Crag Hack Payback Ability now deals 200 base damage, even if health is above 50%.

Murazel Lesser Heal Auto heal decreased from 60 -] 40 heal
Titan Lightning Stomp Damage increased from 100 –] 250dmg

OTHER FIXES
  • Added damage and healing done to citadel.
  • Changes made to Skirmish AI to add player styles to the way the AI plays
  • Bug fixes and improvements across the game.

Darkness is looming over the world of SHOWDOWN… and with it come two brand new creatures, and one malevolent hero!

Hailing from the shadowy corners of the Darkness faction, Faceless, Vampire and Sandro, the shadow of death himself, have come to wreak havoc and harvest souls.




Along with our vicious newcomers, we’ll be adding in the first of our solo campaigns, following the adventures of everyone’s favourite rampaging Barbarian, Crag Hack! More details about the campaign and the abilities and playstyle of our new hero/creatures will follow soon!

This patch will also be our last patch before we come out of Early Access, meaning that there won’t be any updates for an extended period after this one. Don’t be alarmed though! This will allow us to bring you all a greater experience in the long term. As one of Ubisoft’s first real forays into the Early Access environment, we’ve learned a lot, but in our desire to deliver on new modes and features rapidly, we’ve realized there are some elements that require more time and attention than speedy iteration allows. This time between now and the full launch of the game will give us a chance to fully commit to finalizing these plans, and put your feedback to work for the final game. That being said, please do keep giving us your incredible feedback! It’s extremely valuable, and we’re excited to see what the future holds!

Due to some changes to the games PvP recently with the ATTACK CITADEL MODE, we added some 'roles' to our creatures in order to properly differentiate them. This post is to shine some light on what they are, and which creatures are better at certain tasks!

With the ATTACK CITADEL MODE all creatures now have a new spell rotation that fits within 4 objectives.

Those objectives will determine their target. We did a reset on all spell rotations to these default behaviors to put everyone on common ground. From there, you can change and adapt the tactics whichever way you want!

OBJECTIVES:

UNIT KILLER: Focus the target with the least health or the enemy citadel
DESTROYER: Focus the enemy citadel
DEFENDER: Focus the enemy who is dealing the most damage.
ORB HUNTER: Prioritize the orb’s collect.

Heya heroes! This weeks patch introduces some big changes to the game, including an all new game mode, hero control changes and more!

As part of these changes, Hangvul will be introduced as the default hero for the campaign, in place of Veyer. As such, all players will be granted Hangvul for free, with all of his skills unlocked from the get go for existing players. Also, due to changes to a lot of abilities within recent patches,we will reset all creature programming, meaning you’ll have to set up your tactics again with the new/altered spells. Now, let’s get into the notes:


NEW GAME MODE – CITADEL ATTACK
  • We’ve replaced the DUEL PvP and SKIRMISH with CITADEL ATTACK.
    • In Citadel Attack, the objective is to destroy the Citadel of the opponent’s team.
    • The Citadels are protected by a SHIELD that needs to be destroyed before attacking the Citadel.
    • To destroy the shield of the citadel, you need to gather ENERGY. There are three ways to gather energy, each with a different energy value.
      • Collect ORBS that appear across the battlefield.
      • Kill an enemy creature.
      • Kill an enemy hero.
    • The HERO now respawns when killed. The cooldown increases after each death.

NEW HERO CONTROLS
  • RIGHT Click on the ground to move your hero around the map.
  • RIGHT Click on a target to use the DEFAULT ATTACK on him.
  • To use HERO abilities, Left Click or use the shortcut associated to the ability to select it and LEFT Click on your target to launch.

CREATURE SWAPPING
  • In PvP or Skirmish matches, you will now be asked to select 4 creatures to accompany your hero into combat. Two of the creatures will be on the sidelines, ready to go in combat when needed.
  • You can swap creatures either by selecting them with a click or by using keyboard shortcut Q, W and then by selecting which figurines you want to swap out. Each time a creature gets taken out of the field, it goes into a COOLDOWN before being active again.
  • While on the sidelines, the creatures are slowly healing. If a creature was killed before being swapped, it will go in a COOLDOWN before being active again.

CREATURE FURY LEVEL
  • When creatures are idle on the sidelines, they enrage because they are not part of the battle. As time goes by, their FURY level goes up. When they finally make it into the fight, they will have a buff that is proportional to their FURY level.

DEFAULT CREATURE PROGRAMMING
  • To provide an easier introduction to the game as well as provide examples of creature behavior with the new game mode, we’ve revisited all of the creatures’ basic programming to fit with one of these four creature basic behavior:
    • UNIT KILLER: Primary behavior will be to target enemy units and kill them as fast as possible.
    • DEFENDER: Primary behavior will be to either heal units and the Citadel or help other units with the use of crowd control abilities.
    • DESTROYER: Primary task will be to destroy the opponent’s Citadel when the shield is down.
    • ORB HUNTER: Primary task will be to collect orbs across the battlefield when they appear.

60 FPS
  • We have made significant optimization during the combat of the game to improve framerate.
  • Most RECOMMENDED builds should now run at 60FPS. We will provide a complete SPEC update in one of the upcoming patches.

CAMPAIGN
  • The campaign is now playable with Hangvul as a character for newcomers.
  • BASIC FIGHTS difficulty have been slightly increased.
  • All creatures have all their skills unlocked, in CAMPAIGN, you unlocked SKINS, POSES, & COLORS.

OTHER FIXES
  • Added the possibility to customize your own keyboard shortcuts in the OPTION menu.
  • Casters now have visual feedback to illustrate their RANGE as well as a feedback on AoE spells.
  • New UI to support CITADEL ATTACK game mode.
  • Two cameras are available to play the game: Tabletop and Action camera. Use ALT to change between the two of them.
  • A myriad of bug fixes across the game.


BALANCING CHANGES
  • We’ve reduced the number of abilities a HERO can have access to during combat from 6 down to 4.
  • The default attack is now available at all time on RIGHT Click.
  • We have completely reviewed all of the HERO’s abilities. Hero’s now have access to 8 abilities + default attack.

Heroes of the Realm!

This Friday, March 31st, we'll be doing a special State of the Realm broadcast, live from our Montreal offices!

We'll be discussing the current state of the game, and give you some more intricate details about a brand new upcoming game mode! Be sure not to miss it!

Hey heroes!

Next week (the week of the 13th of March), there will be no update for Might & Magic SHOWDOWN.

Never fear, though! This just means our next update will be even bigger. We’re aware of some concerns within the community that there a) isn’t enough PvE content and b) a distinct lack of players queueing for PvP. What we’re working on is specifically designed to tackle these issues, amongst others, with one aspect of the update being focused on the multiplayer PvP side of the game, and the other being a fully fledged solo campaign mode.

We can’t share any more information about this with you right now, but keep your eyes peeled for more sneak peeks!
