sniper to the center of the uplink cause a loss of control
  • Fixed an issue where selecting an already selected unit wouldn't re-center the camera or enable the chase camera
  • Fixed an issue where scrolling through a Pilot’s information in the store and then changing the page to a new pilot results in the scroll position resetting
  • Fixed an issue with the top-right reward notifications so the ping animation will play every time a notification is added instead of just the first time
  • Fixed an issue where Summoned Units’ HP bars would disappear if they only had a small amount of HP left
  • Fixed an issue where clicking on the "continue" button of an individual reward element while it was fading out would not cause the fly-away animation to finish immediately
  • Fixed an issue where Snipers could become stuck trying to find a pathable area if issued an attack move order that resulted with them stopping on top of a chasm
  • Fixed an issue where returning to the match rewards page from another page would restart all progression animation
  • Fixed an issue where Kavash spawned by hives could aggro over small gaps on the Styx map
  • Fixed an issue where the “revealed” red-eye icon would not show for either player when Thermal Imaging revealed enemies
  • Fixed an issue where clicking on the Player Name did not navigate to the Player Profile if attempted while in the Shop
  • Fixed an issue where Mastery Reward icons were appearing in a low resolution on Rewards Screen pop ups
  • Fixed an issue where Jovians awarded for Pilot Contract missions were not counted towards the Kingpin achievement
  • Fixed an issue where the Player XP bar could extend outside of the Quickmatch Menu after max profile XP had been reached
  • Fixed an issue where the title length of the Mastery Quest “The More the Merrier” caused the UI to be out of alignment
  • Fixed an issue where shared dunks in a 3v3 Match did not result in the entire team earning the “All Cores Belong to Us” achievement
  • Fixed an issue where scrolling through the gear list in the Crafting Menu could result in a blank space being shown where the next gear card should have appeared
  • Fixed an issue where clicking and holding a blueprint in the crafting menu resulted in a horizontal scroll bar being shown under the blueprint list
  • Fixed an issue where the hover UI in the match results screen did not have consistent detection boxes
  • Fixed an issue where the rewards screen was listing quest rewards as bounty rewards
  • Fixed an issue where entering and exiting the shop resulted in rigs on the dropship reloading in place – Rigs will now only reload when a purchase has been made
  • Minor localization fixes

Commanders, this week's patch will deploy on Thursday, June 8.

Gameplay Notes
  • 3v3 Improvements
    • The Command Grid in Team 3v3 now displays your teammates’ health and respawn timers, similar to the Command Grid in the 1v1 game mode
      • Hovering over allied pilot icons in the Command Grid will display your teammates’ gear loadout and skill cooldowns
  • AFK Detection
    • AFK detection is active in any mode where there is more than 1 human player (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, Infestation)
    • If a player has not made any commands in 90 seconds they will receive a timed pop up asking them if they are still playing. If the pop up is not responded to, the player will be removed from the match, they will receive a quickmatch penalty, and they will be replaced in the match with an AI player
  • Quickmatch Penalty
    • Quickmatch penalties have been put in place to prevent negative behavior that impacts the enjoyment of other players
    • Players can receive a Quickmatch penalty for:
      • Resigning from Draft
      • Being kicked from a game due to AFK detection
    • Players who receive a Quickmatch penalty will be unable to re-enter the queue (search for games) until the penalty timer expires
    • The Quickmatch penalty timer is shown under the Quickmatch button as well as in the Quickmatch Menu
    • The Quickmatch penalty timers will increase if players continue to show degenerate behavior
  • Achievements
    • Achievements can no longer be earned in Custom Lobby Matches or Challenge Matches
    • Due to this change, ‘Easy Pickings’ and ‘Double Humiliation’ cannot be completed at this time. They will be revised in an upcoming patch
  • Core locations for the shared hive in Styx have been updated. The cores will now spawn in a symmetrical way that’s fair to both teams
Miscellaneous Notes
  • Vanity (WIP)
    • Alter-egos skins and effects are now on a per-gear basis, and can be equipped to any Pilot that can use that gear
      • Players that purchased Squad or Commander Bundles will receive alter-ego skins for each gear piece that comprised an Alter-ego
      • Equipping a full set of alter-ego gear on eligible pilots will automatically switch their 2D pilot art and special move effects to their alter-ego version (Currently Daredevil Recon, Steam-powered Pandora, and Sportsball Vise)
      • The Alter-ego menu button in the builder is no longer available
Comments: With alter-egos, we wanted to create “What If?” alternate versions of pilots—what if Vise never took up core hunting, but became famous as a professional Sportsball player? While players thought that was cool, you also told us that the locked-in loadouts for alter-egos made them really limiting.
We’ve now tied the alter-ego skins and effects to gear pieces, so you can equip the skins on other pilots as well. (Example: using “Daredevil”-themed Rocket Cluster on Vanguard.)

  • The detection stat is now shown on the Stats Bar of the Command Grid
    • Because of this change, the kills stat is no longer shown on the Stats bar of the Command Grid – but this stat can still be observed on the Match Results screen
  • The detection stat is now shown on the tilde menu’s stats section’
  • Initiating a search in the Quickmatch menu now plays SFX
  • The XP bar has been updated to include a darker border, this is to prevent issues like the XP bar being obscured by the lava on the Styx map
  • The Pilot Details page style has been updated and now includes Pilot detection stats
  • Completed Daily Quests will now show different text based on their category
  • Custom Lobby chat will no longer automatically open when a Custom Lobby is created
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where new players without the Squad or Commander bundles were not getting Sniper gear at certain level ups correctly
  • Fixed an issue where the Tier I Mastery Chest could be opened again after the Mastery Tour was completed (These rewards were not given twice)
  • Fixed an issue where toggling the ready up option during the final second of the custom lobby countdown sequence would result in an error
  • Fixed an issue where health bar names could overlap and result in player names showing up on other rigs health bars
  • Fixed an issue where the Battle Cry effect would appear twice on the Command Grid if two were used near allied rigs at the same time. This effect did not actually stack, this was just a status effect fix for the Command Grid
  • Fixed an issue where clicking the 3-Rig Mastery button on the Player Overview page resulted in the user being taken to the 1-Rig mastery page
  • Fixed an issue where Omnipresence played no SFX when a user teleported in from off-screen
  • Fixed an issue where the Custom Games main menu option was not properly localized in all non-English languages
  • Fixed an issue where the boss stun ability VFX was cut off in certain areas
  • Fixed an issue where the banners for Wallace-Grumlin and Song Industries crates displayed truncated names
  • Fixed an issue where Tutorial Introduction pop ups displayed past-tense text – this text now reads “Skills Covered”
  • Fixed an issue where the player portrait would not update in the party UI after it was changed
  • Fixed an issue where Momentum Shifter could hit more than one large target
    • If a smaller target is hit on the same frame as a large target, they will still get the knockback
  • Minor SFX fixes
  • Minor localization fixes
  • Fixed an issue where Bounties were being awarded when you would resign from a 3v3 match
  • Fixed an issue where Lapse Generator and Nanite Wall were not counting towards the Mastery quest “The More the Merrier”
  • The ‘Easy Pickings’ achievement does not count Hives killed by a teammate towards the goal
  • Global Chat does not reflect your changed name until you have restarted the game
  • Party members that did not initiate a seek will see incorrect checkboxes sometimes (WIP)

Commanders, we've got a massive update coming your way tomorrow, Wednesday, May 31!

We've lifted the cloaking field on our 5th class, and the first Sniper pilot, LYNX, will be available for EVERYONE to play tomorrow. And where better to play than on a brand new map, STYX.

Gameplay Notes
  • New Map: Styx

Once Drauger Limited's foremost testing ground for military innovation, this subterranean installation poised above a flow of magma was formerly known the Bergstrom Engineering Development Complex (BEDC), until a rampaging Kavash Boss drove everyone off and made the site its lair. Core Hunters now refer to the site as "Styx," for its symbolic resemblance to the mythological river.

Styx has several unique map features:
  • A single Kavash Boss dwells near the center of the map
  • There are only three Vision Towers on Styx, instead of four
  • Both squads' dropships are located on the same side of the map, and players must venture out to secure Vision Towers and Kavash Hives
  • Styx has an exclusive 4-point map objective: Max Eradicate - Kill 250 Kavash
