Updates to Grotesque Tactics 2 – Dungeons and Donuts have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

- Fixed wrong patch order (1.6.4.0 did not include 1.6.3.0 patch)

- Drunken Goblins are still drunk, but don't attack levers anymore

- Data loss when changing languages or pressing the Default button

- Problems with Deacon’s skill 2 and 3
- Deacon Hunter Talent
- Some quest descriptions now contain more detail to avoid confusion
- Candy's Battlebow now has autohit
- Rare OnRightPicked Crash for CEntityAI classes (like doors or stairs)
- Arena Quests if you haven't completed the Candy quest
- Spawn effects on doors (graphic bug)
- Drake Motivation Ultimate skill is no longer a permanent buff
- Some water items are no longer missing
- Problems concerning changing maps with Deacon and/or Sweet Violence in tow during the spider quest
- Missing faction names
- Some dialog that didn't launch, launch now
- Sargor no longer greets you again after you finish talking with him
- The mute elven warrior by the camp fire can talk now
- Hotkeys for inventory and quest log are no longer swapped
- Dialogue where text and audio didn't match
- Pinky the chocochick princess is no longer confused about its sexuality
- Recipe names were fixed to be uniform
- Angelina no longer confuses Drake with Sweet Violence when eating the candy cane
- Corpses with "Text Missing" in the tooltip now have actual text

Updates to Grotesque Tactics: Evil Heroes have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Updates
  • Correct shadows in the forward rendering system (deactivate quality renderer for faster performance)
  • Config tool no admin password needed (if you have a few user accounts copy your save game to your current username)
  • Configtool is now a lower framework version to improve compatibility
  • Adjusted brightness at night
  • You can load old saves with old forward renderer (deactivate quality renderer to play)
  • More error outputs if depth of field effect could not be created
Fixes
  • Shadow flickering in forward rendering system
  • Animation problems in forward rendering mode and multicore cpus
  • Restart of app if renderer is being changed (otherwise render mode won’t be initialized correctly on some machines)
  • Error "Steam must be running to play this game (SteamAPI_Init() failed"
  • Crash if a character that has no dialogue would be talked to during another conversation with right mouse button
  • An engine crash occurring during entity sorting

  • New optional deferred rendering system with day night cycle, screen space ambient occlusion (SSAO), depth of field, rim lighting, unlimited dynamic lights, etc...

  • Indoor levels are now cached out
  • A selection particle rotation problem
  • A GUI problem with special attacks and right mouse button
  • A rare crash in the event system
  • An AI problem with characters being both in seduced and berserk states
  • On occasion the dialog system would freeze if it focused on a dead NPC
  • Some items overlapped in the inventory system
  • Added a tool in the root game directory to help bypass the config tool for those experiencing problems

  • Optimized english language texts
  • Trinigy vision engine update to 7.6.24, may improve stability (depends on DirecX SDK February 2010, you may need a local directx update)
  • Optional code for positioning hardware cursor (better results on lower framerates)
  • Performance improvements in quest
  • and dialog-system (fixes cyclic fps drops)
  • Config tool: added background music
  • Config tool: added windowed option
  • Config tool: added disable intro-videos option
  • Config tool: removed tahoma font dependancy (fixes a crash on some machines)
  • Fixed a bug where pressing escape in the option menu the first time would mess up the menu system
  • Clamped the mouse speed to 0.1
  • More error outputs if the gfx hardware does not meet the requirements
  • Charmed chars are auto-uncharmed if game goes into explore mode (fixes misc potential quest deadlocks)
  • Camera: iso move speed has been increased
  • Camera: height angles have been changed to avoid level collisions
  • Necessary release files are now copied into the related MyDocuments folders (write access is required, otherwise an error occurs)
  • Alternate improved exception handling with the option to send debug reports anonymously
  • Fixed a bug where you could not attack anymore after a levelup
  • Fixed a bug where the conversation would not continue if the related partners were out of processing range
  • Changed chocochicks fraction to friendly in order to avoid some movement deadlocks
  • Changed fraction of three soldiers in riverwind in order to avoid a movement deadlock situation
  • Dawnclaude is set to invisible before he joins the party (otherwise it was possible to kill him in advance)
  • Fixed a tooltip for dawnclaude not showing up
